  • Nothing wrong with it unless theres a lineup for the squat racks. Dynamics vary with the size and thickness of the bar. If you're gonna criticize someone for the way they train, you're probably more ignorant than they are.

  • @PGASpellissy And no, you CAN'T curl "anywhere" in the gym! Maybe the other straight bars were taken by people working chest or shoulders. If they needed a straight bar, which hits the biceps differently than an E-Z bar, then they can't just settle for dumbbells or a machine. They needed a specific piece of equipment and the rack was apparently available.

  • @MrFauxkiss lawl, The squat rack is called squat rack and not curl rack because you're supposed to do squats in it, this is the only place you can do squats in the whole gym.

    Bar curls can be done about everywhere but because your hero Kane likes to look at himself while curling he is standing in the squat rack, looking like a douche.

  • @r3fotzirx The squat rack is called the squat rack because it is designed for squatting, this doesn't mean it cant be used for other purposes, ie curls.

    Understand that curling from the hang position vs. curling after picking the weight off the floor significantly reduces strength when considering the amount and angle of the weight that is used during a barbell curl.

    Nevertheless, wait your turn, its a gym, people paid and are entitled to use the equipment however they please.

  • @MrFauxkiss It's an issue because there are other places straight bar curls can be done without having to pick them up from the ground, where most conventional gyms only have the squat rack as a safe place to squat.

EVERY exercise that requires OPEN CHAIN control and concentric/eccentric muscle activation..ie dumbell exercises requires the person to maintain correct form and a mirror is a visual tool at maintaining that. only the best bodybuilder and athletes have not only strength but correct muscle control. thats what sets them apart from people like you.

  • @MrOzwinner Again, name one excercise where you need to look in a mirror to correct your form. Bench press = you shouldn't be looking anywhere but up. Squat, again possibly to correct depth when looking straight, but that is it. You can't see anything else i.e. back angle, shin angle, but wink, etc... from that angle in the mirror. Same with Deadlift, when looking for the front maybe the only thing you could check would be starting position of the hips. So tell me, when do you NEED mirror?

Thats one the beginning of it..

Assholes and douche bags might curl in the squat rack, but so do regular guys who need a straight bar if it's available.   • If you built up your traps, lats, upper and lower pecs good you should be able to curl where ever the hell you want. People who have underdeveloped/no back or chest shouldn't even be able to do curls until they are done with there back or chest workout and when they are done with it and are ready to do bis or tris they shouldn't need a squat rack because the chest or back workout will account for 75% of your bi or tri workout.A light cable or BB will suffice. These guys get a pass

Whenever i use the squat rack for something stupid and i see someone waiting for it, I always give it to them, even if im not done my sets... People just don't know how to be courteous these days.
