This is a game of skill/chance. Every block but the last one is entirely based on skill. The last block is chance. I believe games such as these should be labeled accordingly as a game that has chance involved rather than purely skill. I'd really love to own one of these machines though, in the right area it could make you a fortune in no time.

That said, there are some noobs who get excited too soon. They get to the final line, their friends scart yelling, they turn around with a cheesy grin, visualising themselves walking away with a PS3... Only to press stop at the wrong time and completely fuck it up. I have no sympathy for these fools, the game is about rhythm and flow. With these noobs the machine doesn't even have to apply the 1-800 rule, they are true losers.
Of course, you need the skill to get to the final line, and the timing to hit the correct block on the final line. However, even if your timing and skill are immaculate, the arcade-set ratio of 1-800 steps in. Assuming all variables (e.g., player skill, button latency) are perfect, 799 times in 800 you will lose SOLELY based on the machine's programming. This "false-loss" scenario: The block actually stops on the correct spot, BUT ticks over one or two extra blocks AFTER you press the button.
It even states in the manual something to the effect that the minor prize: 1) can be attained by anyone of any skill level (e.g., not a priveliged level), and 2) is a real heap of shit worth a fraction of a fraction of the entry fee, and 3) 99% of players will bypass the minor prize level. Therefore, what are you really risking to continue on to the major prize? A 3 cent rubber ball?
How much money do you make a week, because I was thinking about buying one for $4,000 and then roll in the dough when I put it in my friends resturaunt with loads of people.
I did it on purpose, a lot of people do, including authors. It's a way of writing that shows a character sighing or talking in a very tired (I'm sick of this shit) tone of voice without actually typing something like "shit" the fucker sighed. So.. Just shut the fuck up.
or you could realzie that the sole purpose of this video is comedy and its losers liek you who scour youtube to make fun of people's typing errors over stupid shit like this...ahah get a life man
What the fuck are you talking about.. If the sole purpose of this video is comedy, you wouldn't have written a 250+ word description on how laigames "ripped you off"..
Plus, I wasn't the one who threw a shit fit about having multiple periods, it was that other fucker, but I do get pissed over spelling errors, because spelling is about the easiest fucking thing to do, and you seem to have an affinity for that stupid ass rhyme teachers tell to students, "i before e except after c".. That doesn't mean that like and time are spelled as liek and tiem, dumbshit.
It's called a typographical error, and not giving a shit about changing them so people like you won't have a stroke over every time they see a grammar mistake, dumbshit.
I hate who you are with every ounce of my soul. This comment is a month old and yet my hate compels me to make it known, even if through the most minuscule act.
That's because you're a dumb piece of crap, the obviousness of this fact compels me to say it to you despite the fact that several dozen people you have probably said this exact same thing to you before.
You say that the odds are 1 in 800 regardless of skill, but that's actually incorrect. Look at the product manual and you will see that the odds are approximate because of skill. Plus those are the operator odds. So many people still don't know about the top row "cheat" also so hundreds will play and lose without realizing that it cheated. For people that have played before the odds are probably significantly lower.
I spent 20 bucks on the thing and I said to myself I wouldn't spend anymore. On my last coin I won. I was so focused that when I won I was so calm. Then I started freaking out when I picked the PSP.
Nice I looked into the odds of winning aswell. 1 in 800 that's insane. I won a PSP last year. I think that is an interesting point you made about how stacker should be classified as a slot machine
You could also buy upgrades to get it to over a thousand

Yeah I found a manual too... It's so lame how they program it every 400 tries somebody wins...
My plan is to buy a machine of my own, practice on free play mode, and go around the nation and say "I'M IN UR ARCADE, WINNIN UR PRIZEZ"
That would be the day... if only the machines weren't $5000 I'd buy one...
