  • Here's my banjo version of the tune. We are playing it the speed Kenny played it on his "plays Bill Monroe" album, but it sure does sound good the speed you play it. Nice job!

  • You have some fabulous picking skills -- you did not do the A-part. I guess this is because Monroe's break is only the B & C part also? Anyway you were wailing on that tune -- very nice!!

  • Also I can't believe someone came through and rated this video less that a 5 stars -- they must have been out of their minds! This is more than 5 Stars!!

  • good job...one of my favorites

  • great job!!! Love that tune. 5*****

  • Nailed it!

  • Good job on another great Monroe instrumental.

I always wonder why Bill Monroe only recorded the last two parts of the tune. The first part is, I think, the most interesting

  • Way to go, great playing

  • One of my favorties, and you do an excellent job. Check steam powered preservation society's website for a COmpton/Long live recording of this tune, which is fantastic. They do several Monroe instrumentals live.

  • Thanks for the compliment, it is a great song. I checked those recordings out, pretty tough stuff. Those two are really carrying on the Monroe style. Maybe one day!

  • Great job!
