I just watched this again 2 years on, and it still pisses me off how inaccurate a tutorial it is.
FYI (anyone trying to do what she is failing to do) - You place 1st three fingers down as you would normally. Now remember where your 3rd finger is and quickly place your 1st finger there instead. Your hand should now be closer to you. This is called 3rd position. To get to 5th position repeat the process.
actually a violinist here and it goes 3rd finger becomes 1st to get to 3rd position...it didnt look like u knew where to place ur first finger there. You wanna know how to play violin gimme a call
it's all different, and in fairness, she qualifies the statement by saying this is the galamian approach, as opposed to the russian, franco-belgian, german, et al. but as far as being an "expert violinist"....that's far from correct
