@poonjoo I realize this is a little late for a reply, but the reason is that a particular crash at Fairchild is rather famous. A pilot named Bud Holland was at the controls and was a known hot dog. He performed all kinds of reckless acts; leadership knew, yet did not stop him. Eventually, he pushed the limits of a B-52 too far and crashed in front of wives and children of the crew members while practicing for an airshow. Look up Bud Holland on wikipedia for more info
This is DEFINETELY an ARK-LA-TEX scene. I never realized how unusual it was to have B-52 Bombers flying overhead until i moved away from Shreveport. Now that i am back it is deja vu all over again! ( and i am not talking about the downtown strip joint! hahaha!!!)
hot.

That machine is crazy big! I heard somewhere that it has the biggest wingspan of any military aircraft. Is that true?

Loved living in Colorado Springs. No matter how often I saw them, they still took my breath away.

Good video - those of us who are accustomed to having them pass over us regularly become almost immune, but it is still an awesome sight.
