  • hey guys if somebody find a similar cage please to write a link...thanks

  • How do you teach it to talk??

  • It sounds like he´s saying you´re queet.

  • aww my lovebird, beans, was talking to peaches.

  • my lovebird would make puckering and kiss sounds back at me :D

  • i really did not know that lovebird could talk

  • @EmzybadgalXX well did you know RAVENS could talk...blows my mind! they sound so human too!

  • what is boxing day?

  • @moonpookie the day after christmas day, its when you box up stuff to give to yoru servants or the poor.....presents or food maybe

  • sosad that it passed away ;(

  • why did he try to bite you?! lol! do u play with it a lot, or is it just the bird?

  • I have the same exact lovebird n my mom always tell him "pretty bird" lol i hope he ends up sayin it back 1 day...by the way thats a biggg cage lol

  • Awesome. She looks just like my "Buddy". Buddy doesn't bite at all (much) and he loves to be handled. When he's inside the cage, he loves nothing more than to cling to the side and have his belly rubbed. The only problem is, he can't stand being away from me and squawks alot. He's the best family I've ever had.

  • your bird taught mine to say pretty bird :) in my vids thanks !

  • wow.. it can speak! :o

  • My lovebird doesn't even come near me..I let him free and stuff but yeah

  • how did you teach it

  • how did you teach it to talk

  • Aww this looks like my Rachelle. Rachelle died because the house sitter turned the heater off when we told her not to AND didnt cover her cage. Stupid lady. Cuz of her ill never be able to own a peach faced even though theyre my absolute favorite.

  • give (him/her) a treat when he talks!:)

  • my love bird bites people but not me hahah

  • love birds can be taught to say a couple of words. it depends on the time spent with him. love birds are usually to be sold in pairs. they mate for life and become very, very lonely if left alone too much. If the birds owner spends a lot of time with him/her the bird will bond with that person and can be taught some words. the cage should be very big with their door left open most of the day so they can roam the house. the cage is mostly for feeding and sleeping.....great video by the way

  • i think instead of "a tweet", she might of been saying "a treat". it sounded like she was asking for one. "a treat?" sooo cute. i have a book all about love birds, but mine isn't in it. she has a blue body, some of her tail is purple, a grey-white head, and grey flight feathers (i don't know if flight featherss are important. after all, im only 11)

  • allah akbar

  • This is my favorite video ever! I think she is saying "a treat". I have a 4 month old lovebird and I play this video for him hoping he will learn from her.

Thanks a lot for this fantastic video.

  • this is lovely

  • wow awesome!! i hope my bird can talk like that hahah

  • i have a lovebird but is verry afraid to my

  • Why does my mom have to be allergic to their feathers? I'd love one!

  • OHHH MY GOD ITS SOO CUTEE! MY HEAD IS GONNA BLOW OFF!!!

  • Aweee soooo sweet!! My lovebird will be turning 18 this summer. I've had her since she was 3 months old. Named her Leo (didn't know the sex when I got her) and she laid eggs all by herself a year later!! LOL ~ she says her name. They are by far the best birdies ever ;)) I'm sorry for your loss...

  • u know what i did, i recorded this video to my phone and play next to my love bird, omg he love it and now hes saying pretty bird lol=) Love ur video!

  • very cute i wish my bird did that

  • I have a lovebird just like this one.

    Her name is Jinpachi. XD

  • "You're cute!"

    "A Tweet!?"

    "You're cute."

    "A Tweet!?"

    "You're cute, not "a tweet.""

    "A Tweet!?"

    So cute hahahaha

  • mysterycheez, is Peaches a rosy-faced lovebird? cos i have one as well and i just got this feeling she'll talk just like Peaches if both of them are the same type of lovebird

  • wut! every time i play this vid, my lovebird screams out as loud as he can! :o

  • That bird is awesome!!

  • Nice video. you can just make out what he is saying. Sorry about his passing...

  • If you want a Lovebird to remain friendly its best not to have more than 1 or they will bond to the other bird instead of there human. I have a hand raised Female that looks exactly like yours and also talks which is not the norm but some do learn to talk and even whistle, mine even makes the kissing sound. I think this little bird is saying "a treat" instead of "a tweet" could that be the case? Did you give treats when you would go to the cage? They are very smart about word associations.

  • @caroleyahoo1965 this is true for humans who put their own ego before the needs of their pet birds. If one truly cared about the well being of their birds, one would never keep only one. Reverse the situation and think of yourself in a cage surrounded only by foreign species.

  • Well if you wish to keep them as pets then more than 1 is not a good idea. If you know anything about birds of any size you know they do NOT stay in a cage if you are a responsible owner, you interact with them and they are a part of your family. Mine are in the livingroom with us and only go in the cage to sleep or if we are away from home. I have all different size birds so they see other birds just none they will get attached to or "bond" with.

  • @caroleyahoo1965 Pet birds was the point of my comment, what else are we talking about here? So again, if YOU know anything about birds, their psychological, emotional and physical needs you'll know that keeping them single is nothing short of psychological torture. The fact that they are pet birds does not, has not and will not erase the fact that their natural instincts remain. I am only stating facts here concluded by many after years spent on research.

  • @caroleyahoo1965 your last sentence really only confirms you give priority to pleasing your own ego rather than the complete and absolute - as much as possible for pet birds - well being of the birds. Unless you haveany other reasons why you are so against your birds bonding with another bird and surely becoming much happier than you could ever make it. I am not being argumentative just speaking the cold truth

  • @caroleyahoo1965 I have pet birds 2 that are bonded 2 each other, but they are also easy 4 me to handle when needed as they are hand trained and the male even talks, not a lot as I didn't teach him, he picked them up on his own while already having been bonded with another bird. They play with me too and are in free flight all day and retire to their cage when they want to, and at night (whether they want to or not LOL). My point is pet birds don't have to be kept single 2 be a part of family.

  • i am getting a lovebird, can u think of ideas so i can train it .

  • my peach faced lovebird's name is peaches too

  • only my femail lovebird is agressive and my male birds realy cute and cuddely

  • there arnt taking

  • that was a pretty cool love bird :) sorry she died on ya ; ;

  • Yes it is really cute :) It's funny how she tries to repeat your words :D Peaches' laugh made me giggle ;) I'm really sorry that she passed away :( I bet that she feels better in another world or is happy as a different bird :)

  • Your bits u that sucks

  • my love bird knows how to get out of its cage and i dident even teach him and im so very sorry that your lovebird died

  • i have the same one but with a orange beak

  • Our lovebird is never quite.. always when he sees me he's like "get me out of this cage and play with me"

And when I get him out of his cage, he flies around like he's never been before.

My lovebird is 1 and a half year old, I've had another one like 10 years ago he also could talk but died :'(

And I feel so sorry for you.

My bird is out of his cage and watching me typing this =D

  • how old was your lovebird when he passed away?

  • omg such a gorgeous lil talented bird. i'm so sorry you had to lose her. ;(

  • did she go to bird heaven? my little black masked lovebird shelden went there:'(

  • dudes mine looks jus like diz one. wat breed is this called

  • What a shame ..such a lovely bird ..:-)

  • How do you know if your lovebird is a male or a female?

  • Does your bird bite? because mine is not trained and it bites, but he loves our company and is REALLY talkative and playful (:

  • so cute!

  • Sweet bird, I really like her, I am sorry she passed away..

  • Oh...at first, I heard she said "between" but it must be "a tweet" xD

    "lovebird" what a lovely name.

I wish i could learn English from the "lovebird" you loved.

  • My lovebird Wolfgang went crazy hearing this.

  • OMG sooooo cute you CUTE!

  • you're bird is soooo cute!!! I have a bird like yours, her name is Lola...:)

  • i had a peachfaced lovebird that i bought alone, and her name was Peaches, the best bird ive ever owned, she loved me, but then she died from gang green in her foot :(

i now have two love birds, a fishers love bird and another peach faced, but since i bought them together, they hate me! lol...dang!

  • i might have peaches 2

XD btw how did u get her to talk!

  • omg my bird looks exacly like her!!! AND her names peaches! did ur bird have babies......

  • He's asking for a treat!!! Give him one!!!

  • aww

  • Hi are lovebirds easy to take care of? Thanks

  • This bird is soo adorable, I love when she says "you tweet" and then finally "you're cute"! mine can now do the "catcall" like a guy might do to whistle at a girl, its funny, I'm working on more...uh...politically correct talking now! Thanks for the video, betcha miss her.

  • i love this vidoe cuteeeee

  • I really loved this bird... this video is making me miss her a lot :(

  • @mysterycheez i know how do you feel...mine died to...:(...R:I:P:

  • @mysterycheez I had a yellow lovebird with a red face. I could do everything with that bird. Took her with me outside, she always stayed on my shoulder. She had a cage but it was always open, she flew around the entire house all the time. She would sit on the rim of my glass and drink cola and water etc, and she would groom my eyebrows and eyelashes and stuff. Had her from when I was 9 till I was 24. Best pet ever. Still tears me up everytime I think of her. Damn I miss that bird..

  • @Ashikun I had a lovebird 18 years that was amazing too! had the regular peachface variety...yours was a lutino peachface, which is just a genetic variation...like red hair. Polly died in OCT of 2010 and i'm still not really over his death....i miss him all the time!

not a good idea to tempt taking your bird ouside unrestrained though....any number of things could happen. also-its ok to share drinks, but not cola-caffiene is a drug! their little hearts already beat a mile a minute!

  • theres a place in perth called bird world and they said lovebirds cant talk i guess i wont believe them again

  • I'm not so sure that they commonly do talk... that's why when people ask me how they can get their bird to talk, I think they shouldn't necessarily expect it to happen. I didn't try to teach my bird. I just talked to her a lot and eventually, just because she wanted to, she started imitating me. Boy was I surprised!

  • @mysterycheez How have you had he/she, I'm thinking of buying two of them I seen at my local pet store, I saw that she tried to bite you, how is he/she now with trying to bite when put your hand or finger in or around the cage? lol

  • @Mr291229 I had my bird for about 7 years but then she died. I haven't had a bird in a long time. The sad thing is that she was a bitey bird and hard to handle. She wasn't for the first year: she used to be very cuddly, but when she reached sexual maturity things changed. if you are interested in bird training and preventing or correcting aggressive behaviour in bird, look for proviewsg on Youtube and check out his channel. If I ever have a bird again, I will look to him for advice.

  • @ULTRAASLAN246 acctually if you are lucky they speak. Theyr voices arent the best but its not common for them to speak they sometimes do though.

  • @ULTRAASLAN246 Lovebirds don't actually talk like larger birds do but they learn to imitate what they hear. Also if your bird becomes 'bitey' all you have to do is repeat NO or whatever word you wish and also when the bird bites grab the beak and hold ir for a second. This will teach the bird that this is not acceptable.

**IF you want a bird that is loving and your friend, only buy 1!!!!!!! If you buy 2, they will be friends with each other and not want anything to do with you!

  • Much more fun and a lot easier to learn how what a lovebird is saying rather than teaching them how to mimic you. They have a wide birdy vocabulary.

  • My lovebird's no longer try talking to Peaches :(

I've never had much success with lovebirds and talking. I try to learn their language instead, much more fun.. they have a wide birdy vocabulary for all sorts of things.

  • This bird is so adorable!! I love it!!! So cute for sure!! 5*****!! Awesome!! Yes! You are Cute!!!! LOL!

  • wow! didn't know they could talk, and i have 3 !! :D

  • cute...

  • Cute BIrd Can I Ask A Question How Du u Teach A BIrd To Talk

  • I didn't really try to teach my bird to talk. I just talked to her a lot and after about a year she started mimicking me. It takes a lot of patience, love, and repetition and you can't let yourself be too disappointed if your bird never talks. Just love him anyway :)

  • do females speack too??

if i have 2 birds do they still talk?

  • The bird in this video is a female :) I don't know if two of them will talk if they live together or not. I think they're more likely to speak if they are alone because they see you as their flock :) But lovebirds aren't really famous for their speaking abilities, anyway. They can learn but there are other birds that are more talented that way.

  • tanks for your help!

  • Your bird is so cute! I've always wanted a lovebird :3

  • @zxiryes i just got one yesterday. it's adorable!

  • lovebirds are better off alone for pets. if you have two of them, they wont like to be handled. if you have only one, they like your company.

  • @crawfordcowgirl true but who can satisfy a lovebird's needs better, a human or another bird?

  • @crawfordcowgirl Mine is alone and still likes to sink its beak in my finger everytime I try to handle it -_-..

  • @crawfordcowgirl ah, we always bought 2 at a time because we thought they needed a mate.. but its weird, had a lovebird for 7-8 years and it doesn't let me really pet him, but these newer ones we had for like a year or 2 let us :S

  • @crawfordcowgirl Eh in my experience that's not necessarily true. I have four lovebirds, they all talk, and they all love to be handled and have their heads scratched.

  • @finefeatheredfriend7 oh man, scratching a lovebirds head sends them to could nine!

  • Comment removed

  • @crawfordcowgirl I have two and they hate each other...have to keep them in separate cages or they fight like crazy.

Basically they're jealous of one another, when I pet one the other gets really angry

  • @HariVIyer all birds should have their own cage!

  • You shouldn't post asinine and unintelligent things on people's videos. Are YOU stupid?

  • @mysterycheez lol ouch

  • my bird says chu chu i have no idea

  • Hey hw do u train ur bird to talk? my dad alwaes talks to mine and she alwaes opens and closes her mouth but doesn't mke any sound. Wat does tt mean? My aunt saes tt it means she's listenin 2 wat we're tellin her and trying 2 communicate.

  • My finches died on year.. I told my parents we should put them outside when the 'self clean oven' was on.. but no, they said it wouldn't hurt them. Well it did.

  • Comment removed

  • Why do you have it than?! Give it to me if you don't like it. Owning a bird isn't just about it doing tricks. Also, love birds aren't generally birds that talk and do tricks like other parrots so it's not the bird's fault. Don't own a bird if that's how you are.

  • wooooow!

    :)

  • My peach face was just sitting in her food bowl cheeping, and my black masked was repeating the per tweep noise.

  • how can i make my two love birds talk

  • buy them a dictionary

  • gah

  • SHUT UP

Ich weiss nicht, wie man das auf Deutsch sagt, aber STOP BEING SO PREACHY.

    :]

  • How sweet! I have a female. Think she is about 18, heard they can live til 30. Hope so. She is my sunshine. She's a rescue. Had her for 10 yrs. She runs around saying uh-oh when time 4 a bath, & says not-yet when time to feed her. Greets me at the door when I come home, she flys directly to my shoulder. If I leave her in her cage when I leave and don't immediately give her attn when I get home, then she throws herself to the bottom of her cage and screams and

  • (cont'd) flops around like a dying fish out of water. It's the funniest thing. She's still not fond of my hands though. I think she thinks they are some kind of creature that always hang out on my arms. Its funny, when I got her, she didn't even know she could fly. Must have never been let out of her cage. Big personality for such a tiny creature.

  • I'm so happy for you and your bird! Sounds like you have a real sweet one and that she loves you as much as you love her :) I wish you many more years together :)

  • I'm sorry to hear of your bird passing, I bet u miss him/her alot, I can't imagine the feeling of losing a bird, when I was a child we had an amazon parrot and my open the window and let him out and we never saw him again. May I ask how did your die, if u don't mind me asking.

  • It was a tragic accident. I had always heard that you have to be very careful with fumes and chemicals around birds and so I always was very careful. If there was going to be anything in the air that could hurt her, I put her in another room and closed the door so she would be away from it. One year for Christmas we got a raclette machine (a kind of cooking device) and tried it out. It let off all this smokey stuff the first use. After all this time of being so careful...

  • none of us even thought to put the bird away from the fumes and open the window. Later that evening we noticed she was acting kind of strangely but didn't think much of it. Just thought she was being silly as usual. The next morning, I went to say hello to her and feed her and she was dead. We were also babysitting a bird for a friend at the time. Fortunately that one was okay. Warning to all bird-owners: be very careful with teflon and other fumes in your house!

  • can you help me with mine i have 1 want him to talk hes sad his friend died i want him to speak he now has trust in me

  • she's cute when she says itwit

  • Hmm, I don't think its true that males are more tame. i have a male peachface lovebird and he's very naughty! He loves to run and climb all over the place and bites stranger's fingers. We tried to pair him up with a female and he kept biting her! Of course we seperated them after that.

  • are her wings clipped? how much time did it take u to make her tame

  • my lovebirds dont like to talk :(

  • Do these birds poop a lot.

  • LMFAO adorable video =] XD at 1:36 - 1:39 makes me kinda think to myself like "well, my female cockatiel may not be able to speak, but least she's gentle to my fingers" lol, she even let's me pet her back...i should make a vid of my birds outside the cage soon, good stuff though 5/5

  • Yes she became kinda grouchy when she hit puberty. We had hoped she was a male because we were told males are generally more gentle but after about a year, she started to lay eggs and that settled that :) When she was young, she used to love to cuddle. I felt sad when that stopped. I cared for a friend's cockatiel for a while, too. She was also very sweet and gentle.

  • lol well, that depends...i used to think males were gentle but it really just depends on the bird =]

i have a tamed female cockatiel, when she bites it's very soft...she just does it in a way to let u know she kinda moody it's cute lol

then i have a mean male cockatiel, who somehow is intimidated somuch by my male lovebird lol

n' two female parakeets who bite to draw blood lol, i got them so i can prolly cross breed my lovebird with them, what u think???

    n' damn, that sucks =[...

  • AH how cute how long have you had your bird? We got our birds last year in November

  • Your bird passed away! thats so sad, probaly cuz didnt have friends

My birds have each other (i have 3)

(but 2 are my sister and brother and mine and my brothers fight alot!)

  • Well, my bird passed away because of another reason (not because she didn't have friends). There was a tragic accident. I think she would still be alive, healthy, and happy today, otherwise.

  • I have one lovebird and he does just fine by himself. I give him a lot of attention though, about 2+ hours of attention. This includes direct attention and indirect attention since he has his cage in my study where I mostly hang out.

I also have a friend who has a lovebird, so we have playdates once a week or so.

I heard that you should have an even number of lovebirds if keeping them together, otherwise they can isolate the other lovebird.

  • how adorable and what a smart lil lovie! How old was she when she started to speak? I have a 6 month old and I don't think he's ready.

  • She was about a year old when she first started trying to say "you're cute". It really took me by surprise :) I didn't expect her to learn to talk but I have to say I was very pleased! I wish you the best of luck. I hope your bird will learn, too :)

  • hehe cute little guy

  • i have 2 luvbirds and my peach faced luvbird does nothing but CHIRP!!! and i dont know how 2 get him 2 shut up!!! lol

  • I love your video. I have two lovebirds. Named Bonita & Bonito what did you named your birds.

  • My lovebird was Peaches (original, I know, lol :) ) and my cockatiel was given to me by a friend who was moving away. She came with the name, Coco :)

  • cute. My lovebirds started chirping when I open your video it was funny

  • Spanish names my lovebirds name is Alejandro

  • AH how cute how long have you had your bird? We got our birds last year in November

  • wow my peach faced lovebirds name is peaches as well... wow... very common name for these guys

  • how did you teach it to talk???????????????

  • I went through a period when I had some health problems and had to be at home a lot. The bird was my companion :) For about a year, I just talked to her all the time, said the same things to her. I didn't expect her to learn how to talk, one day she did :) I know Lovebirds can learn but they aren't really known talkers. I was lucky.

  • رائع جدا

    أحببته :)

  • I have a lovebird and every time u play this video he goes CRAZY~!~ really:)

  • I am sorry for your loss. Peaces was a wonderful bird.

    X

  • I'm getting a lovebird and his name is peaches too... I'm so sorry for your loss. :(

  • her laugh.. love

  • i really want a bird what the better choice lovebird or budgie

  • to me i think Lovebirds are good..... But i dont know and QUIETER birds :D

  • lol My little gabby is more of a cuddler he won't stand for any training at all only kisses.

  • I'm jealous of your cuddler! Peaches used to like to cuddle until she hit puberty... then she became somewhat nasty :( I had a cockatiel that was a really nice cuddler, though!

  • truly smart!

  • haha how cute

  • i love her.

  • wow thats great i just got 2 lovebirds their names are baby and peeps i wish i could teach them to talk like that and i like that a tweat lol how did u teach your bird to talk like that ?

  • Oooowwhhh, so cute (: ätweet!

  • i bread masked and peach faced lovebirds, i hand rear some of them aswel, good way to make some spare cash, when your my age :), if interested i stay in scotland and have masked lovebirds on eggs, i intend to hand rear this ones, leave me a comment on my youtube thanks.

  • my peachface is trained for lots of things but never took up talking, suppose we can't have it all LOL

  • I don't think they are famous for being real talkers. I was VERY surprised when mine started to mimic me. But I think it was just because I was home with her a lot and had certain things I'd always call her to her to try to make her feel good, even if I couldn't be with her at the time.

  • I hope when you have time to have another birdie you get another peachy, after all their *lovebirds* and when you get one that adores you there is nothing nicer.
