Corinthians is such a terrible misused scripture when Christians argue against male-long hair. First, If you are going to use this verse to condemn long haired males, you'd better do the same for short haired females. Second, It is in the Old T. and as most real Christians know, Jesus absolved humanity from all but the mortal laws of the OT. Third, the Bible also says God doesn't care about the outside, but your heart. too bad some Christians are too busy playing bible cop to read it.

I am of the ilk that there is more to this reality than we percieve with our eyes. My own Path to that "otherness" has come to me through the teachings of Jesus Christ of 2000 years ago. They are in tune with the Vedas, with Buddha with Brahmanian teachings of the Hindus, with the discovery of the superstrength field, etc.
They bear virtually no resemblance to the "jesus" taught by religion, as that jesus was created simply to facillitate systematic control of the masses.

My point there is: If you desire to be saved by the law (requiring all to follow the letter, no long hair)... yet you yourself don't follow the law (Law: Do not cover your head), you prove that salvation is by grace for none can follow the whole law.
So then, to judge your brother by the law, and then not follow the law, would not be good Spiritual practice.
I also must say, when I attempted to speak GENTLY with The Winter Gruop on that subject, they simply called me nasty names and condemned me as evil. THAT kind of attitude is why the Name if Jesus is blasphemed among the people.

The perspicuity of scripture makes Gods Word fool proof. That is to say that it clarifies the unclear by way of the clear when dealing with related specifics. It interprets itself.
Hello Hope, I want to let you know that the Winterband preaches a false gospel. What they preach is refered to as Modalism or Sabellianism. That is to say that God puts Himself in different 'modes' of personality rather than being the Father, Son, Holy Spirit that are the co-eternal & co-equal persons in the One spirit of God.

The view that they hold to is not merely heterodoxical. Heterodoxy is when a view is held that is mistaken but not one that would threaten against an actuall saving faith. Heresy is when you hold firm to a view that is clearly against an orthodox teaching. An orthodox teaching is one that is in accordance with the scripture making it irrefutable. The doctrine of the Trinity is orthodox. Winterband denies it. Therefore they preach heresy - falsely, that is.

What they do is base their beliefs on an iesogesis of the text rather than a proper exogesis.
An iesogesis is when one reads into the text what can't be drawn from the overall text.
An exogesis is properly drawing from the text what it offers.
The perspicuity of scripture makes Gods Word fool proof. That is to say that it clarifies the unclear by way of the clear when dealing with related specifics. It interprets itself.

Hello Hope, I want to let you know that the Winterband preaches a false gospel. What they preach is refered to as Modalism or Sabellianism. That is to say that God puts Himself in different 'modes' of personality rather than being the Father, Son, Holy Spirit that are the co-eternal & co-equal persons in the One spirit of God.
I mentioned that to the winterband. Here is what they said to me:

God is All in All, in Him all things were made and nothing that has been made is apart from Him. In Him we live and move and have our being - so, He really is everywhere in, out, macro, micro.
