Who would have thought that the point guard who dribbled into his own player coming up the floor could ever play on the same court as the rest of those studs
@rjschofield34 No, he didn't and that's exactly why his next year was considered his rookie season because he hadn't played. Either way I believe he would have won it no matter what season he played because he's a phenonminal athlete and he works hard at what he does. What year his true rookie season was has little to no effect on how great his career is for him, so.
GREAT video here!! It's interesting how this AAU game from 2005 may produce 3 dominant pros, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin in the NBA and Sam Bradford in the NFL!! Ty Lawson will also have a long NBA career. I know the D.C.Blue Devils was an elite AAU team at that time, but how good was B.Griffin's AAU team? Was B.Griffin(a rising junior) considered an elite player at this point?
celticsfan and atrickplay, Sam Bradford is #22 in white and Ty Lawson is #1 in black(DCBD)
miss the aau days

Who knew both Sam and Blake would win the Naismith/Heisman, become pro athletes taken 1st round 1st pick and win rookie of the year. That's crazy.

are you sure that's Ty Lawson? His wiki page doesn't list him playing for D.C. Blue Devils. Also his head doesn't look it's him to me.

@theoberman i'm not saying he is the best outta these players, clearly he isn't. but i'm saying in this one game, he really played phenomenally

@UNCtarheelvids
I'd say him and KD played equally well. Ty is a beast though, its just too bad he's on the nuggets.
theoberman 1 year ago
@theoberman yeah. he will get his time though. he had a great rookie season backing up chauncey. just a matter of time till he's the starter.
