  • You doing George's part?

  • Hey Marty, the last 3 notes of that lick at around 6:30 s/b C,A,C not B,A,C. Check it out...

  • You need to explain the chords

  • Your cover was great:) you have a lot of talent. thanks so much for this video! I love the Beatles! and i just barely started learning the electric and I found this very helpful:) definite thumbs up from me:)

  • booooo...ehemm...i mean YAAAAAAYYY!!!! :D!!!

  • Thanks for the help Marty! I've only recently started playing and this one of my favourite songs :)

  • thanks marty

  • i have a problem with this little "solo" at the end of the first verse. i cant play it so fast and its like anything but not that what i want to play can you give me a tip maybe?

    thanks;)

  • Excellent lesson,thanks.

  • WOOOOWWWW HHEEE GOOT SOMMEEE CHOORDDSS FFORR AN AAACCOUUSTTIC GUITAR TOOO!!!! T---T

  • Nice

  • you - are - god

  • @mikeysosnowski no john plays rhythm and george plays solo

  • @keiranbm USUALLY John plays rhythm and George plays solo/lead BUT in Get Back it's opposite: John solo/lead, George rhythm. Check out the Rooftop performance of Get Back if you want proof(:

  • @keiranbm

During a good amount of the production of this song, George had temporarily left the band so John had to work out the lead guitar parts. John plays the solo in this song as well as in the rooftop performance

  • does george play both guitar solo's? please reply

  • blows my mind

  • When they sing "Get Back" the A7 sounds off. Try an A form "C" chord over an A root which can be played on the A string. You'll find this more in line with what was on the album.

  • What the fuck. My guitar sounds nothing like this. It's tuned. Is it just really shitty?

  • stop at 13

  • marty! thank you so much!

  • thumbs up if you can hear a Skype sound at 06:44.

  • sorry marty you can play heart in cage solo by The Strokes

  • two thumbs up buddy ! he explains it just right .

  • he puts his ring finger on the same string?

  • hey marty how about doin t rex bang a gong?

If you're ever in So Cal, I'd sure like to take you and yours sailing (I'm a licensed captain with a 40' sailboat)...free, of course. Check me at Pirateboatchartersdotcom. • @TankScott13 OMG I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THEM TOO!

  • @TheMinaTank haha me 2!!!

  • @TankScott13 Look for Learn to play The Beatles DVDs there's tons of songs on them with lessons to play them ;)

  • and if I where a rhythm guitarist, should I bother to learn the lick?

  • @IamGruntled First: throw out the idea of rhythm/lead guitarist. It's detrimental to your learning. You're just a guitarist. You should aim to be proficient in playing both chords and single note melodic lines. This will expand the possibilities of your playing, and you'll always be able to add something while playing along with another guitarist who CAN'T play both ways.

Second: YES, you should learn the lick.

  • @PorcupineFloyd68 thanks for the help dud, appreciate it :)

  • can someone tell me if this is rhythm or lead?

  • T4teens.

Marty is referring to the chords the rhythm guitar player is playing. While those chords are being played, you will be doing what Marty describes. Hang in there it will start to make sense as you progress. Marty is a great teacher.

    Bill

  • as a beginner i dont understand what ur on about with all of the Gs and Ds...

  • @T4teens learn chords...

  • @T4teens thats probably the dumbest thing i have ever heard. how the fuck the u expect to be able to play music if u dont even understand the simplest possible thing about music which is the name of the notes!?!?! ur not gonna get to far if u dont take the time to actually learn atleast a minimal amount of music theory

  • @makaveli65 chill man give it a go its the best lesson out there.

May the Schwartz be with you.

  • @T4teens The "G's and Ds" you're prolly referring to are chords. You might wanna learn your basic open chords before you start learning songs like this. Open chords are a good place to start.

  • @T4teens

Go to Marty's guitarjamz website and sign up for his free ebook. It has all the basic info you'll need to start playing songs like this.

  • Ezer than I thought
