Damn Mini Cab drivers do my head in.....Where I live we have Afghan drivers that are letting people of the fare cos they took him the wrong way and fear getting reported, when they get in my black cab they try it on and I tell them where to go, Its happening more and more.

The reason unlicenced cabs have proliferated is because black cab drivers dont want to work the hours when people want cabs. Getting a black cab after 12 a night is virtually impossible.Get off your asses and provide a service at a time people want it before crticising mini cab drivers who are doing exactly that.

They are licensed by the same local authority, pass the same style mot, CRB checks, ETC. Come on Cockney Cabbies, get in to the 21st century. The dinosaurs are killing the game.

The only reason they get into touting minicabs is because there is a shortage of black cabs. Us minicabs should have our own marshalled ranks in the west end then the public can choose between us and them. They'll choose us because we're cheaper!

Noone's saying you should scrap the knowledge, but every reason for keeping it can be solved by replacing it with a combination of sat nav and a 6-8 month knowledge. You only need a basic knowledge plus a satnav. Addison Lee prove that and provide good

I'm learning K, and every time i am cut up, nearly knocked off or tail gated - it is always by Private Hire Vehicles. This monster is getting way out of hand.

Lazy, quick buck people cannot be bothered to learn the Knowledge. This then shows in the way they conduct themselves while out "working".

im doing the knowledge im only on my 8th run so it will be a long time before im driving a taxi just hope this gets sorted out! another area thats bad for this is the scala in kings cross theres a cab firm around the corner with all the cabs outside and a guy stands outside the scala with a radio asking if anyone needs a cab. and no1 cares as far as the police or anyone is concerned the cabs are legal
