I love GNR, I really do, I started playing the guitar because of Slash, I even bought a Slash signature guitar, but in this vid, well he just fucked up the whole thing. First of all he forces the whole band to change tempo with the solo, then he just cant bend a decent one, plus he even got lost in the notes at 4:58. I just do not understand why he did this??!! Really ?!?! Elton even looks out at him questioning the situation... Too bad, becuase he is my idol.

@doublej706 I listened to all those, firstly the 4:46 is not an error he does that effect in every live video, dont know what your talking about at 5:58. Yes the last one at 7:35 was a mistake, the note should have rung out where as his faded quickly, ill tell you why. At the end of the guitar the frets are tiny, making it very hard to not only play the note but bend it and sustain it, what happened was he hit the note, bent it and touched the groove, hence ending the sound, its not sloppy

I was told Slash does not play sloppy live, I proved them wrong. Mistakes are different than improvisation. Slash is a sloppy guitar player, he writes excellent music but he is known to play sloppy. Look at Hendrix, his mistakes became a part of the song, people copied his mistakes. Unfortuntely perfection can't be achieved on guitar since music is subjective. The goal of life is to never settle for less. So quit whining about deserved crticism of a man blindly put on a pedestal.

Thats the point of going to see your favorite band play live, to see some of your favorite music being performed and to also support the band. When Solos get technical for extended amounts of time, of course it is going to be hard to hit it note for note as the recording. Tell me some of your favorite all time guitarists...
