@pretendirz That is very twisted. We use the same King James Bible that was used in the time of King James. The translations were made into footnotes as definitions and cross refrencing... We teach against polygamy because it is a form of adultery but used early on to raise a righteous generation (Ex: Abraham had many wives). Women CAN go to heaven without marying, and we beleive that ALL mankind is able to get to heaven, not just mormons... (aprox. 99.9% we beleive will go to heaven)...

@djphlange We read the Bible and The Book of Mormon as well as others scriptures. The Bible takes place in the Mediteranian and the Book of Mormon in the Americas anciently.
What was happening here is that the person asking the question was trying to trap Mitt into saying that the Bible has some translation problems. Which we LDS do believe. The Book of Mormon is another witness of Christ we believe.
If he said "as far as it is translated correctly " his campain would have been over.

There are different degrees of sinful positions.
Yes, it is bad to be a hypocrite, to pretend you obey the Bible when you don't. But presumptuous sin is far worse ("they declare their sin as Sodom"). To say "I know what the Bible says, & I don't give a flip!" That is even worse. Regardless of how good one is at obeying the Word, it is always correct to affirm its validity.

@pretendirz That is very twisted. We use the same King James Bible that was used in the time of King James. The translations were made into footnotes as definitions and cross refrencing... We teach against polygamy because it is a form of adultery but used early on to raise a righteous generation (Ex: Abraham had many wives). Women CAN go to heaven without marying, and we beleive that ALL mankind is able to get to heaven, not just mormons... (aprox. 99.9% we beleive will go to heaven)...
