Because poverty is the main reason why people create much more offspring than normally would be the case. This is offensive. The author should read Edward Bernays book "Propaganda" as this is so much propaganda. I used to believe the overpopulation myth, but then after taking every environmental/ecology class I could and getting a BS in environmental actiivism, I realized there's PLENTY for everybody.
