@Tomk33us, The Mayans were very advanced in the Science of Mathematics, Astronomy, & the other Sciences. Their Civilization had already pretty much disappeared by the time the Spanish Conquistadors arrived in the Americas. The most probable cause was ecological. Population was too big for the local area to sustain & the onset of warfare between rival Mayan Cities. Of course, If you knew this History already, I wouldn't have had to explain it to You.
