  • Without me! Society crazy

  • Katz's instrumental in the video responses sounds great, check him out , recommended

  • Fuck. What a song. I like it so much, but its so hard for me to get through it. Too emotional.

  • @babylonkid Ed's good at that, eh?

  • @tookurjaerbs More than id like to admit. "they tookerder!" South Park and Pearl Jam. Thats my heaven. And fine ass women of course.

  • Awesome !

  • This movie and all the music in it gives me great inspiration to change things, A couple of days a month i take a walk in the forest with the soundtrack and just listen to the words. They mean something. I really believe that it´s bad for people who just keep spinning in the same wheel, Work, Study, Cafés, Shopping etc.. There´s a big world out there who got so much to offer us! Peace & love from Stockholm, Sweden.

  • I like Pearl jam/ eddie vedder

    I like the movie,

    I like the cd

    I like that book

For my is it the best movie and cd that ever made

  • That movie sucks, and that book sucks, because that dude is an IDIOT. All he is is some fool who broke his mom's heart and didn't have the brains to prepare properly to live in the wilderness. Period. It bugs me so much that people think he's some kind of hero! And seriously, I get it. I get the message and the meaning. I just think McCandless is a really bad representative for showing what's wrong with society. HOWEVER, Eddie Vedder is AMAZING, and I love that soundtrack!

  • @Alli8833 I think people like him, because in contrast to the rest and all of us here, he had BALLS to follow his dreams, and he was not scared to do it.

  • @EVBVL Well, if he'd actually bothered to find out what it actually takes to survive in the Alaskan wilderness instead of just keeping his head and dream up his ass, he probably would have been scared and stayed home and lived. Maybe could have lived like a hippy in the desert instead of dying like an idiot in Alaska.

  • @Alli8833 Well, looks like he didn't care about death and stuff like that. Maybe he experienced more than anyone we know through these four months alone... Anyway, people seem to like this guy, even if one considers him an idiot.

  • Money is an illusion used as a method of social control, it is unnecessary, creates inequality and grinds us down, compromising our freedom of movement, and for many, freedom of a good quality of life. Let us all unite with nature, and live our lives in peace and unity with each other.

  • @tatanmash Many sceptics will argue that the idea of an anarchic society is unrealistic, and would simply create a dog eat dog, survival of the fittest social system. However, we've seen over the last year (Occupy Movement, anti-capitalism etc.) that people can unite for a common cause, so are people really that naturally greedy, selfish etc. ?

  • @tatanmash People have been uniting for a common cause for thousands of years... what does that have to do with anarchic societies?

  • @tatanmash Those movements are not examples of an anarchic society....

  • @tatanmash (A) Money is a tool which enables efficient trading of goods and resources. (B) do you have any resources to support your (according to my current understanding of the world) ludicrous claims? (C) What do you mean unite with nature? What would unity with nature entail?

  • Martial Arts Confrontation - Konfrontacja sztuk walki - KSW :)

  • The part I hate, I'm just not man enough to go through with it. Not yet anyway.

  • @MrBartSampson Yeah, man, me too... But if its meant to be, it'll happen eventually.

  • because when you have more than you think you need more space...

Eddie Vedder - Society - Surfing Fiji HD

    ----> watch?v=h4b8-0tyalA

  • I love this song, it has an immense amount of meaning and real life messages within it. It's easy to point fingers and blame others for why our world runs the way it does and the course in which it will pursue in the future. And it's our choice if we wish to partake and continue this lifestyle of greed or a lifestyle based on real happiness. Happiness is only real when shared; if we cannot share fairly with other living things and mother earth, then we can never truly be completely happy

  • I hear VEdder since the 90´s and even when i agree what Krafty have to say about us listening the music but, eventually returnin´to our regular-no risky-consumist life, i have to say that i cannot stop feelin´more alive after the experience of listenin´this man.

  • <3

  • Polska !!

  • Damn! what is wrong with me? I just can't stop thinking of this movie.Every single day, every day no matter what I do...I just can't get out of my head.2007...2012 every day...do you guys think that I should get some help? I don't know...some medical treatment or something?

p.s. Jack London's White fang is amazing novel

anyway...should I stay or should I go now?

  • @TheUncleArgyle You should make your own road

  • @TheUncleArgyle yeah man if you think you are ready for it do it and just... live if you have not stopped thinking about it just go and think of where you go and who else wont be able to see that thats all i gotta say.

  • I want this played at my funeral. Then some Cannibal Corpse when they come to see me in my Box.

  • Eddie V. is the man.

  • that movie changed my life. :)

  • GREAT SONG, GREAT MOVIE

  • He lived his his parent's dream, their parent's lived their dream. I'm sure he wanted to see his parent's, and sister again he just didn't make it. I do feel bad for his parent's loss but atleast he did what he wanted. more than I can say for myself.

  • I think u all read into this movie to much. Let me see you do what he did...lol...He had a dream. So it was not his parent's, his own dream. I give him credit.

  • We made this society, we made this virus. So let's change it, we have the power to change it.

Help me. Do it for us and the next generation.

  • Happy 47th to one of the great spokesmen of my generation.....!!/

  • Happy Birthday Eddie vedder.....

  • rather than abandon society i would wish rather to dip in and out at my own will...

  • Society Ruined many alike... This song shaped many's life some unfolded some unturned some lost with the pace, but one thing for sure they all were some best people out of this world and up above this Fucking SOCIETY!!

  • I'm sorry. ToT

  • Sergie ?! Can u see this? It's YOMI!!!!

  • You know this song explains soo well why all those climate conventions fail every time!! Countries don't want to bind themselves on CO2-reductions cuz it would hamper their economic growth prospects. But why is everybody so fricking obsessed with economic growth!!?? What's wrong with not growing anymore? Aren't we already rich enough!!

    Society, I disagree!

  • Creo que es el mejor cantante de la actualidad. Por lo que transmite con la voz. F..k you Guetta y Pitbull

  • Buen tema

  • This movie describes my soul!

  • @8679justin Hey man just feel like you!

And I'm going to life my dream! Just like Supertramp did!

And fuck everyone who doubts me!

    I hate society!

    Btw, Where you from?

  • This movie really inspired me so much. And I love this song, because in a sense it's so true. I know that's my opinion on the fact that it's true, but I just find that this describes flaws of society well.

  • Like it .

  • KSW

  • @SyberQo Shortcut for?

  • @Zanazuah

keeping scientology working, the fucking nut

  • Thank God there are still remarkable movies. Society you are a crazy breed.

  • anyone wish to do this with me?

  • @andrewdiazrecurt Yeah, I am 15 right now. You willing to wait 3 years?

I've been planing this out in my head for a little over 2 years now.

  • @MrJrdify Unfortunately, Ive been playing the waiting game myself for the past 3 years. I am leaving June 1 of next year, since ill be 18 by then.

  • i'm having a hard time and ifeel like lost every thing :'( 70% of this feeling is because of the society that never understood me or the meening of sccess iwich i can run away

  • This song is just amazing, along with the movie. Society, I hope you're not lonely, without me.

  • best of

  • "The only Zen you find on the tops of mountains in the Zen you bring up there"........Robert Pirsig

  • @azcoueshntr You ever been to the top of a mountain?

  • I still can't belive that this song is so awesome.

  • @UnijaLudaka97 Believe it! It's all TRUE, If you haven't done so yet, definitely see the film, Into the Wild - I think you will love it.

  • I found this song recently by the finnish artist Elias Hämäläinen singing it at the Bar Iguana Helsinki. The song is really relevat at this time, also in Finland. Elias seems to bee Eddie Vedder’s soul-mate. Elias singing this song as well as Eddie is bringing tears on my eyes, so touching are their performances and the song. Also Elias’s performance can be found at YouTube (youtube.com/watch?v=5-hnorwcctE). I love it.

  • Never has this song been more relevant. Occupy Everywhere! Take back this planet from the corrupt politicians and greedy corporations that are destroying it.

  • @KraftyKris1 fuck off and don't try to corrupt good music with your bullshit politics.

  • @halfbakedc00kie Thanks for your comment but I think great music has meaning and the lyrics should be talked about and inspire debate. If you just want to listen to it then do that, you don't have to read other peoples comments.

  • @KraftyKris1 You completely miss the point of the song. The Occupy Movement is a society. The man from the film was alone, hence no society. Don't politicize the song.

  • @coolbro1989 Actually the song talks about a need for greed which I think is evident in companies profit over everything else policy, the guy in the film also talks about not wanting things he doesn't need (money & extra car). I think he does have a problem with society in general but he also realises at the end that happiness is nothing if it is not shared, I think sharing would involve some sort of society so our society needs to change not disappear. Just my opinion.

  • @KraftyKris1

how ? that's the fucking question.. everybody are so stuck in to politics and metirialistic shyitty idea , they just cant let go of it .once pepole let go . start becoming a better pepole . we wont need politics , we wont need money , we wont need anything but each other .. but i belive that will remain a dream for now .

let's hope pepole realize how they live , and start raising the sterngh in order to change it !

  • @KraftyKris1 Look for Modern Money Theory ;)

  • @KraftyKris1 watch?v=WJIuYgIvKsc

  • @KraftyKris1 Shut up, man. Stop trying to turn life into a film. The government isn't corrupt or malicious, it's very normal and boring. Welcome to the real world.

  • @ShadowWolfofPack Agreed 100000% Finally someone who doesn't twist an awesome song...

  • @ShadowWolfofPack I don't think the government is malicious. I do think it is corrupt. Companies pour millions of dollars into political campaigns and I don't think they do this out of good will, they expect something back and they seem to be getting it.

  • @KraftyKris1 What a ridiculous interpretation of this song. Greedy corpations are only supplying what we demand.

  • @Bannedparty Well I don't demand that corporations outsource labor and exploit 3rd world countries, in fact the opposite is true, I wish they didn't. I have a problem with society and I am expressing it. And I don't think there is enough space for us all to live in a world without society so I feel we have to change society not abandon it.

  • @Bannedparty Perhaps the corps just teached us to demand...

  • @Bannedparty thank you dude... protesing is so pointless you desicrate a city and you get nothing out of it but hurt people and cops getting in trouble by only showing the bad things that they do.

  • @TheIzach123 If you're talking about the Occupy Wallstreet movement then something good did come out of it. It made class warfare a very important topic in debates for our presidential candidates, and most likely they will have to do something about it since many Americans demand it.

  • @Harbinger10892 Class warfare sounds a bit communist. Surely the most important thing today, it maintaining our national identity.

  • @ncollier1 No the most important thing today, in a million years or a million years ago is to love life and let everyone else in the world have an equal oppurtinity at loving years. 'Maintaining our national identity', you make me sick.

  • @ali26101 I agree with you about loving life. But "Equality", diversity, immigration, welfare state etc. are part of cultural Marxism which is destroying our society, and even controlling peoples thought and speech. (I am British by the way). The majority of the people I know would agree and want the politicians to end this cultural Marxism, and fast!

  • @Bannedparty If it were like that greedy corporations wouldn't need to spend billions in advertising. Ads are used to convince people to demand things they don't actually need. Learn something about Edward Barnays the father of public relations which, among other things, got women to smoke when it was a taboo.

  • @KraftyKris1 what makes it your's, why are you entitled to it, what have you done for your country.

  • @mryaris1981 I live in it. What makes it more someone's than anyone else? For my country I have paid taxes and tried to be as economical & energy efficient as possible without wasting anything or burdening future generations. I never said it was mine, I said it was ours. We all have a right to the world we live in, I'd like to know why you think I have less of a right than you or anyone else.

  • @KraftyKris1 I'm not sure if this is greedy corporations, so much as the way we live, with "more than we need", like in the movie Chris McCandless leave our society of material things for one for nature, and the sheer enjoyment of life. This song, does make a great soundtrack to an amazing movie, so I won't ponder this for too long, and just hear this music!

  • @KraftyKris1 It is an absolut absurdity to point out and appoint the so "chanting" leading "elite" for being the culprit to all society problems, not to mention the notorious "global warming" makers..it says clearley in the song "we have a greed, to wich we have agreed" and you my friend are typing this on a keyboard, made of "enviorment abnormal" material and using nature to make your statetment globaly visible. My human brother we are a part of the same society as the "corrup" you talk of.

  • @markobegus I'm sorry but companies do way more damage to this world than a single person could ever do. I don't think companies are to blame for everything but I do think they are to blame for more things than most. We are raping this planet and soon there will be nothing left. We have the technology to be green and more energy efficient but oil extracting companies have patented absurd amounts of green technology in order to make greater profits from oil.

  • @KraftyKris1 Who uses that oil? If every person in the world stopped using it, would they still drill for it? We are the cause for two reasons. First, we allow them to do it, we provide them with the want for it. The more important reason in my eyes; we've accepted the comfort of an easy life. For all we're worth, we just aren't strong enough to live how we were meant to anymore. We're lazy, weak, and worst of all arrogant. I'm generalizing obviously.

  • @MrBartSampson Over the past couple hundred years humanity has made huge progress through the sweat of our brow. From scientists devoting their life to study the natural world, to engineers, to the common worker humanity has worked to bring ourselves the this point. Our comfortable lifestyle is a testimony to our perseverance, ingenuity.

  • @FTR01 Over those past couple hundred years humanity has also pushed the limits of sustainability. At this rate, the world can not and will not allow us to continue living the way we have recently been doing. Yes, our ability to conquer and mold the world around us is amazing. But our overwhelming lack of concern for what we are doing is even more so. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I don't believe the majority would trade the security of what we have created for the betterment of our planet.

  • @MrBartSampson A) Life on our plant has adapted constantly for millions of years; indeed it has survived cataclysmic events such as meteor strikes, volcanos. Do you think the planet pre-man was some kind of utopia? We are changing many things in our world, but of course that is obvious based on the principle "every action has a reaction". And whatever devastating repercussions our actions might have on ecosystems, it is those species who can adapt to these new conditions which will continue life.

  • I just want to give everyone a free replay boton. woot a song, 0:00

  • Just listened to "Crazy" by Steve Katz" in the video responses, I enjoyed him very much...

  • 85 People never watched the movie

  • @TheVivalarevolucione exactly...

  • the most incridible song in the world ! more better than all hip hop reggae electro and all other music !

  • Fuck society

  • @Vagner3748

Ya'll stupid! That dumb shit ran his whole life so he wouldn't have to conform to societal norms and in the end....everything he ran from he needed!

  • " Into the deserts and wild places go the prophets and the seers, not to escape from reality, but to find it. They know that when everything else has been stripped away from them, whomever remains is the real person. "

  • People fail to see past the veil that's society... which leaves them blind to the world around them and sometimes too blind to appreciate life in general. These amazing lyrics help mark a point of view that needs recognition. But people are blind, and they will only continue to worsen. Those of us with level-heads, and the ability to see through societys veil are forced to cope with it, by it's monetary and legal restrictions. society, you'e a crazy breed. hope youre not lonely, without me.

  • @A7X027 amen

  • @A7X027 I love nature as well but you're short sighted. Cities are a good thing if managed well. What would happen to nature if everyone had five acres in the country? Sprawl right..which is bad. So if the problem is too many people then what do you want to do, have a government mandate that limits your freedom to have as many kids as you want, or would you wish death upon millions of innocent men, women and children? If you take the problems seriously you need to have a serious solution.

  • @SuperMonkeyballzz Im making a non conclusive point...Obviously there is nothing we can do about it because of the size of our population...but im not short sighted. Problem is that our cities arent magnaged well, our government herds us like sheep, we focus on our wants when we should be focusing on needs and people are breeding for all the wrong reasons. War,greed and money are running our world. People need to live together not against one another.

  • @A7X027 Some cities are beautiful and vibrant though. I live in San Francisco, it's an amazing place.

  • @A7X027 and yet you are sitting in front of computer...

  • @A7X027 You shouldn't be so discontented with the world that it makes you metaphorically ill, I don't think you've ever been to foreign places, but they live very happily in a community with others and the goal is not to have a complete disconnection with people, it's to be one entity. To communicate - something we've forgotten, you see this world will never progress until everyone agrees to work together. And consider their selves... Only human. The world is a small place, we can change it.

  • I like this song, but it's popularity is kinda sad. It says to me that everyone IN society feels like they're somehow separate from and superior to it.

  • Brilliant movie, brilliant song.

  • Am I the only one who thinks Eddie's vocals better than Chris Cornell's?

    Just a matter of opinion...

  • Bankers need to listen to this

  • Much credit to Jerry Hannan who wrote this beautiful and poignant song. These lyrics are timeless. Eddie does a fantastic cover and Jerry's original version is also wonderful.

  • society - you find yourself in a job that doesn't want you, that is unable to make a connection to you and doesn't provide fulfilment. Relationships, adventure, culture, connection, intelligence & love is ideal and wholesome, materialism is not. Wake up an realise the deepest, most meaningful things in this world are outside of our society. we hurt, we destroy, and we're scared because society does not provide us with comfort, it provokes us to disturb one another...and so the plague continues

  • Run awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! :D

  • if the end of this movie didnt make you cry you dont have a pulse

  • i hate society but at the same time im very lonely

  • @parkerboggs89 join the club. I'd love to go live in a cabin in woods but would last about 3 minutes :)

  • does that make me a "caveman struggling to get out but stuck in the society" to watch "into the wild" twice in a row without any break??

  • best movie ever.

    en güzel film

  • awesome i can relate to him......smtimes u feel society is not ur type.....

  • has anyone found society in america full of hatred, prejudice, arrogance, ignorance, manipulation, materialism, and shallowness? I could go on and on. people are almost losing contact with reality as subjects of the media.

Farenheit 451 could easily happen soon, and is almost happening right now. The problem is so many people would just deny this. If i went to my school and asked people, they would deny it. This is how Nazi Germany happened, damnit. ignorance..

  • @guitarmatt94 it's not just in america, I'm afraid, even the so-called superpower China is also now starting to be like this...makes you wonder what materialism & consumerism lifestyle can do to you, as society progressed.

Things need to change, before everything's too late.

but then again, humans usually learn the best, ironically, from the worst tragedy, to shake them out of apathy (quote from Batman Begins).

  • @nikiwonoto sorry I mean "the next predicted superpower" ie: China.

    and I'm Chinese, btw.

  • @guitarmatt94 not in America only, buddy... i'm italian and i well know what prejudice, ignorance, shallowness and manipulation is. Everyone here is hating on immigrants, everyone REJECTS you if you have different ideas from theirs and everyone only trusts what newspapers say. It's incredibly sad, i would really like to leave this corrupted place. Peace man, and please forgive me if i made any spelling mistakes :)
