I Hated Dale when he raced and really didn't follow him, after seeing all these videos on here, the programs on espn on what kind of guy he WAS and the kind of driver he WAS.
How can you not like the guy? I do and how many years has he been gone.
Dale Earnhardt will Never die in my eyes,as long as i view videos of him....
Me as an Quarter Midget driver i know what it is like to be in a crash and i know how much it hurts to hit a wall hard and then get hit even harder from behind let me tell you it hurts like bad HELL! so Dale i fell the pain that you went through that day in turn three and just remember that we will all see you again one day. intimidater you will never be forgotten you have your own special place in all of are hearts and know that you where loved and you where hated but you where respected ;"(
Dale Earnhardt could have been a leader in the field and worn the HANS device, but he chose not to. He contributed to his own death through stubborness. As for the thousands of drivers who were saved by the HANS device? That's rubbish, they were being used almost all over the world, and the US and NASCAR in particular were among the last to make them compulsory.
@saleens66 no you are not :'( i hope not we have lost are greatest racing hero by far. Dale was one of NASCAR greatest racers by far. he was loved he was hated but most of all he was respected.
MW crew chief "you and the 8 baby you and the 8" then this " the 3 and the...... whooooooooo big truble, big wreck behind them" we lost the best man that had evered lived
@TheGoaltender94 Yes, all I wanted to do was race with my hero. 10 lap sprint to the finish after on Daytona for the win...but that'll never happen. I can't even get Dale's autograph to go next to my Dale Jr. one (when he race the 3 AcDelco busch series car) when Dale died, so did my will to become a racer in Nascar...
Great, well done video. Only adition I would say should be in here is a clip of Waltrip winning the 500 and then Jr winning the 400 with waltrip #2. But other then that PERFECT VIDEO! Emotional on so many different levels. Like im sorta pumped up and sad at the same tiem
I remember watching the race at my grandmothers house i was about 10 years old. i seen him wreck off of that turn and i knew it was bad due to head on impact to the wall plus he didnt jump out of the car as quick as usual then when i heard he passed i cried not because he passed away but how much lives he touched at the races or even at home he was a great racer and to this day when i watch the daytona 500 i raise three fingers on the third lap. Im getting into racing soon and i cant wait.

Dale Sr died just months before the horrible 9/11 tragedy took place. Now he gets to meet those Americans who lost their lives on all 9/11 flights in Heaven. RIP Intimidator!! We miss you now more than ever.
Bobby Rahal pissed me off severely when he dissed Dale Sr after his death. Rahal called him a "risk taker" & "reckless". Rahal's had it in for NASCAR for a long time. And he's one of the biggest assholes in auto racing. Long live #3 Chevy Goodwrench. Long live Dale Earnhardt Sr!!
Well yeah! If it isn't obvious, dale jr was going to be great and win lots of races and a few championships. Then just after he finishes his rookie year, his father DIES! It unfortunately affected the way he goes about his racing!
there is NOBODY and i mean NOBODY! who misses dale earnhardt more than me, or anybody who cried more than i did, when dale died a piece of me died inside i didnt want to continue living. i had to go to therapy and get anti depresnts because i loved that man sooooooo much! i am not trying to one up anyone or anything but i cant stress enough i was, am, and always will be Dale Earnhardts biggest fan, god rest his blessed soul i know hes in heaven with adam petty and all the others kicking ass RIP1

;(. This is the side of NASCAR people dont like. Know one whats to see this stuff happen in this sport. Dale Earnhardt Sr was an insporation to people and who could hate Dale Sr. The man was a legend and "The Intimadator". Dale.
We miss you and we hope that the checkered flag is still waving up there in heaven. No one will ever be better than you Dale. We <3 You Dale.
I was only 7 on that sad day in 2001...but I was affected by it so much. I refused to take of my Dale Sr. T shirt for days and i put my toy cars on the shelf. They are still there today. Dale Earnhardt Sr. is my hero, and my motivation to succeed in everything I do.
1:30 - that was the time when everyone really cried for dale jr... 1 week after his fathers crash dale jr crashed on lap one head on to the wall... michael waltrip said when he drove by and saw the 8 sitting up there wrecked he started to cry... that was such a sad week for everyone.. .RIP 3 always and forever
@jzk420 And I wish you would get a fucking life, You dick sucking, ass lickin', fuck stick!!! I hope every last Earnhardt fan fucking tortures you in the most PAIN ways!!
I remember seeing the crash & thinking it didn't look too bad but then I saw a clip of them taking him into the ER doing CPR on the stretcher & I knew it was not gonna' end good. Another one gone too soon.
Your death wasen't good for anyone, Nascar lovers have a big felling about you. You were great, and you still. I think you are an awesome driver and you ever will be. Im sorry for your lost, and we all will be sorry. You dint deserve to die this way
@fupa0123456789 I get a cold rush everytime I see something dealing with him. And I still wait to see the black 3 car. I almost flipped a while back when I saw the blue and yellow Wrangler 3 car that Jr. was driving, even though I knew that he was going to be driving it.
@dalek14159 I enjoy trolls like you. Niggers like you are so poor living on your government you have to come on the public library computer to make fun of dead people. This is why whites are superior.
@RyanTheIncredible882 Uh, I'm sorry, but what? How does seizing an opportunity to inject some admittedly feeble Dr. Who humour indicate to you that (a) I'm a 'nigger' and (b) I'm at the public library? Wrong on both counts. However, this is a good educational opportunity. Assignment: think about folks' wrong conclusions about their good buddy Jesus.
ive been an earnhartd fan since... well forever haha my grandmas ex got me into earnhartd i dont watch nascar anymore cuz my hero no longer exists... but he is a legend non the less and will never be forgotten
@IFlick you have been blocked from viewing my videos, to avoid you instigating any more fights on a video thats a tribute to a dead man with more fans after being deceased for 11 years than you have real life acquaintances..
well thats not a stretch, considering how many comments youve posted instigating fights on this video you probably spend a grand total of 5 minutes outside your house per year
looking at it you can imagine people had alot of hope he would be fine as you can appreciate those cars are very strong and the initial impact wasnt a hard one, real shame to lose such a great
No matter how red your neck is, it can not spare you from a hyper extension scull fracture. It doesn't matter how well you can make a left turn. It won't help if all you're doing is going in circles at a high rate of speed. This is tough way to go even for a good ol boy. The scull is detached from the first vertebra and hangs from the torso like a limp phallus. Most die intantly but may linger for minutes or hours. Earnhart didn't die until they pulled him from the car.
there never will be another dale earnhardt sr thats for sure. but the thing i can and will do is always carry in my heart and mine the memorys. for when im out there on that dirt track and im driving my balck race car with #3 on it i know that dales right there beside saying come on del you can do it im right here with you lets win this race. theres alot that has to go with this as well for my father was a sr and im a jr being that we both ar dels and sr and jr. it as even more meaning to me
@dgrosklags Ultimate sacrifice? thats bullshit. he did nothing more than set a bad example for everyone by not wearing his safety gear. tryin to be a fuckin cowboy.
the truth is that dale had a severe drinking problem. the paramedics tested his blood and he was extremely intoxicated that day. more like fail earnhardt. lol classic
ohhh im so sad 10 YEARS LATER!!!!!! IM SO SICK AND TIRED OF ALL YOU LITTLE FAGS WHO WERE NOT EVEN BOREN WHEN HE DIED! NOBODY HAS THE BALLS TO SAY IT BUT I DO! GET OVER IT
stupid 6 dumb people dont like this well he made the ultamite sacrifice and for that i will always love and respect Dale #3 the best nascar driver in history!!!
@dgrosklags Fail, members of the armed forces make the"ultimate sacrifice" for their country. This redneck knucklehead simply got killed in this preposterous bumper car series they call Nascar. A sort of hillbilly motor wrestling designed for poorly educated backwoods White crackers from rural parts of the country. Never confuse "sacrifice" with the death of a redneck knucklehead.
i was six when this crash happend i cheered and then when i found out i cried i got into racing i ran the # 3 jr outlaw car i was sponsored by monster a few years back and now im not in racing anymore because of a bad crash im fine but it got me thinking now i race sims xbox live and iracing i am still the # 3 monster car this man effected my life in a big way
Problems with easy fixes, the interminable cautions. The reason cautions are so long? There are too many cars in the field. Reduce the size of the field. Allow teams to adapt their own technological contributions. Teams aren't built with the cost of racing in mind, they're built with the cost of meeting the rules. This will shake out smaller teams and send cost through the roof. This will reduce the size of the field.
Some have this upside down. This is possibly one of the most exciting spectacles in sports. Also one of the best values for your entertainment dollar. The problem? It's become a dreadful bore on television. There are a number of remedies that would fly in the face of tradition. Stop opening the season with Daytona, end it with Daytona. Cut the number of venues by half. Reduce the size of the field, have East Coast and West Coast divisions and race them off to the end of the season.
Perhaps some of you should try to put this in perspective. This was a thoroughly forgotten race car driver from a forgettable racing series who died more than a decade ago. His family and friends have moved on with their lives, I think the guy's second wife has even remarried. You should move on with your lives, Dale would want it that way. Don't write off the remainder of your life or commit ritual suicide over this. It happened a long time ago.
At the grave site of Dale Earnhardt, the Shrine Of Perpetual Love and Eternal Victory, there have been reports of miraculous healing. Children are placed within the giant steering wheel over Dale's grave and have been cured of any number of maladies. Tiny crutches and braces hang on the walls of the Earnhardt Christal Cathedral that contains the sarcophagus of the beloved driver, like the miracle at Lords in France. It's yet another sign that Dale now has Jesus in his pit crew.
@IFlick The only great thing about watching these car races is when they crash & flip a few times--after 9/11 nobody cared who dale earnhardt was--too bad 9/11 was an inside job
It's difficult for a six year old to pull themselves from the stupor of grief when their personal inspiration is tragically killed. Even the events of 911 six months later was unable shake them of their shock of the loss of Dale. As you can see from reading here, many remain permanently scarred. So torn by grief, for many in the rural South, Dale's death eclipsed the events of 911 and many remain largely unaware of those events.
They don't need another Dale Earnhardt. The fact this knucklehead waisted himself driving in circles is of little importance. What they need, what NASCAR desperately needs is another Dale Earnhardt to whack himself at their season premier bash, the Daytona 500. Preferably on the last turn of the last lap. The ambulance driving away in hushed silence, Ricky Bobby's life hanging in the balance, the biggest boost this type of show could get. "Ricky Bobby the best driver who ever lived!"
Of course in real motor racing the driver must make both left and right turns both slow and fast. You should bare in mind that outside the South Eastern United States this type of entertainment isn't thought of as motor racing at all. Many on first seeing this are under the impression that it's some type of relay driving in which the objective is time over track position. I can assure you, they have no idea who this corny old fucker was.
If it were not for the very tall fence between Good Ol' Boy Dale and the fans, he would have died in a hale of beer cans long before this. I can assure you, there were many divers and many fans that only wished that Mr. Earnhardt could have checked out ten years earlier. It's simply in bad form to openly say something like "I'm delighted that sorry Fuck got killed" although you can bet there was more than a few chuckles and a few private celebrations at his passing.

Dale Earnhardt could have been a leader in the field and worn the HANS device, but he chose not to. He contributed to his own death through stubborness. As for the thousands of drivers who were saved by the HANS device? I was only 7 on that sad day in 2001...but I was affected by it so much. I refused to take of my Dale Sr. T shirt for days and i put my toy cars on the shelf. They are still there today. Dale Earnhardt Sr. is my hero, and my motivation to succeed in everything I do.

fupa0123456789 8 months ago
@fupa0123456789 I get a cold rush everytime I see something dealing with him. And I still wait to see the black 3 car. I almost flipped a while back when I saw the blue and yellow Wrangler 3 car that Jr. was driving, even though I knew that he was going to be driving it.

@dalek14159 I enjoy trolls like you. Niggers like you are so poor living on your government you have to come on the public library computer to make fun of dead people. This is why whites are superior.
RyanTheIncredible882 8 months ago
@RyanTheIncredible882 Uh, I'm sorry, but what? How does seizing an opportunity to inject some admittedly feeble Dr. Who humour indicate to you that (a) I'm a 'nigger' and (b) I'm at the public library? Wrong on both counts. However, this is a good educational opportunity. Assignment: think about folks' wrong conclusions about their good buddy Jesus.

"The winner ain't the one with the fastest car, it the one that refuses to get his head ripped off at the end of the race" - Dale Earnhart.
IFlick 9 months ago
No matter how red your neck is, it can not spare you from a hyper extension scull fracture. It doesn't matter how well you can make a left turn. It won't help if all you're doing is going in circles at a high rate of speed. This is tough way to go even for a good ol boy. The scull is detached from the first vertebra and hangs from the torso like a limp phallus. Most die intantly but may linger for minutes or hours. Earnhart didn't die until they pulled him from the car.
IFlick 9 months ago
i think that's why they say the lucky number is 3
tonydickhoff 9 months ago
@tonydickhoff I don't know if that's lucky or not. His head became detached from his spinal column, the hyperextention scull fracture, not so lucky.

dgrosklags 9 months ago
@dgrosklags Fail, members of the armed forces make the"ultimate sacrifice" for their country. This redneck knucklehead simply got killed in this preposterous bumper car series they call Nascar. A sort of hillbilly motor wrestling designed for poorly educated backwoods White crackers from rural parts of the country. Never confuse "sacrifice" with the death of a redneck knucklehead.

IFlick 10 months ago

IFlick 10 months ago
At the grave site of Dale Earnhardt, the Shrine Of Perpetual Love and Eternal Victory, there have been reports of miraculous healing. Children are placed within the giant steering wheel over Dale's grave and have been cured of any number of maladies. Tiny crutches and braces hang on the walls of the Earnhardt Christal Cathedral that contains the sarcophagus of the beloved driver, like the miracle at Lords in France. It's yet another sign that Dale now has Jesus in his pit crew.
IFlick 10 months ago
@IFlick The only great thing about watching these car races is when they crash & flip a few times--after 9/11 nobody cared who dale earnhardt was--too bad 9/11 was an inside job
bambambullies1 10 months ago
It's difficult for a six year old to pull themselves from the stupor of grief when their personal inspiration is tragically killed. Even the events of 911 six months later was unable shake them of their shock of the loss of Dale. As you can see from reading here, many remain permanently scarred. So torn by grief, for many in the rural South, Dale's death eclipsed the events of 911 and many remain largely unaware of those events.
IFlick 10 months ago
They don't need another Dale Earnhardt. The fact this knucklehead waisted himself driving in circles is of little importance. What they need, what NASCAR desperately needs is another Dale Earnhardt to whack himself at their season premier bash, the Daytona 500. Preferably on the last turn of the last lap. The ambulance driving away in hushed silence, Ricky Bobby's life hanging in the balance, the biggest boost this type of show could get. "Ricky Bobby the best driver who ever lived!"
IFlick 10 months ago
Of course in real motor racing the driver must make both left and right turns both slow and fast. You should bare in mind that outside the South Eastern United States this type of entertainment isn't thought of as motor racing at all. Many on first seeing this are under the impression that it's some type of relay driving in which the objective is time over track position. I can assure you, they have no idea who this corny old fucker was.
IFlick 10 months ago
If it were not for the very tall fence between Good Ol' Boy Dale and the fans, he would have died in a hale of beer cans long before this. I can assure you, there were many divers and many fans that only wished that Mr. Earnhardt could have checked out ten years earlier. It's simply in bad form to openly say something like "I'm delighted that sorry Fuck got killed" although you can bet there was more than a few chuckles and a few private celebrations at his passing.
