Oh that was real smart of the woman....to start making flag visible AFTER the Marines motioned for her to stop, instead of approaching with it already out.
Why isn't he being charged? If he feels he commited a crime, then why not do the time? How can he admit to such BULLSHIT and not have any action taken against him?
I have listened to many stories from a Vietname veteran that I work with. The same "war is hell" theme is always underscored.
Good and logical people will make snap judgements during the chaos of war, and then second-guess themselves and the morality of what they did. That is psychological torture for many soldiers, and that is precisely why it's so crucial that we support them. They truly need our support, and John Kerry seems to have no understanding or respect for that concept.
This guy in the video just admitted to war crimes... My guess is a very large majority of the troops in Iraq have shown much better judgement than this guy did in that situation. "Free fire zones" gee that sounds awfully familiar. John Kerry must've coached this guy...
And is this before or after insurgents use white flags to lure in American soldiers and then kill them? Nothing is any more in favour of the Iraqis than it is for the Americans. You don't walk, with a bag, straight at American soldiers involved in a firefight, and expect them to not over react. Fuck, where are people's logic placed lately?
