Usually, turtle is two words, "Wu Gui," but google seems to have simplified it to just "Gui," which also works. And, there's more than one way to say "girl" in chinese. "Nu Hair" is a more formal way of saying girl, which is expected of google translations. But, because He Qun and Xiao Shi have a close relationship, he calls her "Mei" which technically means little girl in a very affectionate way.

So turtle "Wu Gui" (2 words) + "Mei" (1 word) = "Wu Gui Mei" (3 words)

I like this drama very much but I'm a bit annoyed by the reaction of the lead actors' parents. They seem to push both to be engaged and get married ASAP although their studies are on-going and have met less than 3 months. I am pretty sure this does not happen in real life in Taiwan.
