  • i like fj's, but my dad wants a tacoma

  • What mode did you have it in? H4? L4? with A-Trac on? Rear diff locked? What's the best mode to put in on an FJ in the snow? I often drive on 2-3 ft of snow on the highway going to work.

  • @Fizz826 i'm guessing he was in 4hi no A-Trac and no diff lock and a good mod is a 3 inch lift with M/T tires if your in deep snow or bfg all terrains for ice and snow!!

  • Grrr... My vid was better with the sound... A hint of engine revs, with Metallica 2x4 overlaid on it...

  • Awesome video

  • thats amazing

  • Wow Beautiful

  • Looks like you guys had fun! Nice camera work for the guy shooting, there was one scene where the sun was in the background and it just looked awesome! Thanks for posting!

  • great vid. did you add anything to your fj? or is everything stock?

  • In that Video, It has non stock tires... Thats it.

  • Looks like that's outside of Saskatoon where I live....is it?

  • Looks like a lot of fun. I like doing the same thing in my Subaru Outback.

  • outback?????

  • @crunchtastic O RLY?

  • Hmmm, I kinda thought my FJ made it look easy... Wait, it was easy. But that's the point. It's not supposed to be hard, It was supposed to be fun. And it was, hope you enjoyed it.

  • Im not flaming you, It's a nice car. Congrats and that was a fun to watch video.

I just don't like how people "not you" tend to think a 4X4 running over snow is uber hard to do unless you are driving the car in the "Video".

Say a Land Rover was doing that, you will see people saying "OMG LAND ROVER IS THE BEST", and So on.

  • No Sweat. I know what you mean. But hey, everybody has their preferences, I guess some are just expressing it here as a way of showing their approval for what they saw... Didn't mean to blast you either, It's sometimes hard to pickup the "TONE" of a post by just reading it... Lots of "FJ's SUCK, JEEPS rule" (and vice versa) posts out there...So It can bepretty easy to take things the wrong way.

    CHEERS!

  • JEEPS RULE!!!.... lol, total joke, I own a Jeep, my sister has an FJ Cruiser, I love my Jeep for what it does best, and her's is a sweet ride for what it does best, both awesoem in their own rights.

Great vid, playing in that fluffy snow on a sunny day is hard to beat!

  • I had the jeep Wranger Sahara. Nice vehicle very tight turning radius for a jeep of it's size.

I prefer the FJ a little more. It can be easily modified to fully locking, where as the wranger had an irritating quick acceleration disengage of the rear tires. No problem if you slowly accelerated it would stay engaged.

  • how many inchs

  • ouchhhh!!! such a stupid thing!!!!

  • wow i want 2 live in a place with that much snow

  • nice video

  • toyota fj cruiser is the best 4x4 that ever exists!!!!i have one and is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!best that a xterra and hyundai and alot more!!

  • what isnt better then an xterra or hyundai toyota just wants to compete with the best JEEP! nothing will beat a rubicon

  • Except an FJ...

  • idk iam going to find that out my dads getting the trd fj and were gonna see if its as good as my rubicon

  • They are both Excellent trucks. Each has it's strengths, and Each has it's weaknesses... Hopefully together on the trails you 2 should be unstoppable! Have fun, and post some vids of your adventures.

  • i deffintly will

  • Nice video! where is that?

  • In the snow :)

  • damn i wanted the yellow one but got a burgundy instead

    ~Roney

  • the fj crusier ROCKS! guy needs some dick cepeks or BFG's for some decent traction. 2nd song?

  • Thanks... I have Destination MT's for summer/Mud, Blizzaks for the snow Ice...

    2nd song = Metallica 2X4

  • Maybe i will not bash this fj cool song lol, something a fj was ment for! Not offroading technical jeep stuff but making traction! Im not so sure my old wrangle would hookup that good.

  • I like the FJ's. I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder Off Road Edition and off road in mostly sand/mud. Cool Vid. Sarah

  • The Nissan's do really well offroad, I've been out with many Nissans. Nice trucks, and thanks!

  • you would probably have a lot of fun in montana this year

  • Just got back from a drive through montana... You're right, it was a lot of fun. Drove the car through Lewis and Clark park...

  • I would have to say your having way too much fun out there...and where was I??? Cool video!

  • Probably winching yourself out of some ungodly situation :) But we'll get some more fun like this this winter I'm sure!

  • Looks like that's outside of Saskatoon where I live....is it?

  • lol I wanna say fj is better than a fuckin ugly hummer,,,,

  • INDEED it's better

  • hummer kick ass!!!!

  • It's not a hummer.

  • it's not a hummer.

  • "Suck my kiss!!"

  • i have one in black and i love to go off roding in sedona az but it dosent snow in arizona except in flagstaff and other places

    but it is sick

also i alove to drive it everywhere i go i drive more than i drive my 2008 S65 amg. and my fj is also an 2008 model

  • Too cool. I bought one just like it. Too bad it doesn't snow that much here in Texas. That looks soooooooooo fun!

  • that thing is ROARING the snow!!!!

  • I waaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt one!

  • im gonna email you the top of the workd run so u can put it up but i still have to upload it to my computer

  • AWESOME... Thanks Ducks101Fan!!! I just took a couple FJ's there last night... I was the only guy who tried it. Made it over no problem.

  • great entertainment. love the chose of songs

  • I test drove one yesterday. I really liked the ride. The handling was just great. I really have no complaints.

  • I wish I could take my FJ in some snow like that!

  • gotta love the slush puppy

  • JMPWoWCD, I agree with you!!! Toyota and Honda are the most reliable, overall, in my experience...they hold value longer, I worked at a car lot for awhile, and got to drive all kinds of cars, also detailed hundreds of cars and trucks, and I found that lost of American made car interiors fall apart and/or are not well designed, (saturn, pontiac,..) Its pathetic. Nice to see Toyota and Honda making quality cars inside and out.

I just got 20" Konig's on my Element. NO snow for me.

  • they r very reliable but in my opinion honda dosent make any cool cars i love toyota though

  • The FJ is the best because it is a Toyota. Unlike all others, Toyota and Honda are the best cars of all. I may sound prejudice to other brands, but just look on consumer reports. Toyota and Hoinda are on the top!

  • This baby is so nice this baby will out do a Hummer h1 and any Land rover on the rode. I swear this baby here can do w/e you like to do with it.

  • Toyota does the best off roaders always. Thats why South America is full of them.

  • It looks just like Element, lol, SUCK MY KISS FOO

  • Hey, to each his own I guess. My husband talked me into it, really. It had 13k miles, and was $14,000, and 4 wheel drive, like new, so I can't complain.

  • wish it snows like that around here

  • Love the song!! And love the toaster like trucks like my Element. Wish we had enough snow in WA to do that

  • It depresses me that you would compare an Element with an FJ Cruiser

  • I personally don't like how they look but it looks like your having fun.

  • looks like a waverunner!! nice vid

  • good song

  • Ahhh... I hate to say this, but I miss driving mine in the snow. I had a Ford Ranger pickup for years, and driving that thing in the snow was like navigating a large rollerskate. The FJ loves to be challenged!

  • The snow isnt even that deep! Looks like a big flat land area with bout foot of snow if that!

  • i love how it has 3 wipers... i want one sooo bad..

  • I love how it goes (almost) anywhere I point it...

  • No problem I have a 2006 Eclipse but I have always loved The FJ. I get the color you have or the black

  • nice

  • Thanks!

  • Good choice of vehicle, i work at a yota dealership, i've never driven an off-road vehicle with such docile road manners. Toyota has once again put out another fun to own product.

  • can't wait to get mine...great video

  • hey man do u remember how high u were kiking up the rpm's on the truck cause i have one of my own but i live in New York City and for some reason the truck does not want to redline if im on the streets and racing against somone when the light turns green, i have the trd exhaust so idk..comment back

  • You need to read the rules of "TREAD LIGHTLY". You can ruin it for the rest of us with foolish displays like this.

  • The area where this was shot was an area used for agricultural purposes. As such it is regularly torn up and cultivated by farm implements. I don't imagine a tractor pulling a cultivator/seeder/disker would tread any more lightly than me. Particularly when they tread specifically with the intent of ripping up the soil and turning it over. While I tread upon FROZEN SOLID field with a machine a fraction of the size and weight of the aforementioned implements.

  • IBDTRADER, It is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt... You ought to consider that before attemting to condemn someone you don't know for doing something you know nothing about. To show my consideration for your lack of enlightenment, I'll dignify that post with an explanation, but only because I don't believe you posted with the intent to offend anyone but rather you were (in a crude childish kind of way) trying to encourage responsible land use.

  • it would be nice to have a 2000 sqr mile land set aside for off roading. paying for the service with entry fees set aside for conservation.

  • Isn't this what driving should be all about? I have a

TRD-Edition FJ and when I hear that Metallica blasting, it reminds me of a road trip. What a great rig do do it in. Ski trip anyone? This is a great piece you put up.

  • oh wow. 6 inches of soft powdery snow! challenging it's not.... but still fun to play in. A Rubicon with front and rear locked would make for even more fun

  • My Fj's got a rear locker, didn't need it in the snow... Just lots of right pedal! Post up your vids of the locked up Rubi, Love to see em!

  • calgary alberta canada

  • Nice snow plowing marvel:P I was gonna either get a 4runner or FJ. Still having hard time to decide though! Looking at this video and several others, I'm sure they're both equally perfectly created. What I'm confused about is that 4wd full-time and part-time. What's the different?

  • Part-time means that you can switch manually between 2WD and 4WD (most pickup trucks and SUVs are like this). All-time 4WD means exactly that, you don't have the option of switching to 2WD (my father's FJ80 Land Cruiser is like this).

P.S. 4WD and AWD are NOT the same things.

  • As for the 4runner vs. FJ, get the FJ. It is WAY cheaper.

  • those cruisers r awesome offroaders, check out some of my videos, same guy too!

...i think, but yeah, more videos of FJ's on mine

  • My dream suv :-)

  • We're having a blizzard right now where I live... I should do this in my FJ!

  • dig your video man. Waiting for my FJ right now. should have it in 2 weeks will send video.

  • Prefer the FJ without the roofrack.. are these standard tires?

  • pretty standard highway type winter tires... Bridgestone blizzak dm-z3 stock size.

  • i agree roof rack is a nice accessory looks good on the fj looks like a nice rig

  • Nice wish i had some snow like that to play with when my FJ comes in.

  • Good Tunes.

  • Big deal, my grandmother does that only she listens to Frank Sinatra when she does it!

  • lol

  • Cool! I prefer the look of the FJ with a roof rack, but this is still way cool...
