You go around the republican table and you ask the various people why they are republican. One guy says "i'm a fanatic (about abortion, guns, etc).  another guy says "cause i'm really selfish." another guy is too stupid to give a coherent reason. the last guy says "cause i hate certain groups of people."

Norquist's "Leave us alone" coalition is a joke! What an ass! He only talks about "Leaving us alone" in terms of tax cuts and gun rights, among a few other issues. What about gay rights, the right to choose, right to privacy, and so on?? What about civil liberties? What about the insane Drug War that must be ended? He and his "leave us alone" coalition are silent about or lost liberty in those areas.

@Whoo69 yup the republicans trick the masses of conservative voters to support the elite's excessive salaries with the lure of gun and religious fanatacism. While social issues are contentious i doubt if an average con also wants private interests to regin. Private interests don't want the gov/citizens to get in the way of 6 houses and they pay people like norquist to trick voters and pay our congress to their side.. or they just go to the third world where they dont pay taxes or people well
