hey im only 12 but to make it easier to play the guitar i would not have my thumb right there i would but it on the middle of the neck of the guitar not on the top..... that is how i am being teached and it is much easier to play with the thumb in the middle of the neck instead of the top

so when you say its a C you mean a D right because the capo? i just got a guitar yesterday and am confused because everyone uses different terminology

usually when it's capo'd, you say what the fingering would be. so when someone says play a C with any capo, you play the C chord fingering even though its a different note. it would be really confusing to use the actual notes, and I'm not sure anyone really does this.
