  • Excellent, tone was consistent. wonderful

  • Que bonito :)

  • ja, Peter Schreier, DER Evangelist schlechthin ;o)

  • Der erste Sänger ist Herr Robert Holl!!

  • ist das der Peter Schreyer?

    Der ist echt sehr gut

  • yes he is

  • There's not much 'eilet' in this performance. I'd rather take a slightly higher and lighter tempo...

Merci !

  • I really like the light quality in this tenor's voice. It is nice to hear a Baroque tenor that doesn't try to break windows with his voice, but isn't a countertenor. His voice quality is a nice imitation of the flute, which I think is what Bach had in mind when he wrote the aria.

  • I agree!

  • @m134e5 I agree also.

  • Méndiga pieza tan hermosa como difícil, yo tengo que cantar pronto la parte del tenor...

  • I was so impressed, I tracked down the DVD and ordered 2, one as a gift. I'm singing this on Xmas Eve.

  • I hope some choir in our area will sing it this Christmas. Usually only a portion it it is performed. People must have had more patience in Bach's day. We tend to be too figity, anxious to get up and move about.

  • the bass is robert holl

    tenor is peter schreier

  • i guess he is Peter Schreier.

  • Names of the soloists?
