  • everyime.... Ryan schools these liberals.... and they just go away quiet...

  • Comment removed

  • @unclelight What are the right wingers doing that is bad for the middle class? You have no idea what you are talking about.

  • all the hosts on daytime msnbc are liberals.. what were you saying about unfair fox?

  • haha i love the look on o'donnel's haggard face, that made my day

  • If not Ron Paul, then Paul Ryan for President!

  • Now my insurance company will rake in MILLION$ MORE!

Run you fat piggie pig pigs RUN and BUY your insurance like good citizens of the State before I send the IRS to fine you!

OH, did I forget to mention that we lobbied Congress to remove those pesky "price controls" out of the bill?

Well, we DID, so now we can continue to raise prices on you sheeple and there's nothing you can do about it now! WE OWN YOU!

Go buy your insurance today or tomorrow I will steal your house away! la

  • @NewChristianSoldiers

They lobbied congress to remove price controls, however they did not succeed. Do you really think Pelosi, someone that hates Health Insurance companies would let that go through?

  • Ryan is the insurance lobby's nigger!

  • I wish there where more people like Paul Ryan in Washington.

  • Much respect for Paul Ryan.

  • Paul Ryan and his cronies overturned the Glass-Steagall Act which paved the way for the global economic collapse of 2008. He is a staunch supporter of the derivatives market and capital default swaps. He will do everything in his power to ensure that the banks maintain control over the US.

  • @Diatonic5th ; libtard. The repeal has little or nothing to do with the collapse. None of the collapsed companies, Lehman, Bear, AIG, Fannie & Freddie never benefitted from it.

  • @tooltalk Incorrect.

Citigroup, specifically cDMI, lost $27.7 billion in 2008 and needed $45 billion in government bailout to remain solvent. Citigroup Derivatives Markets Inc. (cDMI) could never have been created without the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act. It's estimated that our markets have $17 trillion in banking investments that have no real capital backing them up. The GOP and Dems are nothing more than mouthpieces for the corporations that own and govern America.

  • @Diatonic5th : ok, Citi is the only legitimate case of the repeal, but how do you explain the others that have actually *failed*? Yes, we all know that Weil and his ambition to create this supermarket model of banking was behind much of the repeal efforts back in the Clinton days. Yet, most banks did not take advantage of the change, b/c by this time, the GS become obsolete - as A Meltzer said, most companies have found ways to circumvent the restriction imposed by the act.

  • @Diatonic5th : in another word, there is no point in pretending that some gov't regulations by Dodd (or any politician for that matter) is going to solve the fundamental problems. Likewise, those who had predicted the housing crisis in the first place always looked at the gov't's utopian housing and the Fed's loose monetary policies to correctly forecast the collapse (and now the very same gov't's fiscal / monetary stimulus / bailouts to future currency collapse).

  • @Diatonic5th : this isn't to say the banks are not at fault. My point is that the gov't shouldn't have been in the business of providing cheap money to those banks / home buyers in the first place (directly or indirectly through setting the interest rate or subsidizing housing). The gov't now comes in pretending like they had nothing to do with the crisis and preach the gospel that we can not take care of ourselves without the govt.

  • Keep it up Rep Ryan. You are one of the few in Congress who has an econ degree, understands business, and understands the American people. Most people in congress can't do basic addition and subtraction. Way to stand your ground on MSNBC.

  • Welcome to the Real World, America! Now u can hold yor heads up high. No more do u hav to carry the shame of yor citizens dying in hospital waiting rooms or being refused medical treatment cos they don't have insurance, or the ins. company doesn't cover yor 'particular' ailment. Yayyyyyy! Freedom at last!

Barack HUSSEIN Obama, you are a legend! Congrats, Mr. President. You did it! :-)

  • @witchwild LOL, you are funny. Yayyyyyyy. You would sell your soul to the devil. Look at other countries that have this system. Does eveyone really get the proper care the need. Listen to some of the horror stories that come from their countries. You just might have a different opinion......

  • @futurerapture : yes, but other countries do not have the kind of expenses that the US has. They don't have military bases in 150+ countries or enormous foreign aid budgets. Many of those countries also have fiscal problems with their welfarism and are experimenting with more market approach. France now has a right-wing president, Sarkozy, do you know why?

  • @witchwild Nobody is turned away.

We didn't have an access problem, we had a cost problem.

Doctors take the hippocratic oath and states have various legislation preventing people from being thrown out of an ER.

This is nothing more than further securing a monopoly for insurance companies. We are actually punished if we don't want to buy insurance? how is this a free society?

  • They call Fox one sided. This was ridiculous. He held his own well.

  • There are a few statesmen left. The Democrats are mostly politicians.

  • it ain't over folks! thanks paul ryan and keep it up!

  • Ryan is one of the few even on the GOP side who actually gets it. I'll bet he has actually read the Constitution too.

  • Who is this AHole from MSNBC, who asks why didn't the Republican participate in the process, you fucking moron, they tried and were ignored. Some news commentator, doesn't have a clue as to what going on, just know the Democrat talking points, this is why Fox News is blowing you idiots away.

  • Ryan is the insurance lobby's nigger!

  • Do you kiss yo mamma with that mouth mufka? Just like I say you "liberal-progressive" fascist statist mufkas are the real racists! Who the hell you trying to double back on? You ain't fooling no one...

  • Keep up the good work, Paul! Liberals are just immune to hypocrisy.

  • i love at the end when Rep. Ryan shuts down David Shuster (#3 on the msnbc liberal blowhard line up, behind Olbermann and Maddow)

His only response is "well, thanks for coming on..."

  • America is so stupid!!

We got Paul Ryan, who has such a great plan, which really benefits the American people, then we have Obama, Pelosi, Reid, who pocket OUR money and pass it out to THEIR friends, and have exempt themselves from this nightmare healthcare, and America chooses the loosers. I can't wait to vote these criminals OUT. and yes, if Bernie Madoff is a criminal, then so are these people buying votes with OUR money.

  • Man, if Wisconsin didn't need him so much as a future governor I'd say run for President in 2012.

  • Well done. Exactly correct.

  • Paul Ryan your work for the American people is greatly appreciate.Democrats

are obviously not Americans they are without a doubt communist. ALL OF THEM

  • Thank you Rep. Ryan. You have my support.

  • Can you just imagine if Paul Ryan was president? Wouldn't it be great to have a mind like that solving our problems?

Instead we have Obamacare....... It would be funny if it wasn't so sickening.

  • Indeed, thank you Rep. Paul Ryan! It's got to be so hard and frustrating to be fighting this in Washington, but you're doing to right thing! THANK YOU again.

  • Rep. Ryan isn't trying to tear the house down to remodel the livingroom. Is HC broken? Very much so. But this bill is not the way to fix it.

  • You say you wanted a chance to bargain and create something with bipartisan approval...yet when you had the chance a few weeks ago you WOULDN'T EVEN TRY.

I'm tired of all these Republicans who say 'We have an idea, we want to work together' and then do nothing but turn up their noses at the Democrats who try to talk to them.

    Bullshit. Complete bullshit.

  • I like the way Rep. Ryan just take the wind out of the sail of these talking heads. They try the na na na approach and he just shuts them down, you could even hear their sigh at the end.

  • I agree with you. Paul Ryan has turned to to be a pretty impressive force to be reckoned with. I hope to see more of him in the future (maybe 2012). Everyone he goes up against looks ignorant when he's done, but he doesn't do it in an ugly hateful way. The guy just really knows the issues.

  • @cano21 "Everyone he goes up against looks ignorant when he's done"

    cano21, You got that right!!!

  • thank you !

  • Thank you Paul for standing up for us!!!

  • Democrats represent the culture of death.

  • Democrats are political prostitutes i really didnt expect anything else.

  • Thank you, Rep. Ryan and may God bless you.

  • Oh my god Paul how do you talk to those turds?

  • Thank you, Mr. Ryan. You have the support of many people. You never got an answer to the double counting and gimmicks. Keep asking.

  • Stupak is a fool. But of course he never planned to vote against it.

  • Thank You Rep. Ryan!!!!

  • God bless you, Paul Ryan!
