I believe this engine is very well built. Been running compounds at 46 lbs of boost for 10k miles not a single problem. Transmission is solid as well. The only flaw I can see so far is the the turbo charger. Even though they have a lot of cool technology going on inside they are intentionally designed to be too small for Egr functionality. They are easily over spun.

As a shop owner i get this question all the time, lucky for us we have a great dealer that we work with for the most part they understand that we are running cooler egt's and no longer have soot running into the motor. probably the best advice i have is to talk to them. If a major failure were to occure and they could prove that it was from the mods you might have a hard time getting it covered.

(which is all kind of expected with almost a half a million miles.) Don't know what you're talking about.. OMG!! This truck sounds just like every other Powderstroke with straight piped exhaust...like SHIT!!! How can anybody seriously like that sound? Take that Dick out of your mouth and mabey you can pay attention and hear that horrible sound..Sounds ALMOST as bad as a 6.0 choker str8 piped..those sounds like death. they sound make a law that is " All powerstrokes MUST run a Muffler" cause they produce an extemely HORRIBLE sound....

I have the hs mini maxx and flo pro 5 inch exhaust. minis are in stock and ready to ship! I also have an afe intake. the egr cooler is completly removed!
