I just had this done myself, dentist wants me back once a year for a cleaning it's not bad it actually feels really good, she even let me help with the sucking hose they stick in your mouth it was rather fun actually.

how long should deep cleaning take? my HMO dentist said that the hygienist can do 4 quadrants in 40-60 minutes and local anesthetic isn't needed.. is this realistic or are they trying to be sneaky?

Ummmm a deep cleaning actually might take an hour and thirty I just had mine done today, you might be slightly sore afterwards but that's to be expected but believe me you'll feel great afterwards. And they actually need the anesthetic on very sensitive teeth. My dentist used a gel on most of my teeth but trust me it's not bad at all he/she will even brush your teeth and floss for you afterwards.

Dr. I have done a deep cleaning for more then a month and my teeth become very sensitive to cold , hot , and even when I breath . the true I feel worse than the day a wnt to see to the Dentist, He said this will past over time and I'm using sensitive toot paste , is anything I should do in order to feel better ? please I will appreciate your advice. (they can make teeth agian and they also know that,they just want to keep ripping people off)think about it they put mercury in our heads!!!and flouride in our toothpaste>its beyond me.and i have to stand up this is wrong so many people have the same stroies and i bet relatively the ppl with that cannot affors private health funds,,its discgraceful and someone needs to put a stop to it.

making out 3time bshit.they get away with making you feel inferior sby themei education or them making out your mouths unclean,,yet ive seen photos of teeth that are absolutley discusting (not the cases we see in everyday life and i agree those ones need help,but for the rest of us,,its all lies..thats why they say only see 1 dentist cos they all have a different bs to tell ..they can graft your teeth with bone

the one that was capped may need root canal(his cst0cos of the "trauma "its been under"but its rare 5percent ppl have thta! that wasnt said prior, ,yet he didnt care less about the one that i had to have pulled,or the other one beside now loose,,t the front,they tell you you are in control yet your not,,becasue then they belittle you trying to make out your not clean in your mouth its their way to make you feel dirty i told them i brush em not 3 times a day once and floss weekly,no

were like that<i rememebred thnking a swollen foot goes back to its original size! then has the audasity to say well plaque was holding them, where the gum shrank on3 teeth are loose,y dont they tell you this b4hand,cos they know you wouldnt get it done,again by all means if you have money &lots of iit to keep fixing the ongoing problems,now i have uneven gum line more tooth looking(changes the look of smile)1 had to be pulled after, one is loose beside it now on the opposite side & he says

belive them to be 1s before tey touched my gums and teeth,,he would only do this if i had deep clean im 40 and chaces of gums clinging back ovber 40 is harder,(he kew after that my skin gums would shrink and get the loose teeth)but told me, if he doesnt do it will happen(never had a lose tooth in my life)he told me outright lies said my gums will recede if i didnt cos teeth need gums,,,and only after did they then he says oh its like a swollen foot and it goes back to size your gums

deep dental cleaning should only ever be done if you have lots of money and even then i wouldnt,,dentists are disgraceful,,sure i had ableeding gums but only wanted a cap the preseceded to giveme a bridge (my 3mm gap!.),,that failed 2 timesthey even werre trying to fit my fateeth to theor mould and not the mould to my teeth!,not to mention hshe gave me temporary it was rough and my tongue
