  • 0:22=the guy jizzed

  • Man, I love both of these players so much. There is the least amount of tension between these two, you can see them nod at each other at 0:31 as Takayoshi give Syu his turn. I love this battle more than any other.

  • syu winner!1

  • yo caxo que Syu le vuela la raja

  • ESP is the winner (:

  • Syu Owner

  • both of them won.. we don't want to see harakiri do we?

  • @speedybagal We dont do that not funny

  • Takayoshi Ohmura toca mas chingon

  • qe barbarooooooooooooooos!! xD

  • HIJOS DE SU PUTA MADRE

  • SYU Your fucking guitarrs have bad sound! D:

  • I'm a Syu fan, but on this occasion takayoshi wins...at 1:22 my jaw dropped

  • Is it easy? jaja

  • In my opinion,

Syu brings it all out and wins at 1:28 :D

  • Both were great but syu won that one, but i do agree syu shouldn't use his Wahh so much, but while watching this video over and over it looked like Tak. Missed some notes he was trying to play

  • Охуенно!!! :-)))

  • Takayoshi is much better.

The wah of syu sounds terrible

  • ok i need snakeskin cowboy boots right now

  • I have a VM <3.

  • Im not sure i like this vid. Takayoshi's my favorite, but i didnt really like it. Maybe its because the back track sucks. Oh, and syu is using the wah way too much, ive heard him play way better.

  • do ppl relize this isnt really a guitar battle its more of a jam

  • @Sweeper5 for your pleasure, the explorer-type guitar is called ESP Crying Star...

  • @EntilMattt1990 Which esp guitar does takayoshi use in this vid? idk much about guitar :(

  • @Uchiha3303 well i think he uses ESP SE Ohmura Custom "Red" in this video, type the guitar name in google and ull find his ESP artist page with a list of all his guitars.

  • @EntilMattt1990 o ty :) i'll search it now thx for the reply

  • damn just damn both great

  • first at 0:15, the beautiful sweet-spot feedback, you can feel the tension rise, but then at 0:19 "Release the BEAST!", look at that facial expression........... Priceless and Orgamsmic~~~

  • Comment removed

  • Yoshimura exhaust system!

  • Man, I wish I could figure out that fucking scale at :59 because it's beast as shit

  • las caras que hace el de negro jajajajajajajajajaj¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡(pero toca muy bien )

  • People should stop arguing about how one uses too much wah, bends better or how the other picks faster or throw faces. They're clearly great guitar players, with very different styles and influences. There's no "proper" technique. At this level, you play whatever the hell you want however you want. Just enjoy, and if you could pick a lick or two from the video, then you win.

  • @7Celvice Thats right.

  • @7Celvice HAHAHA RIGHT!

  • @7Celvice agree

  • @7Celvice Well stated my friend.

  • Syu does have more feelings...

  • @xboxdragondude Fair enough, I just feel that Syu's bending gives his playing a defined personality that sticks out and also helps with the feel IMO.

  • @xboxdragondude Yeah except you forget the part where Takayoshi is booooring. You know music is about expression and Syu has waaay more feeling than Takayoshi. All Takayoshi had was weird faces and "proper technique".

  • Syu is God

  • and pinky my ass you dont need to use your pinky to sound awsome

  • dood it dont matter who is better it mattrs how good they soundand i would say they shound like gods

  • I think, pentatonic wins... .-.

  • I know the Syu fellow uses a wah pedal n' such, but I really like his style / sound.

  • They both are good, but listen to Gentaro vs Syu when he start the solo here and the solo there its almost the same :S I like how Takayoshi feels the guitarplaying. :p

  • These two should make an collaboration together, what do you think guys?

They're jam was waaaaay more better than any pair that I saw in this DVD.

  • they both win!

  • the guy in pink uses wha ped the whole time.. wha is an effect to make what your playing sound better.. but they both wer awesome

  • @Musicmaker703 a wah doesn't change the notes you play, and the other guy sounds like he has on through his set up too just stuck at a diff. position or thru anFX unit

  • @skyxcomx i knew that, a wha dont change the notes. I didnt even say that... i said a wha is an effect to make you sound better. you ever take a trill and dont use a wah.. but when you use it, it sounds wicked.. Same thing with delay.

  • @Musicmaker703 the point i was making was syu did NOT sound better because of the wah ;) even though yeah the wah was on it still did not change the value of the stuff he played. and anyways they're both loaded with FX lol

  • Syu freaking sounds like kirk with that wah wah

  • Takayoshi's facial expressions weren't even that bad. You people need to look into Steve Vai!

  • @jhat25 lolll. even better bb king. he plays like 3 note and his face looks like a crumpled piece of paper

  • @jhat25 id prefer to look that bad to play that good

  • @jhat25 Stevie Ray Vaughn

  • @jhat25 lol

  • @jhat25 john mayer

  • @jhat25 better yet bb king lol

  • Syu sounds better. Plus he doesn't look like a herp derp while playing. 'Feeling it' should only go so far.

  • 0:57 !!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!! O_O

  • syu sounds very "zakk-wylde" :D

  • I like how syu uses the wah pedal as some sort of an expression pedal to his tone :) not just up and down wah-ing.

  • I hate how Syu has to use the wah excessively...

  • @JunyaYashiki that and that same down the neck run that he does in EVERYTHING. i dont think ive heard a single solo where he doesnt use wah and have that same run pattern.

  • @CaptainAshra You haven't heard much Syu stuff then. He's a very deep and talented guitarist. I agree he goes a bit overboard with the wah, but you're overexaggerating.

  • @eveningninja Ive been listening to him since the first Galneryus album came out, and when he took over guitar work in Animetal as well. from what i've heard over the years. his solo work is repetitive. You may be talking about his writing abilities, which is great and i enjoy listening to the songs he writes, but the moment the solo shows up, its either the down the neck run, wide sweeping, or heavy wah use.

  • @CaptainAshra Well, the way you phrase that: "the moment the solo shows up" makes it seem like that's all he does. He does do those things, but it's usually as a finish to a solo or something. For example, one of my favorites of his solos: "Deep Affection" (the second one at 5 minutes) I don't see how you can listen to that and say that all he does is descending runs, wide sweeping, and wah use. And also, you're now saying that in his solos he does ONE of those things...

  • @CaptainAshra ...which is different from your previous statement that he does all those things in every solo. I mostly agree that he does seem to pick at least one of those for every solo, but your argument just seems to be changing.

  • @eveningninja because my lack of giving a fuck about a youtube video increases as the days go by. after 4 days, i dont even remember my first statement. i have better things to do.

  • @CaptainAshra Clearly.

  • omg that other jap just embarrassed himself in front of syu

  • Syu wins in my opinion :D

  • agree, syu wins

  • wtf??? syu is clearly better why is everyone saying takayoshi?

  • @kunimaro15689 They're both very technically skilled, it mainly has to do with which style/phrasing you prefer.

  • @eveningninja true true. they are both good but syu seems to be more comfortable soloing over metal riffs but i tottally agree its a matter of opinion

  • @kunimaro15689 Negative. Takayoshi's more talented and the better player.

  • They Are Playing Like, They Are Having Trouble With Each Others...... Look At That Fu... Syu's Attitude..... He Is Not Cooperating, Although He Has Good Sound In Playing...

  • @Sushanz1 that's probably because the backing track sux lol

  • I find it funny that after they did the solo demonstration, Syu told Takayoshi "Now that's how you do it, kid."

  • 大村さんの音大好きです!

  • 残念だけどsyuのほうが鳴いてるわぁ

  • syu nuff said :D

  • Imagine those amps all at full volume...

  • I'm sorry to say this, considering Syu is one of my idols. But his performance in this vid just didn't reach up. And his tone lacks that warm feeling Takayoshi's tone got.

  • Both wins! They are equal in skill.

  • They are equal in skill!

  • The little feminine guy in the pink shirt wins the ugliest guitar competition, and the other guy wins best virgin face...

  • the more i watch this, the more depressed i feel. I mean i started guitar 2 years ago and it hurts to know that these guys are (1000000 to the power of 1000000) better than me....and not internationally recognised.

So wat sense it makes having a carrer in music ??

my music dreams have been shattered :(

  • @markmorris1993 Keep in mind that Mozart and Paganini died BROKE!!.It's not about the money

it's about dedication to your craft. Guys like Malmsteen,Vai and Satriani will be listened to 100 years

    from now.They know that!!

  • @AnnaAnnaYes disclude yingwei and ide agree

  • @crisDAwog What is wrong with Yngwie??

  • @AnnaAnnaYes dude vai and satch are in a diferent leauge musically all yingwei plays is play harmonic minor and dimished scales....it gets extremly overused dull he need too expand his horizons a little and dabble in some other genres diversity is something he lacks

  • @crisDAwog You sound like my brothers calling me "Dude"(i'm a female).Actually. Yngwie's early 90's

excursions(Eclipse,Fire and Ice,The Seventh Sign) were quite unique.

  • @crisDAwog Excuse me for calling you dude didnt think you'd be a girl no sexism intended im actually glad that a girl would listen to this genre of music. The one thing i like about yingwei is his melody dont get me wrong i love evil eye black star ill see the light tonight etc. but for me too be an exceptional guitarist requires you are more diverse in what you play.

  • @markmorris1993 Keep in mind that Music is not something that you should always rely on that will make you money. Music is not competition. These guitarists should be more of a motivation/inspiration to keep you practicing on guitar or to at least pick it up. You play/practice guitar because you love/like it. PERIOD.

  • after reading the comments i wonder how many viewers know which is which when they're making their judgement calls on the winner

  • I think Syu won this one. And just throwing this out there, Syu's guitar has way more versatility than Takayoshi's.

  • @HolyGK eh..... Left and then right buddy. : )

  • No way Syu whatyamcallit won by a good distance. The crue meister on the left had too many fails amped out. But I guess the real winners are ESP and Marahall amps : )

  • they both won, in differint ways, because syu is better at shreding, and takayoshi is better at improvisational jazz kindof music!

  • really i thik tha syu its beater because is the best japanese guitarrist the fastest an it put beatter fealling on the music

  • Good thing they had 6 Marshall full stacks (none of them plugged in) for this LOL!

  • whats the guitar syu's using??? and is it edg III tremolo??? god i'd love to use a guitar like that....

  • LMAO! i like how when they stop its as if they didn't just turn into guitar gods and shed some beastly solos! lol

  • lol which one is takayoshi and whch one is syu ?

  • @HolyGK sy was the right guy

  • I seriously thought the guy in the left was a chick... He's still pretty :)

  • Why do asian guitarists dress and act like lame anime characters. there like 100lbs soak and wet haha

  • @marcusishardcore because they're cooler than you

  • Damn, these guys are both pretty spectacular. The guy with the black explorer-type guitar sounds like he's playing through a wah half-cocked, ala Michael Schenker. Hot playing from both. Geez, how could you decide who is better? With players at this level it becomes a matter of personal taste i would think.

  • @Sweeper5 i think hes mainly using it so that he doesn't have to always hit the toggle switch.

  • Syu mastered the shred bit imo

  • ok one fact for sure.....syu win....ok settle...

  • just me, or is this a terrible backing track? XD

  • Takayoshi's face turns me on. Fffffffffffffffffff.

  • takayoshi sounds like yngwie , he even has scalloped frets like blackmore and yngwie

  • that was sick.

  • pussy using wah wah

  • @CrushedJustice Whats wrong with it?

  • @metalfoxkid12345 cheap way to sound good

  • @CrushedJustice hhaha.. all it matter is to sound good ryt? they didn't say they cant use wah ryt?

  • @metalfoxkid12345 idk if u play guitar or not but when we look at guitar duals or when we guitar dual we go for skill and sound I mean with wah you can sound godly without using much skill so...

  • @CrushedJustice Haha. True.. sound and skills is important alright. No offense to you man but just cos syu used a wah doesn't make him a pussy.. different people have different preferences. Takayoshi prefers without effects. Syu prefers to use wah. Moreover, to use wah that nicely also need skills, you agree with that right? Skills aren't just on the fretboard, it is also on how you manipulate your sound.

And yes.. i do play guitar. Which is why i am on this video in the 1st place. =)

  • @metalfoxkid12345 i agree. this is a side thing im a big metallica fan but kirk hammet relys on wah way to much making solos with wahs sound kind of boring to me

  • @CrushedJustice HAHAHA.. i can understand now why u r so against using wah!! xD

  • 0:59 Star Power

  • @Km71000 Yep Syu told Ohmura "This is how you do it kid"

  • Absolutely syu wins, his face remained expressionless as ohmura's suffering and pain could be read

  • Syu Wins!

  • is there anything asians can't do?!?!?!

  • @thebodombeachterror8 Pick Cockles

  • i prefer syu's style, he really feels his music and the best part is he can play fast and you feel all that emotions.

  • I think Syu wins here, this backing track is just not Takayoshi's style.

  • @DylanGuitar148 I dunno, I think Ohmura handled it pretty darned well, but Syu had more fire in his playing where Taka tries to focus more on dynamics. Both did extremely well in what they were trying to put emphasis on.

  • ONLY JAPANS!!! AWESOME NATION!!!

  • Syu wins!!!!!!!

by the way does anyone know what kind of pedals he uses to get his tone?

  • @UNKNOWN51360 sounds like he played through a wah pedal

  • Ohmura has to do something about that terrible tone.

  • Takayoshi win hands down bitches

  • @TheSwisha420 you cant even match these guitarist together there totally different

  • Takayoshi wins the face making contest. : D

  • @SpectralUltra i don't think so ....

  • 24 people got nutted on lol

  • 24 people don't know how to play guitar ! lol

  • Nobody fucking wins. They are just playing guitar together and having fun man. Why do they have to be judged? They are both freakin impossible.

  • Takayoshi wins!!!!!

he doesn't need effects to have a killer sound :D

  • 1:14- 1:27 syu just got raped

  • they're both great though i like takayoshi's tone better

  • I wanna his boot s :D they rock'n but very great jaming :D

  • couldn't takayoshi wear any tighter pants? lol

  • THEY ARE BOTH EQUAL!

  • Takayoshi's playing shows great technique and a lot of control. However, Syu seems to hit the more pleasant sounding phrases. They're both amazing players in their own right!

  • lol so awkward after wards.

  • Ready! Fight! Arigato!

  • Ahhh, they should add buckethead in the mix...

  • @Rzrjo "1 bad apple ruins the whole damn bunch"

  • you can hear a lot of their band's solos in this. i don't particularly like this one. the other vid on here is way better.

  • good played

  • any one know the name of the backing track?

  • My ears just have been raped in the awesomest of ways *-*

  • Lmao if you look at how the intensity increases and how they seem to almost cut eachother off, by the end it seems like you've just listened to two very angry guitars argue with eachother! O.O

  • i think takayoshi has a better tone than syu, takayoshis tone is much warmer

  • @GuitarLuf it's the strat lol

  • @trxspirit actually its a ESP snapper i've heard..
