  • When it went from 1989 to 1990 I rang in the new year watching the arsenio hall show. I was in 8th grade. I still have a photo (35 mm film of course) of me taking a snapshot of the TV the moment it turned 1990.

  • @reymatt76 Heh I got vids of those days too...lots of VHS of New Year's Eves etc;

  • i need to watch this show in full...i remember sneaking down to the living room at night and seeing my parents watching this show

  • late nite T.V. will neva b da same without you Arsenio u were 1 of da best late nite host....

  • He was the the black Johnny Carson back then. He attracted more audiences. He was fun to watch. Arsenio Hall Show was the place for brand new artists to perform for naatiional media attention. My friend was one of those artists at that time.

  • Arsenio Hall is the king of the fist pump...not those nigger wannabees on Jersey Shore.

  • was this what burton did before he did the game show circuit? wow! and arsenio had an interview with one of my fave stars back in the 90's! starr ftw!

  • This is so funny!... I mean, I haven't seen Arsenio Hall's show in years!... And what makes me laugh the most, is remembering Keenan Ivory Wayans imitating Arsenio, and what sticks out the most is Keenan's index finger, just like Arsenio... look at Arsenio's index finger... Man, that is hilarious! =)

  • damn keenan ivory wayans had this nigga down to a T

  • I liked the Arsenio Hall Show. However, I am glad it's off the air, because the show got too niggery towards the end.

  • Gotta love that announcer at the end: "It's Arrrrrseniooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HALL!!!!

  • what ever happen to the posse and the beautiful star? (the girl in the keyboard)

  • This is better than Ellen!

  • HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO!!!! :-)

  • Arsenio Hall: originator of the fist pump.

  • Man I miss those days! I remember when Vanilla Ice got REAMED,lol! And to this day certain people on youtube can't understand why? "Arsenio is a racist".....nope. Race had NOTHING to do with it. I may like Ice as a person but me being a hip hop PURIST he was a 100% FRAUD! Arsenio called bullshit and to this day I'll back Big A up on that each and everytime. Race had nothing to do with it because at that time you had 3rd Bass with much RESPECT!

  • What i would give to be a teenager or a college kid back in the late 80s / early 90s! Arsenio Hall, Married with Children, Double Dare, and Ren and Stimpy on TV, hot 'valley girls' all around the mall, the golden age of MTV - DAMN, you guys had it all!!!

That said, i have no problem with my present generation :)

  • @zarkbot88 Yeah those were the days lol!

  • @panamaniak

Those were the golden days. This was the stuff when I was a child. This was when I HATED having to go to bed early to get up early just before sunrise the next morning to get ready for school. I was ALL About Getting Busy with

The Arsenio Hall Show for me. Now, Late Night TV has gone a bit dull.

  • jesus the studip public is amazing

  • The BEST talk show EVER!

  • Announcer Burton Richardson: "It's ARSENIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • Arsenio was a great host with a great show. His career at the late night circuit was really taking off, but he made the deadly mistake of having Farrakhan on his show. Once he did this, he was targeted for elimination from the late night talk show circuit. It is a pity that Fox News felt they had to bow down to outside pressure to end his show, he was doing damn good. That is the nature of the beast. Since Arsenio was forced to leave, there has been no one who could take his place.

  • Back in the Golden Age of tv, when sitcoms actually had writers, there was a define line between family shows and adult shows, no such thing as reality TV, late night was politically incorrect, and even the cartoons were entertaining for both grown ups and children.

Now everything is gay, a gay cop drama, or middle-aged haggish women trying to be "tough" and "sexy".

Damn shame what has happened to popular media, damn shame...

  • pre-internet days were the best. i miss the 90s so bad. everything about entertainment was much much better. tv, music, movies were all better than now days. I remember when i was 5 years old, me and my uncle would always do the finger touch thing arsenio always did with the musician dude.

  • Damn, I want the 90s back.

  • Burton Richardson at his absolute best! Man I miss this.

  • Conan should've taken this show over when Arsenio stepped down. At least Arsenio wouldn't have stolen the show back like Leno did to the Tonight Show a few months ago.

  • @johnissoevil I don't understand this fixation on Conan. The guy is a 2nd rate comedian and 3rd rate host. The guy was collecting millions just to walk away from the job and he still acted like a baby. All that situation amounted to was a transaction between 2 rich guys and one very rich guy. Nobody got ripped off. Both Leno and Conan lost ratings after Conan got promoted, so that's how business works. No stealing involved. It's business.

  • @surfer53 Conan was given only 7 months compared to Leno having been given alot more time in the early 90s. In fact, Leno shouldn't have even been hired to host The Tonight Show when Carson retired in the first place, that spot was meant for Letterman.

  • @johnissoevil If Leno's ratings were as bad as Conans in the early days, you have a good point. In the end, that's what it comes down to. People making this a personal issue is exactly the reason the US economy is in the mess it's in.

  • @surfer53 Don't talk that way about Conan. If you want to talk about a third-rate host, talk about Dave Letterman or Jimmy Fallon.

  • @FutureNewsAnchor LOL...You may have a point there. Letterman...he of let's pretend he wasn't making sexual connotations about Sarah Palin's 15 year old daughter. Whatever you think about her, what kind of a creep does that? Who does he think he is? R Kelly?

  • Damn, I miss the Arsenio Hall Show. It's a shame that that stupid fraud Dr. Phil and his show now occupies Arsenio's old soundstage.

  • @ShawnieMac also known as Dr. Quack (because that's what Dr. Phil is: a mustachioed quack who's known for riding on Oprah's coat tails)

  • @ShawnieMac I always liked those ones where they said something about what the people over in the section of the audience are like @ 2:21 I swear if the time machine is ever invented I'm going back to sometime in the 80's and telling the 2000's see ya never with my back turned and 1 finger up and for those that want to come with can join me I'm so bringing the TIVO and digital cam though

  • @ShawnieMac omg i didnt kno that...wow

  • @ShawnieMac I'm sure in 20 years, someone will be watching a Dr. Phil clip on YouTube and make the comment "I miss the good ol' days when Dr. Phil ruled the airwaves, now that no-talent such and such is filming on the same sound stage."

  • @ShawnieMac Can't blame Dr. Phil...though it's a decent show Arsenio should come back;

  • The energy in that studio every night was AMAZING!
