Unfortunately, theres too much propaganda about the evils of MJ and other illegal drugs that the stamp of approval argument is hard to overcome. Alcohol and tobacco have a stamp of approval, although tobacco has a strong a campaign against it now. Wen people learn that prescription drugs are just as harmful if not more so they will understand drugs. M mom has cancer. Question: which is killing her faster? The meds from the doctor or the cancer? The healthcare system is screwed up.

There are many types of marijuana and MOST are not lethal in any way, but, for some reason they throw all forms of hemp in the same category. The lumber and gas industries were the ones back in the early 1900's that forced the govt to criminalize hemp because it competed directly with their profits. Hemp makes clean fuel and great paper and should be legalized for commercial use. But as someone below stated, the CIA cartel is the problem.

Marinol is more dangerous than cannabis in it's natural form. It's actually more psychoactive and also people have actually died from it unlike actual cannabis. Also it is not real thc, it's synthetic, which is why it's favored by the establishment controlled by the pharmaceutical industry. Also cannabis doesn't have to be smoked to be ingested, vaporizers are more effective and not damaging to the lungs. Even more effective is to extract the essential oil from the plant & eat it.

Pills are no good when you are vomiting! If they charge $10 or more for Marinol, it would be a great cost to the patient, for a pill they just threw up. It would be wasted and provide no relief!
