Your cover was great:) you have a lot of talent. thanks so much for this video! I love the Beatles! and i just barely started learning the electric and I found this very helpful:) definite thumbs up from me:)
i have a problem with this little "solo" at the end of the first verse. i cant play it so fast and its like anything but not that what i want to play can you give me a tip maybe?
@keiranbm USUALLY John plays rhythm and George plays solo/lead BUT in Get Back it's opposite: John solo/lead, George rhythm. Check out the Rooftop performance of Get Back if you want proof(:
During a good amount of the production of this song, George had temporarily left the band so John had to work out the lead guitar parts. John plays the solo in this song as well as in the rooftop performance
When they sing "Get Back" the A7 sounds off. Try an A form "C" chord over an A root which can be played on the A string. You'll find this more in line with what was on the album.
Maybe you can help me with something, how do you mute the middle string. What I mean is if in tab it says play two strings but mute the string in between them how do you do it?
Great lesson Marty. I've been playing for years but unfortunately never became real good. I have played in bands from time and can always hold my own back back on rhythm. But, I always learn something new and you explain how to play a song so well, it makes it so easy. Thanks.
Who are those 4 lame-asses who didn't like this? Marty my friend (if I may call you that), you truly are the coolest guy on the Tube. If you're ever in So Cal, I'd sure like to take you and yours sailing (I'm a licensed captain with a 40' sailboat)...free, of course. Check me at Pirateboatchartersdotcom. I can't count how may lesssons of yours I've got on my favorites. Thanks man.
@IamGruntled First: throw out the idea of rhythm/lead guitarist. It's detrimental to your learning. You're just a guitarist. You should aim to be proficient in playing both chords and single note melodic lines. This will expand the possibilities of your playing, and you'll always be able to add something while playing along with another guitarist who CAN'T play both ways.
lead starts in e at 9th fret on g string Johnstops playing cords then starts the lead in e while George is playing in E George changes to A7 pointer finger is on e 2th fret on Dstring ring finger is on C# 4th fret on A string G string is played open making it a A7 I never seen this A7 played in any other songs george goes back to E then plays G to D next line George goes from E to D back to E then G to D
Marty....You are the King of Online lessons..Is there a site we can go to and see the collections of all of your lessons? How much would it run. Whatever the cost, it would be worth it. I dont want to learn theory, just songs
John played the A at 5th fret, changing to D 10th fret next line is going fromA to C 8th fret starts in A7put little finger on G note on 2th guitar George is playing in E changing to A7
you know something, when ur doing the lick, u can use ur middle finger when u slide from the 10th to the 11th fret. so ur already prepared for the last part of the lick

@T4teens The "G's and Ds" you're prolly referring to are chords. You might wanna learn your basic open chords before you start learning songs like this. Open chords are a good place to start.
