When you get under the boat, it automaticaly meteor smashes you. Except for snake, idk what happened there.

I've done that lots of times, it's not a glitch, though, it's just that hitting the front of the boat will kill you anyways. Jump in the water in front of the boat, if you hit the boat you die.
