  • it al depends on the ground rules for the park. in astros stadium if a ball hits a flag pole and returns to the field of play its a homerun. this doesn't look like a homerun to me but im not an analyst..

  • Who cares?

  • one time i was playing and i hit one off the wall... but the outfielder's hand magically went "inside" the wall to make the "catch"(they called it an out)

  • That's a hr if that what u mean

  • i know that play u were talkin bout! it was the ball kevin youkilis hit and jhonny damon caught but hit the wall and the ball flew out and just stood on top of the fence for like 3 seconds! it was funny!!!

  • @failatfailing11 yep thats the one

  • you should of seen mine it was in mlb 2006 so the guy hits a home run to left field and center fielder has it and he throws to second and first to get the double play the runners were jogging because it was a homerun but guess not

  • it hit the top of the fence u can easyly tell it happens all the time in the bigs'

  • Wow you are stupid that's a normal home run it happens all the time in the pros hitting the top of the wall you might want to watch baseball once in awhile or play it in real life.

  • how the fuck is that a glitch it hit the wall it hapens to me all the time but in real life

  • stop your bitchin, its just a game...why don't u go fuck some girls instead of whining over mlb 10 the show

  • What's baseball.

  • Lol you fags are arguing over a video game

  • If its called a homerun in a different view and clearly not a homerun then the refs are calling bad BS calls just like the Detroit's pitcher perfect game last out

  • it looks like its still in play from that view

  • Try to show a better view of the hit

  • You are right, it shouldn't have been called a home run. This play happened during the playoffs this year. I don't remember which game, but it bounced back in from the top of the wall. The top of the wall is typically not a home run. Of course it all depends on the ground rules of the park it is played in. In some parks (usually marked with a yellow line) the top could be a home run.

  • still homerun. no glitch.

  • i keep telling people buy 2k10 even if u own a ps3

  • Not a homerun, should have been in play. i'm guessing the game thinks it hit beyond the wall, even though it's animation did not show that.

FYI, it wouldn't be a homerun if it hit the a padded yellowline and came back in play either.hitting the yellow line does not = homerun. It has to be beyond it.

  • Ok just to get this straight AGAIN, all the people caliming this is a home run already would be correct if there was a yellow line on the top of the fence, by hitting the top, it would be considered going over the line a therefore a homerun. Since there is no line, it must go over the fence in order for it to be a homerun.

  • it doesnt have to leave the part to be a homer... it hit the top of the cushion...

  • it just hit the top of the wall retards thats a hhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnn

  • @armzama lmao

  • @coolvidssubscribe13 I remember that... Good stuff

  • nope dats a double samething happend in a game wit the nationals bottom of the 9th bases load n hit top of the center field wall bounced back in n they called it a double

  • there are fans at this a's game. i think that is the real glitch here

  • lol

  • Why dont you go look it up or watch baseball its not a homerun if it comes back in when it hits the top of the wall

  • I have this game, there is a big glitch in rangers ballpark, if you hit the left field wall it goes through the wall and called a home run, i should have taped it, it was crazy.

  • yeah, just cuz it hit the top of the wall doesnt mean its a home run unless they have that yellow line and it crosses the line

  • In my opinion, its a glitch cause, if it hit the top off the wall it wouldve bounced over the fence but this bounced back in so it could be a glitch on the ball movement if it did hit on top of the wall

  • the play you were talking about at the end was only fair because the player took it into play just like robbing a home run

  • its not a glitch.. and a ball can be hit off the top of the fence and bounce IN.. look at the angle it hit the wall.. its a legit homerun, not glitch, watch baseball once in a while, happens all the time.

  • @wesispimp9000

    1. You sir are very cool.

    2. What does it hit on the other side of the fence to make it bounce back in?

Oh yeah, that's right, it hit the WALL. Hitting the wall is totally a home run.

  • @pl02pl

    1. thank you i know

    2. it doesn't hit ANYTHING.. it doesn't NEED TO the top of the wall is CUSHION.. and ya hitting the top of the wall IS a home run.. GO LOOK IT UP...

  • @wesispimp9000

My understanding is that if there is a yellow line on the fence, and it goes over that yellow line, then it should be a home run. There is no yellow line on this fence, so the ball would have to go over.

If you would be so kind, I'd like to see the official rule for your reasoning.

  • @pl02pl Looking at the replay this is NOT a home run. It would've had to bounce off the top of the wall and left the ball park. Therefore it's a glitch it's not a home run. Almost any other stadium though that would've been a homerun.

  • @pl02pl

ok so your saying all along that wall wouldn't be a homerun? wow.

  • Comment removed

  • lol wheres the instant replay ?!!?.... i know they have it in the game too

  • even if it hit the top of the fence its a homerun. which is a homerun

  • thats not a glitch as long as it hits above a yellow line it's a homer. In life there would be a yellow line just below the top of the wall so that is a homer

  • I think its a homer cause it just tipped the top of the wall. I had something similar in Shibe Park, it hit the fence in a linedrive fashion and bounced back which should've stayed in play but it was ruled a homer, when it was clearly not one. It was an easy play compared to this.

  • wow u idiot its a hr cuz it hit off the top of the wall

  • @giants4233 wow u idiot its not a hr cuz it hit off the top of the wall. learn your baseball before critizing everyone

  • hey um.. yeah If you acually watched a real mlb game and the ball hit the top of the fence it would ruled a homerun.Ive seen it happen

  • It's not a glitch... it's called "a bad call"

  • Go BLUE JAYS GO! No home run, doubble, possibly a tripple.

  • if you pause it at 15sec it hits the top of the wall

  • this is not a glitch cuz in the reall mlb that is ruled a home run it is not a glitch

  • @Csimac1: Really huh..? You know this because your a Umpire for MLB..? The ball never went over the fence.. You are wrong.. This game does need some polishing up, but it's still great none the less..

  • woah thats odd

  • It would be hr if it bounced over the fence, but in this situation when it bounced back ball is still in play so no hr

  • It's a homerun because it hit the top of the wall

  • @cubluejays26: Your wrong.. it has to officially make it over the fence for it to be considered a Home Run..

  • that's just a plain idiotic call. Pujols #1!!!

  • Thats not a glitch? if the ball bounces back towards the field off the top of the fence then the ball is still in play.

  • @LifesEternity990 It was called a home run though.

  • that happened to me too. Theball I hit was even lower off the wall than this video. I was laughing my ass off...

  • It was a HR cause it bounced off the top of the fence, i could be wrong but to me ,it looks like it came off the top of the fence

  • @DeedeeT3000 you'd think it would continue over the fence if it bounced off the top though right, must be just a video game thing haha

  • @pl02pl eh, i bet real umpires would have a problem figuring this out if this homer was real

  • @pl02pl tht happens in real life too so itz not a glitch

  • @pl02pl actually there is a video, a ball hit the top of the wall and stayed there.

  • @DeedeeT3000 it has to go over, or stay on top of the fence, if it comes back into play after hitting the fence it is in play.

  • yeah, you know, it may have looked like a total glitch in real time while playing in the game, but it just isn't really conclusive evidence for either side of a home run or otherwise (probably) a double.

And someone actually wanna go look up the official rule for home runs?

  • Pl02pl, the reason it was called a homerun is because it hit the top of the fence.. It is concidered a homerun

  • btw if the ball bounces off the wall it wouldn't be considered coming back into play it would always be in play come on now put a little thought into your statements

  • 2k10 blowz mlb10 rules

  • wow and you make fun of 2k for their glitches great game though lol

  • xbox > ps.... but... the show >>>>> 2k10

  • If the ball bounces off the wall and comes back into play, it's not a home run. If it bounces off the wall and over the wall, it's a home run. Since the ball bounced back into play, it should have been called back. Don't they have replay's in this game now?

Can't wait to get it tomorrow!

  • haha jordan good luck with 2k10

  • PS3 is way better xbox 360 has ps2 graphics

  • Comment removed

  • sometimes when that happens to me the umps actually go inside to reveiw it and then they make the decision whether its a HR or NOT

  • uhhhh are you serious? it has to cross over the fence, plus if you watch again, the ball like doesn't even hit the top of the wall, it's more the face of the wall. and look who thinks he's the baseball master too. jesus.

  • not a glitch if the ball hits the top f the like it did there it is a homerun no matter if the ump was rite or not. god watch baseball alittle more a learn the game of baseball before you say its a glitch

  • Thats no glitch man, thats as real as it gets! the umps got it wrong lol it happens

  • Yeah, the ball did not even go over the fence. Maybe they put in a thing where umpires can make errors and get the play wrong. I would just take the home-run as a gift. Hope you won the game.

  • lol i have mlb2k10 for xbox want to see homerun gliches. jd drew hit a homerun with no bat in his hand!!!

  • pl02pl is right

  • ?? It hit off the top of the wall but didn't go over.

  • @pl02pl If it hist the top of the wall as you said in this comment, then it is indeed a homerun. It's not a glitch umps make wrong calls in this game so even if it didn't hit the top of the wall the ump might have though it did.

I'm a little surprised the umps didn't decide to see the replay but there were worse calls in the history of baseball.

  • dats off da wall dats no glitch is a double or triple......:-)
