Older (7-12 months) kittens often are ignored in shelters. People gravitate towards the cute little youngest ones or settle on an older cat, but older kittens are the best. You know pretty much who they are, what they like, how they'll behave, what size they'll be. Little kittens often just want to play, but older ones have learned how nice petting and stroking can be. Older kittens have also learned to live with other cats. TAKE TWO, THEY'RE SMALL!
I have 6 cats, aged 7 months to 12 1/2 yrs and each one is different. They have different kinds of favorite toys, the kinds and amounts of affection each one wants, the types of favorite foods, etc. I suggest just watching the animal you are interested in for a while and you can see their personalities for yourself. If you get a kitten it will adjust to your lifestyle, older cats will take slightly longer, so long as they weren't abused. Above all, love and affection are the best way to go!
@erlidia Cats are by far one of the easiest pets to take care of, however you will also discover they cost much much much more than a goldfish per say, vet bills, food ect etc
hmmm....I think i will post my own video on how to chose the right cat/kitten....this one dosn't tell ya much.I am a cat/kitten/dog/puppy sitter so I know a good bit about them lol.....funny thing is i don't have a pet of my own any more.
why dont you just look up on the internet for a cat encyclopaedia?
*i would say read one... but i cant stand books and i dont think many people would bother reading a book anyway XD*
or just tell me your personality and what your looking for in a cat - i can recommend lots of breeds to you and additional information too - i'll be more than happy to help :)
My oldest cat is the one who so misses his daddy when he goes away. Ive got three, the get along great, all have different personalities too! Love this vid, thank you!
