Pac-10 has been disrespected a lot. In 2000, 1 loss Florida State goes to the championship against Oklahoma despite losing to a 1 loss Miami who lost to a 1 loss Washington. In 2001, #4 Nebraska gets to the championship over #2 Oregon who killed #3 Colorado in the Fiesta Bowl that year. In 2003, at least USC got a part of the championship despite getting the royal screwover by the BCS.
