I don't think her answers are generic. She's being honest. She picked the clips because she liked them and admits this. Can you see another pop star answering the questions? "The clips represent the human struggle!" Lana isn't shooting out bullshit.
You know what I see wrong in these comments...? It seems like a lot of people are comparing her to girls who like to conform. The bimbos with the makeup up, the nails...the hollowness....no depth...etc.... When in all reality, Lana is the exact opposite. If you couldn't tell this by her raw emotion-filled songs and lyrics...then you have a lot more research to do. She is a very layered and sensitive person, and you can when you learn more and more about her. She is a never-ending captivation.

What I dont get is WHY people care if an artist is "manufactured"... the only person that should care about being controlled is the artist themselves. The second you insult someone is the second that others ignore all the other words you have to say. Get it? As for not carin if an artist is manufactured, that is up to the individual. It doesn't matter that 'the greatest singers who have ever lived were not manufactured' because they aren't in this video nor do they appear at Lana Del Ray's concerts. If you like the music, that is what matters

Whoever thinks she's a fake needs to get their head out of their ass. She lived in a fricken trailer park, couldn't afford cereal. Just because she doesn't go 'Oh I won't wear makeup' doesn't mean she's fake, she's stunning and she /has/ got a good voice despite the SNL controversey, which means nothing to me since I'm English anyway. But seriously, stop hating on the girl, she's got feelings too, and has probably made more money in the last week then you will in your lifetime.
