But you shouldn't think that simple to say that prog libs want more gov, also it's important what the gov should do according to whoever you ask. @tmafkap The death penalty isn't a regulation, it's punishment for a crime. You mistake me for being a conservative, when I'm more libertarian than anything else. The gov is the worst mechanism for delivering education or social services. Just look at the mess its made of both. And yes, we can have a less violent society - just put more gov surveillance into our homes, work, schools, just everywhere, and employ 10 time the number of police to keep watch. I just wouldn't want to live there.
