Their music was more independant and interesting back then, but that doesn't mean it's not good anymore. Incubus is great, but I wish they did more of the funky stuff, but my fav album is Morning View:)

I don't understand how people expect bands to continue to make the same music record after record. They are 15 years older and wiser now and do not see the world through the same eyes as they did when they made this. He said they are not in that same state of mind anymore and if they made another albbum like that it would have been forced and he can't do that as a musician.

I like everything they do from hard New Skin and A Kiss to send us off to the softer 11am and Isadore. I didn't discover this album until I was 17 (2001-2002) and I got it as a reward for good grades. This album and S.C.I.E.N.C.E made my high school years. I can (somewhat) recall smoking MASS amounts of marijuana to these songs and just drifting... but I'm sure you guys did the same thing,so look who I'm telling!

@hayholetzgo The only way to really listen to music is to have an open mind and try to be unbiased and unopinionated at the beginning. Also, definitely gotta listen to the instrumentals. Hate it when people don't give bass players enough cred, I am one, Depending on the bass player can determine how a lot of their music sounds. A bad bassist can ruin a good band and a good bassist can keep a bad band from getting too much of a bad reaction lol
I'm not a bassist and have no experience in guitars but I think I know what your mean. I like to just plug my earphones in and try to point out every instrument in the band. And when I point out the bass, I realize how much it really counts.

I didn't discover this album until I was 17 (2001-2002) and I got it as a reward for good grades. This album and S.C.I.E.N.C.E made my high school years. I can (somewhat) recall smoking MASS amounts of marijuana to these songs and just drifting... but I'm sure you guys did the same thing,so look who I'm telling!

@hayholetzgo Their new shit is for 13-25 year old girls. Can you really deny the fact that people who listen to this type of music would hate their new music? They sold-out so bad. Generally, people who listen to Nu-metal, hate pop music. Why is it hard to understand that people like the sound of a band, then they change, and they want the old sound back? Sell outs!

@hayholetzgo The only way to really listen to music is to have an open mind and try to be unbiased and unopinionated at the beginning. Also, definitely gotta listen to the instrumentals. Hate it when people don't give bass players enough cred, I am one, Depending on the bass player can determine how a lot of their music sounds. A bad bassist can ruin a good band and a good bassist can keep a bad band from getting too much of a bad reaction lol

I'm not a bassist and have no experience in guitars but I think I know what your mean. I like to just plug my earphones in and try to point out every instrument in the band. And when I point out the bass, I realize how much it really counts.
