Please. There was NOTHING great about that goal. You wanna see greatness, watch 666 of Mario's highlight reel goals... All he did was jump in the air after he scored. Thank GOD For PAT QUINN and PETE MAHOVLICH. Taught the hot dog that the game is played going FORWARDS, NOT BACKWARDS... He's 180 pounds soaking wet... Fuckin queer. Mario would ruin him just like he did Ray Pork.

@StaalRulz2010 How is he a "hot dog"? When you're the greatest player of all-time (not Lemieux or Gretzky, ORR), you can really do whatever you want. If you put Gretzky and Lemieux against Orr in a 2-on-1, I guarantee Orr would stop them, and score. Orr was, is, and always will be the greatest player of all-time.

Lemieux wouldn't come close to "ruining" Orr. Orr would blow right by him. Just like he did to everyone else. All Lemieux did (& still does) is complain. Lemieux was great but not Orr

@bl2242 Dude, have you ever read St. Louis' roster from that year? They were a team full of no names. Any team could have beat them. And not on some chincy play from behind the net - when the goalies open their legs up you can see Mt. Everest. Try going end to end like Mario did to Ray Pork every time he stepped onto the ice. Make the announcer say Oh my goodness, what a move what a goal!!! Or, "Look at this", steal the puck from Oates, embarrass BOTH of them on a POWERPLAY nonetheless...

@StaalRulz2010 They didn't have elite forwards but they had Glenn Hall and Jacques Plante in net. I don't think any team had a better goalie tandem at the time.

that is nothing . The goalie doesnt know how to be goaltend. All he does is score an ordinary goal at a special moment and does a amazing celebration. Thats is nothing

@wildguy108 Back in dem days , goaltending was different. The pads were thinner etc. Use your eyes next time. Watch some other '70s goalie vids then come back here.

@wildguy108 Scoring a goal at a special moment makes that goal a special goal. And the goalie doesn't know how to goaltend??? Yeah it's amazingly easy to stop a shot by a sniper skating two feet in front of you. Also, goaltending was different in 1970. Basically every single goaltender was a stand up goaltender. And they didn't really "challenge" shots. I wouldn't either if I had no helmet.
