This should be made into the world's international anthem. I know a lot of people just think Fraggle Rock is just a children's programme (I'm 25), but I don't think it's just the children who need to learn from this. Jim Henson was a genious and even though he's not here, I will show his work to anyone who crosses my path - especially the fraggles. Who knows, one day, the world might decide to sit up and listen and, at least try to understand.
If memory serves Henson said that what he was shooting for when he made Fraggle Rock was a show that could bring world peace. He might not be able to do it, but I have to say that looking at it again it does an admirable try.
Jim Henson would indeed be happy to see his work on Youtube, where anyone in the world can access it. Especially since so many people can't get the DVDs. The next time I go to FYE, I'm SO buying every Muppet DVD I can get my hands on! (Erm.. and afford. XD;;)
Jim Henson was a unique man. Very few people could've done what he did, and the cancellation of Fraggle Rock is nothing short of a crime against humanity!
typical liberal bullshit. you think the islamics what to be our brothers? they are brain deadcult members blindly worshipping some dead nutcase. AS real Christians first and Americans second, this is a real threat to ur freedoms and liberties. the election of Hussein obama is the first lost battle.
MAdk1p, you are a complete moron. You can't even form coherent sentences, let alone express any logical thought process to express your crazy views (on a clip for a kids' show, no less!) I'm pretty sure that the "definition" that you used for Islam applies to Christianity as well.... "brain deadcult members blindly worshipping some dead nutcase" describes the vast majority of the world's religions. Were you one of the retards who said those against GWB were unpatritiotic? Irony is funny.
All of Jim Henson's creations are classics. Him and his creative team did a fantastic job! I was just thinking about this song the other day and I only remember seeing this episode once when I was a little girl. Thank you so much for posting it!
There truly is something magical about music. Music like this gives out important messages to the younger genteration. In this case, we, the new genertation, must all learn to accept our differences and similarities to make life in this world a bit more peaceful and loving.
This reminds me of the old days. The really old days when Fraggle Rock was on HBO and I'd watch it. Back when cable TV was meaningful and worth having.
Both their voices are very little..which fits the message well I think :). They are suppose to be some of the youngest, if not the youngest characters...
I was sadly born shorty after Jim had passed so I never really knew who and what he did until i was around 8. I grew up with old sesame street, muppet show, and fraggle rock tapes and I dream of being a puppeteer for the muppets. at every school I had been to I was always laughed at because I was a fan of the muppets. If we can expose this show to the current generation we can do what Jim belived in, Making the world a better place for the next
For some reason even though I was about six when he dead I was never told he did and no one around me ever talked about it, so when I found out many years later it came as a shock to me :(
I believe in a world where the word enemy no longer exists. Where those who need, find what they require. Where those who don't, give. I believe that when everyone is a brother or sister to the next, the world will truely be a safe place to live.
The thing that blows me away is i am 28 years old. I never understood anything these fraggles were talking about until now. These Fraggle songs are incredibly deep and thought provoking as an adult. I am ashamed of how Children these days missed out on this show
Well they do say we live and learn :). But it is never too late to start sharing an older show and its message. It is only too late if you make yourself believe it is..Keep the hope alive, and it will last for as long as there is someone left to give it to :)
Beck has a point. After all, with the upcoming movie, the message could be re-rooted into the next generation, regardless of how cynical and dark the world's become, because goodness knows we could sure use the Fraggle magic right about now!
I know, the buttons the itty bitty buttons Ee! :) Even though the doozers were never my favorite part of FR the fact that they were so tiny and moved so well always made me wonder how they made them...
Wow, so I've been trying to find this song on youtube for a while. I've been searching and waiting for months, I don't know why it never came up when I searched. My brother had to direct me to your channel.
Thank you so much, I love this song. Best Fraggle Rock song. Thanks for the memories!
yeah, thank you very much for uploading this song. the last time, I watched this episode, was 15 years ago, but i've never forgotton this song. one of the best of the whole show, I think :) :)
It really is, and when you watch it together with the whole series it just ties everything up neatly :). Season 4 really is, I think one of the best endings to a show I've ever seen :). It's too bad they don't make storylines like this anymore...
Baloobius/Orange/RedSonga/AliconMoonstar/Becky: It shows that--despite your inner Mokey (artist wise)--you have both Red's sense of adventure & the keen explorer know-how of Gobo and Matt. Good for you!
Baloobius: You're welcome. After all, as was said by many a poster on your other account, you are a ray of sunlight in a world covered in darkness (that is, despite cynical attitudes and demoralized behaviors, you're one of the few to stand out against that, and for that, you should be commended).
Yay! First post... I gotta tell ya, if anyone is curious about looking into Fraggle Rock and seeing what this show was about, this is truly the song that shows it's beautiful core.
"There's something magical about music. . .there really is."
Say no more.

I think Jim Henson would feel very proud knowing his message is still heard loud and proud. Rest in peace, Jim.

To be fair, they rarely made them as good as this back then either, but that was Jim Henson's genius

It's a shame we will never learn these kinds of lessons on today's stale children's programming (except SS, which still remains a great show).

I think it's because they think it is not an issue anymore. But just because you don't talk about it doesn't make it go away IMHO :(

Baloobius: Yep. IMO, the order of age (if there is such things) would be: Uncle Matt, Mokey, Gobo, Red, Wembley, & Boober.

Close. I checked Muppet Wikipedia, and Wembley is, in fact, the youngest. ^_^
