@Isaac93113 im using it aswell think i found out how to do it i found user config but the g god and ammo codes were not written in the g_ codes section so i wrote it my self . gonna test it now and see if it worked .

idk I pirated my Metro and it never had any stream folders. I was also using XP at the time and haven't played it since.

a tip for anyone playing this game and getting pissed off because nothing DIES!

Find the auto shotgun and put all the money you have into bullets for that. Keep the throwing knives and silenced pistol for when you need to be quiet. The harder monsters take several clips of the VSS and AK to kill, so it's damn near pointless to use it.

It will act like your going to die but you won't.

While you won't die from normal attacks, gunshots, radiation, you will still die from choking, getting run over and having a mutant jump and biting your head off.

You also need to guard your partner as they are not unkillable and will cause you to lose if they die.

God and unlimited ammo does work using notepad. This is how you do it.

Go into your Metro2033 in program files and open user.cfg file and scroll down until you come to the g_

You need to change the g_god and g_unlimitedammo from off to on.

Once you do that you need to copy

g_global_god off

g_god on

g_unlimitedammo on

and past it into the user.cfg file in

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\4A Games

You need to do this part every time before you start the game.

You can turn global god on it's just that you won't be able to kill anything then as they are gods :P

@sgtkiko The 2 files you need to edit is the "user.cfg " that is in the Metro program files and the "User.cfg" that is in the "Application Data" folder.

You need to paste

g_global_god off

g_god on

g_unlimitedammo on

into the user.cfg file that is in "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\4A Games" every time before you start the game.

The only thing you need to change in the "User.cfg" that is in the program files is

"g_god off" and "g_unlimitedammo off" change the "off" to "on"

You only need to change this once unlike the "User.cfg" that is in the "Application Data" folder.

You need to set the settings to "show all hidden files and folders"

I got it to work on PC, I copied god mode and infinite ammo sections from program's own folder to that AppData folder and made it read-only. Unfortunately I already started over the game :( so I lost savegames.

If you are not find this directory, then switch on the hidden/system files visibility in your file manager.

It still doesn't seem to be working for me... I have g_global_god on and g_god on in both user.cfg files in Steam and My Documents (which is just Documents on Vista), they're both Read-Only, and I still get killed... maybe I missed a step somewhere but it doesn't seem like it...

Update: I tested and it works.  what I forgot to post was that the file needs to be "Read Only" and both the user.cfg in your Steam Folder and in your "My Documents" Folder...

Navigate to the game folder, find the user.cfg file and open it in a text editor. Change the following lines and save changes for the desired effect.

Change g_global_god off to g_global_god on

and change g_god off to g_god on for God Mode

Change g_unlimitedammo off to g_unlimitedammo on for unlimited ammo.
