An easy way to get this technique started (the initial roll) is to use the inside of a pen (the ink cartridge) and roll it around the cartridge a few times. It makes it simple to get that tight roll and heavy paper almost like an index card works great.

i have a request for a video or just a response. i cant buy papers legally yet, and dealers are bein lazy and wont get me any, so ive been trying to make my own. i cant figure out how to get them to stick. ive tried using bible paper, it will roll up good but then when i like it, it wont stick like when i tested it with a small peice. ive tried making glue and non have worked. what should i do, or am i doing something wrong?

Those ones are pretty good. But the smoking filter tips are still the best in my opinion.

If you want a safe way to have filters, pre-roll a bunch of them and keep em in a pouch or something. But DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT reuse filters

The problem with a helix in the middle of it is, that due to the hot smoke it expands and gets more like simple tube. So the middle of the tip isn't filled anymore and little pieces of your mix or majoram can get through it. But everybody knows that we don't smoke majoram, cause we smoke oregano.

Back to topic, the best solution for this problem is to fold a kind of accordion or M for majoram with the tip itself and roll it in the middle of it.

Trust me, it won't change it's shape.

You are correct, this is what i have tried to explain to many people but some don't understand. I find the solution you speak of the (M-filter) is best used more for blunts or much larger marijuana cigarettes. However I dont see the need to use it in regular joints because the concentric circle pattern is more then sufficient by the time the roach appears.

@leodoggy97 if you mean a cigarette filter yes you can - however there are consequences. Because the main function of a cigarette filter is to take away the harmful toxins in cigarettes. If you use it in your joint the same applies. It will take away some of the THC content of your weed and trap it in the filter. This makes you less high and you lose a bit of THC that could have been in your system. ALSO it makes it harder to toke compared to this version shown.

@Density25 cue card, but you can buy something really good at your local bureau en gros (which in Quebec is the equivalent to a business supply store) you can buy business card sheets - those are pieces of paper a little thicker then normal which is good- they are malleable for easier control - and the paper is perforated so you can rip of sections at a time and use it for filters.

@Rotinpeace123 hey sorry im really late on the response but the paper i use is thicker then a piece of paper but as thick as a business card-maybe a little little bit thinner. And as for the dangers of tobacco its inevitable unless you smoke weed without tobacco (clip) because the whole point of the carbonfibre filter on a cigarette is to excrete the bad toxins, if you use that filter for weed then you would be filtering out the thc. thus no high for you.

a way to negate that is to bring it near a flame for like 2 seconds on both sides, the heat keeps the filter from expanding too quickly, however when you smoke your j it will expand --> near the roach just pinch it

i'm using bristol paper (in art school, haha) for the filter but I like to make tinier hits since I smoke it alone (half the standard length). Is the general rule to leave a spiral for shorter joints and keep it tighter(maybe twice over) for longer ones? my brother makes skinny joints with tiny filters that are pretty weak. what's really the difference? i like spirals because they keep 'em strong

yea i do the same but only for blunts cause the heat from the smoke is much more intense and hotter and opens the filter faster, the accodian gives it strength and doesnt allow it to open fully. very sick system.

with regular joints though i find this is good if you do it properly. by the end of it you should have one diagonal line right across your filter, very cool ending before you flick it :P
