There is both a joyful yet melancholy mood to this theme. It keeps pace with a lack of emotional beat, however, moves on to a more joyful tone but there is still some sadness in its tone. Possibly a representation of Gamma's own mission given at first and then his decision to make his new mission to save his brothers (The E-Series) but knowing that he, himself, would come to an end when his mission ends.

@TheSoldierSaints Shadow Never died in SA2, in shadow the Hedgehog, when you fight devil doom and survive about 8 minutes in, Dr Eggman tells shadow that when he fell after the fight with the final hazard, shadow survived the fall but he had major damage. one of Eggmans robots repaired him and therefor he never died. The fall gave shadow amnesia thats why he didnt know who he was. (except for the fact that he's shadow and he remembers maria and sonic and everyone else)

@SmashBroGameAndWatch well, no. the reason he, "died", was because he was trying to return the little bird to his family the whole storyline. When he looked into the wreckage in his robot shell, he saw the bird family. He then realized they were keeping him alive so he made the ultimate sacrifice and let them go. And i'm fairly sure he exploded after he set them free...? I'm not sure i havent seen it in a while. he also had an onboard repair unit so he could have lived.

Eggman already rebuilt Gamma. In fact Gamma's whole story was to prove that he was the best of the E- 102 series. Once Beta and the others were defeated, Eggman made Gamma's design to be THE E-102 robot.

There is a new Gamma, called E-102r "Chaos Gamma"

That being said, SA E-102 Gamma isn't coming back, because there are tons of E-102 robots.

All E100-series Robots looked similar. Go back and Play SA1. They all look almost identical.

If anything, OMEGA looks the most different. He's obviously a later model that is completely unrelated to Gamma. The flickie that powered Gamma was freed. OMEGA is a completely different robot.

If he was un upgraded Gamma, he would have been called Gamma MK-2
