  • hahaha.... Weiner lost his NY-9 seat to Republicans. a state that hasn't voted conservative for 90 yrs. 2012 is going to be humoungous losses for Democrats. especially any of them seen with 0bama or seen supporting 0bama's failed policies. the OWS protests have just turned off wealthy contributors who donated to the left's cause and agenda. now all that money will go to republican politicians. all the independents are turned off too by OWS shitting on cars/etc & not showering for 4 yrs straight

  • Ed Schultz, Dennis Kucinich, Alan Grayson, My Weiner--- all genetically inferior.

  • Republicans hate it when majority of Americans have same healthcare as they do. As long as the American people don't have it, it's fine by them, but if they do, then it's "armageddon".

  • @Pill88Dickle That's good I hope Weiner takes office!

  • @Pill88Dickle Who? Those pieces of shit that voted for The Patriot Act? I hope they did! Fucking Scum!

  • Fuck RepubliCunts, stupid fucks, the majority of those idiots voted for The Patriot Act! Dumb Cunts!

  • ANthony Weiner SUCKS weiner. Just another fucking liar like the moron Greyson was. Bye Greyson!!! Get a real job now you piece of shit, full of shit moron!! Haha!

  • LOL All those Seniors in Florida watching Basic Cable and Fauxed News who voted against Grayson in 2010. Social Security, Medicare, Vetrans Benefits (Medical/G.I. Bill) all going to be reduced and privitaized. Good job to all those befuddled Seniors. Don't cry me a river when your homeless and left out on the street with no medical coverage and destitute. You Reap what you Sow lol. The one party who looked out for Seniors got handed a slap in the face in 2010. Have fun with the Rethugs (laughs).

  • Good bye Grayson...the people have spoken, you idiot!

  • stfup tom u are a fk idiot

  • My brother was a gifted electronics engineer who died when he could not get health care during a lapse fo coverage between jobs. It is easy to think of healthcare as a luxury when you are healthy, but your next medical crises could be tommorrow. The existing system was grossly flawed with unsustainable cost growth and HMO run death panels deciding our fate.

  • These two losers make me sick. Ed the fat man with the big mouth and the pencil neck geek. Bring on the debate tony....you will lose! Watch what happens to your agenda in November.

  • Fuck the filthy GOP. They suck CEO cock.

  • I love grayson and weiner. I send them money when I can because I think its so important that we have pp in congress that can expose the hypocrisy and the obvious corporate interests driving the republican party.

These religious right zealots have turned me off to religion completely.

  • @barbcinque says="I LOVE GRAYSON WEINER"

    ----

    Most fags do!

    You disgusting puke!

  • Grayson you thieving scumbag pay for those narcissistic DVD's instead of charging taxpayers you weasel in a bad suit.

  • All the Passion for a Inside Job on 911.Michael Moore would of took them all to Cuba by now.

  • Tom Price is a goddamn punk and a coward

  • The failure of Government is all around us.

Want Health care? Bring home our troops DemoRepublican war mongers

End the Fed and the inside 911 wars will end with them

Be a responsible American not accountable for Bigger Government war Mongers.

    Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790)

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Wake up America - now a Weenier

  • @Allamericom ......Yes special interest are screwing us,.....now what I am hoping to see is that ethnic bonding does not interfere with the higher calling of a nation, I am referring to the ethnic sharing between Weiner and Cantor,.....I am hoping that the crux of their difference is bigger than their ethnic bond whereas they are both man enough to stick to their guns and do it without malice

  • And if you are just now sitting around wondering....aw gee.....really? The Republicans had an idea too? Hmmmm....let's see? What was there health care plan?

Then you are so far gone and out of touch and a day late and a dollar short. You must be in MSNBC disinformation up to your neck by now...and occasionally choking on it...as you try to keep your head up... Google it genius... Didn't you watch the 7 hr meet?

  • Finally, Al Grayson is toast....Sorry for you're "hero" to be so short lived but he's up in November as well and the first Dumocrat elected in 30 years of Republicans for Orlando, FL, polls already show his approval below 17%...

Stick a fork in his ass, this pig is fried !! Done, on to the next idiot...

  • Now, when you're done there, review the transcript of the 7 hour summit at the whitehouse and review the plan again presented from the Republicans. Obama even claims he used some of their ideas in HIS plan. Now you were saying?

  • Ed Schultz is fat, ugly, goofy, and gross.

  • I can't wait until the full impact of this plan begins....I hope people remmeber it's origin then.......

  • Yea damn bipartianship cuz those bitches didnt care about that when they controlled every fucking thing all those years. Push it through our damn selves, fuck what people think just do your job Mr. President.

  • I know you posted this a while back, but TRUTH!

People have short memories about the then Republican-lead legislature entertaining the notion of performing the "nuclear option," effectively silencing any sort of minority-party legislative procedures.

When the Republicans controlled the house, they literally wanted a tyranny of the majority because of the ability to filibuster... now they're like the kings of filibuster as well as wanton obstruction (as they blocked so many WH appointments).

  • obama need to stop dis bipartinship crap. im tired of of gop saying no and tired of obama and dems thinkin america want bipartinship over good policy. i think open medicare/public option to everyone is the only way to have prices lowered. not mandatory medicare but optional and forcing peep to be w/ private ins. is bs. if dems dont gi americans choice they will feel at da polls which is Y peeps here couldnt vote for deeds. obama man up. i wonder would hilary b like dis.

  • I love Ed. He pulls no punches.

  • "The DEAD Show"......LOL

What a windbag ole fart this guy is.....

10 people watch his show....2 of them aren't related to him.... Grayson and his mom....

  • Make it 11...I watch him, too.

  • Opinions count!!!

  • The Price is wrong.

  • Fuck you Tom Price. I'm a Union Inspector and your king our ottat here. Many first responders are on the look for your kind and we will not care that when you happen to trip and fall, we might not just be there in time for you!

  • I think that Re. Grayson and Rep Weiner should tag team and go after the republicans for not having a plan and for trying to kill healthcare reform. These two are probably the most honest and out spoken congressmen we have.

  • @whoyouare13 should take a minute away from MSNBC and find out that Republicans have a plan and presented it to the whitehouse for a year including 7 requests to meet with the president despite Senator Reid and Presidential advisor Emmanuel's excluding ALL republicans from the meetings designing the health scam bill.

  • @ASentinel2 What was the republicans plan? What exactly did they have written out for anyone to see? Over 100 republican amendments were added to this bill. Including the mandate that they republicans are crying about. Rep Grayson said it best, and most honestly. "the republican healthcare plan is don't get sick. And if you do get sick, then die quickly."

  • @whoyouare13 you simply have been watching too much MSNBC..

The Republican bill was posted on the Congressional website for months. And the amendments you refer to simply were defeated by Dumocrats and not included. There was not one Republican Amendment added to HR4872 so you are simply misinformed.

This was intentionally partisan, and the amendment process excluded ANY Republican input by Sentator Reid's act to move it only to Dumocrats.

  • @ASentinel2 So what exactly was in the republican healthcare bill that you said was "post on the congressional website for months?" The individual mandate is in the this bill and that was a republican amendment. It was first introduced back in 93 by John Mccain. Sources: H.R. 3468,Sources: S. 1783,Sources: H.R. 4038,Sources: H.R. 4529. These are just some of the over 100+ republican amendments that are in the current healthcare bill, well now its LAW.

  • @whoyouare13 once again you're smokin' something because all of the Republican amendments were blocked successfully by the Dumocrats.

The bill, the amendments and the passing was completely partisan. Sorry, when it fails and ruins everyone's quality and price of healthcare, the economy, bankrupts hospitals and drivers Doctors away from practicing medicine causing huge delays and lines for treatment....The Dumocrats will own the whole mess by themselves... Can't put it on Republicans.

  • @ASentinel2 You really must be republican because facts obviously don't mean anything to you.I gave you a list of republican amendments that were in the healthcare bill and you still want to act as if they didn't exisit. Republican'ts are gonna be remember for not doing anything to help our country and that will hurt them come november.Have fun in your fantasy land where facts don't matter.

  • @whoyouare13 you are wrong...you "listed" nothing...anyone reading below can verify that...you simply stated that Republicans added 100 amendments to the HC Bill...

And I simply pointed out they submitted them but they were all handily defeated by the Dumocrats. Google it genius... MSNBC doesn't cover the whole story so you need alternate sources. Nope, Repubs didn't contribute to the communist takeover of HC, you got it. All Dums...

  • @ASentinel2 Thank you for proving my point about republicns. Facts are something that don't exist in your world. Here is that list of republicans amendments,AGAIN,that I posted before. Sources: H.R. 3468,Sources: S. 1783,Sources: H.R. 4038,Sources: H.R. 4529. Quick lesson, this is how they list amendments in a bill. I am getting bored schooling you. I will let you have the last word,or in your case LIE. Then I'll move on to someone that actually knows how to fact check.

  • @whoyouare13 did you read those? They are different bills submitted for house vote and never even came to a vote last year. They were defeated too.

Amendments would not have a different number than the LAW the Dumocrats passed! LOL YOu don't know what you're talking about. Did you know there are provisions for parks, nature trails, and jungle jims in your health care law? Did you know anything?

  • @whoyouare13

LMAO! I agree with your comments 100%. I have been telling off republicans for over a year now about the debates and Obama. They live in LA LA Land somewhere. LMMFAO! It is almost histerical. "Crazy people don't know they are fukin crazy" These people are insane.

  • @whoyouare13 AMEN and these are the guys are hardcore, more hard core than obama

  • Aetna denied 43,000+ for various reasons.

MEDICARE DENIED 475,566 FOR VARIOUS REASONS.

OH...I THOUGHT WE WERE TOLD ON THESE POSTS THAT ONLY EVIL PRIVATE HEALTH INS. COMPANYS DENY PEOPLE?

GUESS WE WHERE MISLED BY LIBS AGAIN.

  • Weiner Grayson 2012

  • Go Grayson.! No Apology necessary.

  • Grayson had his FIVE MINUTES, under the rules, he broke NO RULES, period.

  • Representative Grayson owes no apologies. His comments pale in comparison to some of the hyperbole coming from GOP members of Congress.

    'memmer "Death Panels"?

  • Thems fighin' words. Go Grayson and do not apologize.

  • In fairness there are some Republicans who think folk should die slowly. Those must be the ones complaining about the "die quickly" part.

I am so Proud that Grayson is my Congressman!

  • We love Alan Grayson and Ed Schultz.

To Republicans,we say B.S! They should apologize to our President for their rudeness to him with their Joe wilson!

  • Rep. Grayson is not "attacking the character" of Republicans, he's indicting them for crimes. Collecting money from the health insurance industry in exchange for representing them may be legal bribery, but it's only legal because they say so, as is depriving people their inalienable right to life and freedom from fear, which includes feer of losing their shelter and life. Republicans have decided that AIG is too big to fail, but American lives are too insignificant to matter.

  • A hero is born...Alan Grayson 2012

  • I'm glad there are some democrats with some spine, I deplore attacking the character of others, but in our current situation, with republicans making up "death panels", to supporting birthers, to yelling you lie to the president, when Joe Wilson was completely wrong, to republican representatives calling Obama an "enemy to humanity", I find that the only way to move this country forward is to get some spine and stick it to the republicans

  • hehehe....weiner. but in all seriousness i like this guy especially what he said at the end about how republicans are a subsidiary of the insurance company cuz its true. sure some dems are also guilty of that and we know who they are (may max baucus burn in hell). but most of them believe in doing the right thing and the few among them like grayson actually have the courage and conviction to be bold and really stick it to the republicans.

  • Finally some spine!

  • ED...ED... You need to get facts straight. Produce someone or a death cert that proves 1 person died due to lack of health care. Ohhhh, you can't now can you. Go to hell Ed. I pray for you.

  • this senator is honest and aggressive!!!!

  • It seems the majority here think that Grayson is a hero and all healthcare ins. CEOs are crooks( some may well be)

BUT, did you consider how many Dems take campaign contributions from these companies.

So, the 'pot calls the kettle black'.

    Aren't you guys just wonderful.

  • Lobbyists always give the most money to whoever is in power. Just so happens the Democrats are right now. NO more campaign contributions for ANYONE!

  • i agree with you. there are some dems that are in the pocket. difference is all of the repubs are in the pocket of one insuance company or another. i don't know if you are for or against the public option or not, and i don't really care. personally, i'm for it the public option. but the point is, no matter which side you're on we can all agree that that is wrong and the government needs to remember who the fuck they work for.

  • Medved is dick. I hate him

  • Thank you, finally someone on the hill gets it !! Rep.Grayson don't be silenced, keep on being out spoken !!we're with you.............GOOD JOB

  • People need to realize all these talking heads are put in front of you for one reason and by the same "money changers"-to get you to listen to their commercials to buy more crap. their job is to keep you emotionally charged so you tune in each day to listen to commercials. No solutions . No substantive debates.

  • According to a friend of mine working for GE, GE is just about DOUBLING health care insurance premiums to their employees, and making an out of pocket minimum $2,500, and $7,000 under 80/20 starting in January... No more $15 co-pays. Oh, this is in the Rep. Boehner's (R) Congressional District... Public option anyone? Town hall? Don't mess with my private plan... well there you go!

  • Thank you Senator Grayson fro telling the truth and getting to the root of the problem....you got guts and we need more democrats like you.

  • I wish he was a senator but Grayson is a congressman really.

  • Thank you for the info.....wish he was a senator, too. In either case, we do need more democrats with balls.

  • Republicans are horrible, horrible people! I am glad to see someone finally standing up to them!! REpublicans will probably win the day with all their lies. They don't care about people, their ideaology is the strong survive the weak will perish that's it, and the sad truth is that there is a better way!!

  • Yes, they're all horrible horrible people! What an idiotic statement. You sound worse than the people you're insulting with your nonsense.

  • You got your Bogeyman the REpublicans to blame as your excuse so as not to face the truth that your real problem is with REsponsibility.

You hate REsponsibility and REpublicans represent REsponsibility.

REpublicans are horrible in your mind because REsponsibility is horrible to you.

I care for anyone, man or woman, black, white, red, yellow skin, etc., poor or not poor, as long as they want to be responsibility and do care themselves.

All REpublicans I know feel the same.

  • it was nice word play but a alittle lack in the substance department.

  • haha lack substance, you're comment sounds like it has a lot in common with the REpublican healthcare bill.

  • How can someone say they know the heart of a person from a YouTube post. There are greedy and noncaring people in all groups, no matter who they are.

I speak for myself and the Republicans that I know, not for 'all' Republicans.

My basic understanding of Republicanism is to take responsible for ones life, have a positve attitude about people and life, and to 'be' free to contribute to self, family, and others.

For 'longbowfosho' to say Republicans are "all horrible horrible people" cont

  • cont. is outrageous and is a logical fallacy known as the "hasty generalization". Some could be horrible, but does this person know all Republicans. Some Dems could be horrible while most are not. I don't know all Democrats.

I can only speak for all the Republicans 'I' know. Not others.

Here is some substance: My wife and I gave 12% of our gross before taxes and life costs to charities last year and will do more this year. We gave out of our free will. Giving & sharing are only free will

  • For VP Joe Biden and other libs to say that we need to pay more taxes and that those taxes are "sharing" is pure manipulation and totally subjective on their part.

What Congressional Dems are actually proposing in the public option is the loss of freedom to give and self-determination for govt. control of our healthcare choices and all in the name of helping 12% of people in this country. A large % of these persons have not because of their life choices and attitudes. I was once poor. I know.

  • I don't mind helping people. BUT, being forced by Liberals through govt. to help people who don't care themselves, refuse to be responsible with their lives and life choices, and all to the empowerment of Liberals in govt. is intolerable.

Would you want someone or the govt. to force you to like or appreciate persons who despise you and who use you. The obvious answer is "NO!". Dems have voted down every Repub amendment in commitee to not fund healthcare for illegals, abortion, etc. Bipartisan?

  • Don't just take my word for it, do some research. Look at the Cogressional record.

Dems say abortion is not in the bill(s), but they keep voting down Repub amendments not allowing abortion. Why? If abortion is not actually in the bill. Over 70% of american polled say no gov sponsored abortion in healthcare. Are the Dems in Washington listening to us? NO.

Over 80% of people polled say no gov. healthcare for illegals. Yet, committee Dems vote down every GOP amendment stopping funding. Whyyy?

  • it's had really take responsiblity for your life when CEOs and banks have fucked the economy so bad that it folds in on itself and people lose their jobs and everything they own and have to start from the beginning again. stuck on a treadmill. i myself was laid off from my job. that isn't freedom.

  • 1. CEOs and banks can only do what the govt. allows them to do. Did our leaders enforce the laws? 2. Did you have a rainy day fund? 3. Was you living check to check? 4. Did you load yourself down with debt? 5. Did you plan for recession? 6. Are you proactive or reactive in your life?

    7. Are you involved in continuing education just in case you get layed off?

Freedom is what you decide and plan ahead of time.

1st step to freedom is taking personal responsibility, not blame placing.

  • I'm sorry to see that you have been laid off.

I hope the best for you and that your situation will turn around soon.

    I am also unemployed.

  • Allow me to retort.

Point 1. So, if no one is looking, commit murder?

Point 2 Plan for the unforeseen? With a Tarot deck maybe?

Point 3. Was (sic) you like 90% of Americans these days thanks to Reaganomics?

Point 4. To make up for totally stagnant wages since 1982?

Point 5. Again, plan for the unforeseen future? Rune stones maybe?

Point 6. Are you wealthy or a wage earner?

Point 7. Are you training for an industry that is being off shored?

    Freedom isn't free...unless you are a CEO.

  • 1. Few commit murder if the law is enforced. What are you DOING to hold our leaders accountable. I'm involved wrinting them and voting. Its been proven the average person on the street does not know the names of various local, state, fed leaders. 2. A recession comes on average every 6 to 8 years. Recessions happened in 1992, 2000, 2008, etc. Common sense say one will occur 7 years after this one. OK. 3. Reganomics did work. Do research and look at the numbers. More blacks entered the (cont.)

  • cont. entered the middle class in the 80s than in previous times. 4. My wages since 1992 have gone from $4000 to over $150,000 today. It was not by accident. Go meditate on my original 7 questions. 5. Those who do not study past history or learn from their/others mistakes are doomed to repeat them. Truthful adage. 6. I was born in a lower class blue collar family and my dad was a machinist. I decided that being poor was no fun and commited myself to self inprovement. What is your excuse? (cont.

  • cont. 7. If you recall, it was before the Dems leaving office after their 1993 defeat to the Repubs in Congress who passed the NAFTA agreement which started America's downward spiral in Globalism and the loss of millons of manufacturing jobs. It was YOUR Dem Bill Clinton who signed that agreement.

Globalism is a lie to weaken America and give away our jobs.

*Simply, if you only want to think through emotions & not with the facts then you will feel your right, but will never get to the truth.

  • Finally, Obama and Dems 'throwing out the baby with the bath water' is unwise.

Capitalism is not the problem. People abusing it are the problem.

Deal decisively with them and conditons in our nation will get better.

Lets stop bailing these people out!

Let the penalty fit the crime!

Jail time should be given based on economic and social damage.

A CEO stealing a billion dollars should not get the same jail time as one stealing $500!

Some of these guys should be given life in prison. OK.

  • Wolfboy:

You are arguing with someone who has every single Intellectually Dishonest and Disingenuous Talking Point of the CONservative pundits like Hannity, O'Reilly and Beck.

It's impossible to win... because they are arguing in circles... and it you prove their facile ignorance, they just pull another Talking Point out of their arse.

Besides... They're probably getting paid to post, while the rest of us who aren't backed Financially by the Insurance Mega Mafia only have out real jobs.

  • He uses bull shit facts(things taken out of context to prove suspect propositions) outright lies and huge dollops of clap trap. The creature is morally bankrupt and mentally arthritic. With a creature like that, I respond and walk away. If a fucking burning bush told him something contrary to what he believed in, he would argue with it till it burned down to its roots.

  • This clown does not know whom he is messing with LMAO

  • If you would spend more time researching the facts and less time name calling, belittlling, and hate mongering, then maybe you would come to a reasonable and moderate conclusion for what our nation faces in healthcare.

    Is socialism morality?

Is the govt. control state morality?

My wife and I before taxes and living costs gave away 12% of our gross to charities helping people last year.

Did you give away any money of you own free will or was it all forced out of you by the state?

  • Does it matter? Oh right, the argument is you get to chose where your money goes, correct? Well you also chose to live in a society which provides you many securities and privileges, and what do they ask? A little money to help the poor just as you would chose to do anyway.

Or if you want to don't want to pay any taxes, by all means go back to hunter/gather status and live off the land.

  • Its hard to pay attention to my words while your boiling with anger.

I just honestly stated in the post before your reply that I gave 12% of my gross before taxes to charity. That is not (your words) "A little money to the poor as you would chose to do anyways"?

The IRS says only 55% of Americans pay income tax. How much tax will be 'my fair share'?

What security? Social Security will be bankrupt in 20 years. One gets 2% return on 6.5% forced investment.

    Paying taxes is biblical....

  • Being financially raped is NOT biblical.

Jesus said to give to Ceasar what is Ceasars. No problem.

But, I dont recall Jesus saying that Govt. was the only avenue to help poor people.

Did you give away 12% of your gross before taxes to help the poor?

Or, are you going to claim, the govt. forced it out of you and thus you helped the poor.

Simply this: Conservatives give people freedom to help the poor.

Liberals force people to help the poor and get power while doing so.

    See.

  • a Rebulican is always stating i help here and there and i own this and that, LOL.

self righteous hypocrites, what did Bush do for the good of americans, trample on thier constitution right, when his administration wanted to pass a bill they care not one bit to have a Democrat vote , it was either you're with us or with them, oh yeah that's real freedom, republicans use and benefit from social security, medicare, public aid, these were democrat bills republicans fought to destroy and now use,

  • Leesagrrl:

You said referring to me, " They're probably getting paid to post".

I wish someone paid me to post. Then my wife would get off my back for spending to much time talking to you. LOL!

I actually pity you. You are so cynical and resentful of idiot health CEOs hurting some people with their lack of ethics and and good personal character, that your willing to project all that mistrust on a thinking guy like.

Since profits are the problem then start a nonprofit ins. co.

  • Plutonwolf:

Isn't it funny how certain CONservatives are just about the farthest thing away from an actual Christian-like philosophy.

"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in."

  • It has been said before, Jesus healed for free. I didn't see a thing written about him running a credit check or asking about preexisting conditions....or was that hidden away in the Apochrypha?

"And it was written that Jesus, before the laying of hands upon the infirm, first did a DNA screening followed thus by the reading of the sacred books of Histories of righteous credit.. For it is ordained that only the well heeled and well born shall enter the kingdom of not being sick" Rambo 5-11.

  • Jesus also said to his disciples that they would do greater works( miracles..healings) then He did.

If you were a real Christian then you would be healing people for free using God's power and not gov. run healthcare using money conficated from your wallet.

But, because you don't know Jesus at all, you need your god the Govt. to save you.

Thus, since the fed gov. in a hard taskmaster, you can keep you god and I will have mine.

Keep surrendering to Ceasar and I'll keep giving to God.

  • a republican lecturing someone about responsibility.

    THAT'S-FUCKING-RICH.

  • Read my response to Plutowolf's retort.

Seems to me that you may need the input.

    Have a good one.

  • wow, you're actually smart...this is the first time i have ever said this in a comment thread but...i'm sorry, i had you all wrong. i just want to say that reading your comment made me realize that we're not so different. i'm a lib but i'm not an obama supporter. he's a politician, enough said. i think if people had any sense and any inclination for knowledge about who runs their government then people would have undoubtedly voted ron paul. i guess most were taken by "hope and change"

  • ALAN GRAYSON vs JOE WILSON

    Alan Grayson an American HERO

Joe (Kanye) Wilson an Insurance Companies HERO

    watch?v=LOZ2XjmeMIA

  • Alan Grayson is a poor excuse to represent Central Florida. He had to bus in supporters from Miami union houses for a town hall meeting in central Florida. Locking out his own constiuants that he represents.

  • Just shows how desperate the dems are!

More division to destroy this country and divide us more.

  • Badass!

  • Ed has the lowest rated talk show on all of cable tv.

The lowest rated show on MSNBC.

It is amazing he is still on the air

Maybe Soros is sending a secret subsidy.

Meanwhile Demorats are dealing with the serious health issues of the country head on by saying anyone questioning their plan wants people to die and is a racist.

This is the democrat method for convincing the american people. Like what we do or you want people to die and you're racist.

  • Well said!

  • Sir..your right on.

The new Liberal way is 'shut up and obey' or we will persecute you, slander you, accuse you, and hate you all the while calling you the hater.

Welcome to the New Democrat Democracy!

  • you said soros cuz u knoes teh troofs hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • You rock Grayson!

  • Love it. Christian terrorists and traitors hate America.

  • Mr. Ed is still on air? Daaaamn...

  • Alan Grayson kick butt keep up the good work

  • According to a friend of mine working for GE, GE is just about DOUBLING health care insurance premiums to their employees, and making their out of pocket minimum $2,500 starting in January... No more $15 co-pays. Oh, this is Rep. Boehner's (R) Congressional District... Public option anyone? Town hall? Don't mess with my private plan... well there you go!

  • Grayson you remind me of me! I'm a progressive though, and I believe in doing something than doing nothing so I lean toward the Dems on this one!

  • WHY WE NEED THE PUBLIC OPTION:

UHC CEO Stephen Hemsley has $745 MILLION in stock options. 2007 pay $13.2mil; 2008 $3.2 mil.

CIGNA CEO Edward Hanway made $120mil in last 5yrs. Stock options = $28mil.

    Humana CEO Michael McCallister's made $10.3mil in 07. $1,017,308 in 08. Stock options = $60mil.

LARGEST GOLDEN PARACHUTE in history of corporate America goes to William McGuire of UnitedHealth 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS!

How many DENIED angiograms MRI's & dialysis treatments does that take?

    BLOOD MONEY !!

  • oh spoogeydoggy

ur obviously a lazy thinker who conflates ur illogical bias against Obama with a likewise illogical opposition to much needed health care reform.

maybe ur just some loser paid to troll the internet ranting against reform, whipping up hatred in a sad attempt to sow more astroturf faux grass-roots rebellion. people are wising up tho. such despicable tactics & ad hominem rhetoric are pretty well played out. most reasonable people have had quite enough of tea-bagging schizophrenics.

  • "most reasonable people have had quite enough of tea-bagging schizophrenics."

Opposition to ObamaScare is nearing 60%.

    - You are calling 60% of Americans unreasonable.

They do not want to lose the control they have over their healthcare decisions WHICH IS VERY REASONABLE.

No amount of name calling, ad hominem attacks, straw man arguements, hasty generalizations, and just plain disingenuous disinformation on you part is going to change their minds.

    Ur hard-left overreaching fails!

  • please tell me why we need health insurance companies what service do they provide we pay twice as much as any other country and are ranked 37 by the world heath organization and i understand free market capitalism but should health care be treated as a commodity

  • All a health insurance company does is pool peoples premiums together to supports outlays as occurring by statistical need.

If for profit health insurance bugs you then have some fellow Libs start a nonprofit. Would stop all the abuses, right?

Tort reform does not mean "shaft hurting people". Dems don't want it because most trial layers are Liberal. The saying on the street is "hit me, I need the money". Our society sees lawsuits as 'hitting the jackpot'. No wonder health costs keep going up.

  • I think Tort reform looks good on paper but, can you honestly say that a capitalist would lower costs when the government cuts out some of their expenditure?

  • Yes, I can honestly say Tort Reform will work and drive costs down. The cost of healthcare is 15 to 20% excessive tests called defensive medicene given by doctors trying to protect themselves from lawsuits. Giving someone 60 million dollars by an emotional jury because the hospital have deep pockets is crazy. A hospital's pocket to really a collection of all of our little pockets. The lib trial lawyer gets 20 million(third of the money).

A capitalist has to cut costs to compete. Govt does not.

  • Cont. You want honesty. Ok.

How is the federal govt. cutting right now? Giving stimulus money for trying to rid a pig farm of dug odor in the midwest, or millions for condoms. Are condoms an Obama stimulus package? LOL!

The Dems are spending 2x the money coming in while the unemployment rate is nearing 10%, 16% in real terms. Polosi & Reid says we can spend ourselves out of debt (they actually said this to the media). Don't think so.

Any Dems/Libs willing to start nonprofit health Ins. Co?

  • Most hospitals are a private enterprise just like insurance companies. They are only made to see some one who is in labor or in a life threatening situation should they prove that they are unable to pay.

Yes, but instead of a public option you want tort reform. So no public option means no (unfair?) competition (except for other companies). Who will make them lower costs?

  • These posts are too short to be understood correct. Tort reform is the begining. Take the monkey off the back of fearful doctors and they will back off excessive testing thus lowering costs. Lack of competition always increases costs. Allowing people to shop insurance across state lines increases competition thus lowering costs. Medicare/medicad waste/fraud is upwards of 120 Billions. If we cut even 100 billion off fraud/waste then we got money for no/under/uninsurable. "Who" means the market.

  • The Dem say they want to be the competition via gov.

This is rediculous because that is like a NFL team(private insurers) playing a team of referees( gov.). One team can change the rules at will to their favor.

Eventually, the public option becomes a complete takeover because how can the gov. loose always making the rules.

    Now you see.

  • I agree about the posts. I know what tort reform is trying to accomplish. Though testing is not what insurance companies are saying is the culprit; malpractice suits are. I think that the idea is a ghost of trickle down economics which make me reticent to accept it as a viable reform. I may be too paranoid but, history has shown us that companies are there to make a profit. If tort reform is enacted why would they lower costs when their profit margins just exploded?

  • The extra testing is used by doctors to feigned off malpractice suits. The regular health insurance companies don't pay for malpractice lawsuits. Malpractice insurance companies pay the suits. Thus , they raise rates for doctors who pass along the costs to our health insurance company by higher fees. If a health ins. co. does not want to pay the increases, we naturally try to get a compay(choice permiting) to cover the increased cost. Then overall, most of the companies raise premiuns for us.

  • Furthermore, we don't live in a vacuum. I see your last point as a valid concern.

However, most people are not stupid. When they see their premiums not lowering and hear on the news(ABC,CBS,NBC for sure) that so & so insurance company is making exorbinate profits, then they will bolt for a company charging lower premiums for the same level insurance. Think in business terms. If a ins. co. wanted more market share then would they not lower premiums to take business away from so & so's PR fiasco.

  • Tort reform is only part of the solution, not the total solution.

****It was just anounced in the media that tort reform will reduce the deficit by 54 billion over 10 years by the CBO. This may give Repubs some leverage to be heard in the debate.

At this point you maybe wondering, "how does this guy know all this"?

Well I'm a minister and my wife is a specialist MD. We are no strangers to the health care debate. My wife fights & deals with ins. companines every day. Later, good night.

  • The insurance industrys profits on average have gone up more than 350%. I know that people aren't stupid but such can be said about the insurance companies. What's to stop them from lowering rates for a year or two and then putting them back up to previous levels, citing inflation as the cause? I agree that Tort reform is needed but, it is simply not curing the problem. The problem isn't insurance companies' money but the people of the USA's

  • Now it time to circle around and bring back my original question in these posts on various videos that no liberal has dared to answer for all the world to see.

Question: If health insurance profits are the primary problem of our healthcare woes then when will liberals come forward and start nonprofit healthcare insurance companies? This will obviously stop healthcare price increases since private healthcare insurance profits are the problem.

I like you DoctorCataclysm. Your a decent person.

  • I would hope has a minister and the husband of a doctor you are sickened by the system that we have today. I'm passionate about this subject so please excuse the strong language. The entire health care system needs an overhaul. Health care expenditures are 17.6% of the total GDP or around $2.5 trillion dollars. Even with all of that money sunk into private health expenses, in industrial countries now average only some 25 percent because of universal health coverage the USA is 56%.

  • I am surely sicked by the system. But I can't see why the Govt. can't help fix the private system without bullying its way in to be a player. Massachsetts has a universal healthcare system in place now for 3 years + and the system now costs 3 billion more than projected. The State doesn't know what it will do to resolve the problem & not everyone is still covered yet. Whats worst, I don't hear anyone on the Dem side talking about it and using it as a consideration in their proposals. Not good.

  • Massachusetts provides free health care for residents earning less than 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, and partially subsidized health care for those earning up to 300% of the FPL. It's also important to note that Mass institutes tax penalties for failing to obtain an insurance plan. Which is something that the Republicans have offered. We don't hear them talking about that either.

  • Good point. If what your saying is accurate about Republicans wanting tax penalties for failure to obtain health insurance then both parties are playing politics and being hypocritical to each other.

We are caught in the middle.

Question. Was it Mass. repubs wanting the penalties in state politics or was it repubs on the national level?

Massachesetts is a liberal state, so compared to me, a Mass. repub may be a RINO(Republican In Name Only).

Mitt Romney/no conservative. What about 3 billion?

  • DoctorCataclysm:

I enjoy your thoughtful comments... Tort Reform is a smokescreen.

But I think the "culprit" is Lobbyists and the Right of Corporate Personhood.

If Elections were paid for by We The People... I think things would be different.
