Dexter and Rita - Perfectly Flawed

People are free to like Rita if they wish but I personally will always miss Lila and the way she and Dexter's broken halves made a whole. The scene when Dexter ends her life was one of THE most emotional moments ever on the show. Which is so rare given the protagonist. Waah, now I'm melancholy.

Rita actually served a purpose in Dexter's Life other than Lila and Lumen, which were just a perfect waste of a script. She was his anchor and rock, she kept him grounded. Also he needed her as much as she needed him. I think they were soul mates, made for each other.

i love the scene when dexter is dancing around the kitchen with astor. he is such a gentle, kind, and loving man but then he can turn around and kill. such a phenomenal contrast between his two totally different personalities.

I couldn't agree more. Lila diindd nothing but piss me off. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. That was the worst accent I have ever heard. A weird mix of British and French, and she would drag her vowels. Everytime she opened her mouth I wished I could jump into the screen and punch her in the teeth. I was SO happy when Dexter killed the dumb bitch. I loathed her for trying to kill Astor and Cody.
