  • who the girl at 0:11

  • @ChinaWillFindYa That's a DJ. They need to use the radio station where she's spinning discs to contact the Enterprise, and she's sort of in the way, which translates to reeeeealllyyyyyyy sleeeepyyyyyyy and needs a nap. That may be the only time in the series Spock pinches someone who isn't directly guarding or threatening anyone in any way.

  • The double pinch at the beginning is my fav.

  • they say this kat SPOCK is a bad M.. shut your mouth..F LOL!! talkin bout Spock.... and you can dig it

  • Excellent collection. I almost want to be a victim of a nerve pinch.

  • @kyanzes i concur it would indeed be an interesting experience

  • you should do ones from the movies he nerve pinches a horse

  • I just can't stop watching this! Awesome job :D My favourite is @00:30. Spock=for the win

  • littlemisslost23: curious, why that particular one? I'll share if you will...;-)

  • I don't know, really. Spock really looks sexy in that one :D Even more than in the others. What about you?

  • Aaaaah, you're focusing on Spock! LOL

I tend to focus more on cool reactions by the victims - facial expressions, choreography (they do a lot of that), individuals' takes on what a reaction should be, that sort of thing. My favorites change but three that will illustrate what I'm talking about: the Kohm guard in Omega Glory; the door guard (straw boater) in Piece of the Action; the female DJ in that episode. Those are SEXY.

But the music on yours (in the episode) is pretty sexy too!

  • Might help if I label them: DJ, 0:10; Kohm guard 0:25; straw boater guy ...oh that's right, he doesn't show up in this one! :-D

  • Yeah, I agree with you :D The DJ one was very great (And I thinkknow why: the choreography and coughshirtlesscough. xD I'm kidding. Well... Maybe not.;) Anyway, thanks for the video, really well made. (And I maintain my position: fav around @00:29. I think I figured out why: the blue shirt. It's made of win.)

  • I think they should have done more pinch commentary in the series dialogue. Kirk: "I like this one's blue shirt, it's made of win. *I* want to swap uniforms with this one." Spock: "That was an undeniably sexy descent into unconsciousness. Quite appealing." Kirk: "I really like the way that guy's eyes bulged." Spock: "I like to pinch females with firm muscular necks, like this one." Kirk: "Did you see the way he went up on his toes? I love when you make them go up on their toes..."

  • HAHAHAHA xD Yeah they should totally do this! :D

  • The series being like 40 years over, we may have lost our opp for script rewrites on the series. But the success of the movie opens up, well, new frontiers. "I like that one's uniform better. Give me what you have on, and you put on what this guy has on." "Nuh uh, I did that on the LAST one you [nerve pinch] [slump]..." "Sorry, Captain. YOU are wearing THIS one [starts stripping unconscious guy]."

  • Oh my you are so right. This is awesome, we should totally send this to JJ.Abrams. I'm sure he'll love it. :D And about the coughshirtlesscough one, yes, I huh, understand what you mean. Well, not that err... Okay, never mind xD.

  • We haven't even gotten into the cross-dressing opps. I always wished that after Spock pinched Marta the green-skinned slave girl, he had said something liike, "Captain. One of us must dress in this one's clothing. I propose myself."

But we can have some fun with the movies. Kirk: "psst, Spock. You never have pinched Uhura. You've gotten all the rest of us but not Uh...HELLO, Lieutenant! May I be the first to[pinch]...whoa, COOL!! FINALLY. I'll get her legs, come on..."

  • Wow, you're so right! Harr, you get all the good ideas. xD Well, maybe after being in a very embarrassing situation " Captain, may I...?" "Hurry up Spock, I think they have just seen the part when I get coughridden by a dwarfcough" (Pinch) "Well, my turn now" (pinch)

  • I really think there's not enough setting up plot excuses for nerve pinches. Abrams needs to be apprised of this pronto. Uhura-Only-Major-Crewman-Never-Pinched is, well, big time plot excuse to me. Heeeeeyyyyyy...Chapel never was, either. They didn't feature her in the Abrams flick, did they...? But she's in line too, ahem.

  • I'm pretty sure that Chapel would really enjoy to be pinched. And yes, she "featured in the movie". She had one line, and voice over. Anyway, I hope they bring her to the screen next movie!

  • Kirk: "Hello Christine. Why don't you sit with me, here, on this bench!" " What is it about, captain?" (Spock appears behind and make a move to pinch her) "Oh well, I was just thinking:you have never been pinched, right?" "no, never" (Kirk makes a sign to Spock) "Well, let's get started!" (Pinch) Kirk& Spock: "YAY! High five! Okay, let's move her over Uhura..."

  • Ran across a fanfic once. Kirk's trying to learn the pinch, and for some reason he wants volunteers to work with him and Spock. There's one...Chapel. Just as his hand touches her neck, she faints...out of anticipation I suppose, 'cause Spock didn't pinch her. Go figure.

  • Wow. This fanfiction sounds awesome :D

  • Well...you know what really sounds awesome, now that I thought of it? There's a whole CLASS of individuals on the Enterprise that never got pinched. I'm speaking of course of FEMALE CREW MEMBERS. Several kinda anonymous male redshirts got the grip, along with every major male crew member. Women? None! Calling JJ Abrams! (Should note that in "Voyager," Tuvok gets Commander Rand - who then becomes the victim of the only female pinch/uni swap I am aware of...

  • lol can u send me the link if u can find it??

  • I looked at it again, and I think I was trying to ID the one *after* the coughshirtlesscough one as a favorite. But I guess I could see why you might coughprefercoughshirtlesscoughnervecoughpinches...:-D And, yep, choreography on the coughshirtlesscough one could be seen as appealing. To, um, some. NOT to me, um, no, er, but, ah, to, you know, some.

  • Why do I not pinch you. The reasons, Ms. Girl, I shall now enumerate.

    1) Non-congruent time periods.

    2) Lack of affiliation with either Starfleet, so you would go crazy, be a loose cannon, and I have to, as Earthlings say, pinch you ass, or an alien civilization which, again as Earthlings say, needs pinchin they ass.

    3) Utter lack of any discernible logical motive.

I am, as Earthlings say, getting steamed at the utter illogic of this. Outlet. Outlet. Ah, yes. [pinch] Sleep well.

  • He's kind of a one-man wrecking crew.

  • You oughta show the scene where Spock goes mad on the bridge, and he's trying to apply the Vulcan nerve pinch on Kirk, who is able to keep Spocks hand only a couple of inches away. I think it was the episode with that flying stingray.

  • WIN. :D :D :D

  • that was brilliant lol

  • i think uhura was the only person on the ship who never received the vulcan neck pinch

  • Well, there's no way of knowing how many of the 400-odd people on the ship got it from Spock :-D, but as to main characters on the crew, you're right.

I mean, Kirk kissed Uhura. So shouldn't Spock have had a Hallmark Moment too? LOL

  • Lmao, at :17, the guard just misses punching Spock.

  • Which episode(s) is 1:33-1:35 from? I can't remember and it's driving me nuts lol.

  • Operation: Annihilate

  • THANKS:)

  • Spock = BAMF

  • Good pinch

  • Haha thank's for making this! I love how nonchalantly Spock takes everybody out.

  • 0:30 spock looked bad-ass

  • If only I had that power

    What wonders I could do

  • HA HA HA HA! at 0:38 he is like"I am going pinch you!" then gets hand blocked and then trys the other hand badass Spock

  • Whats the song called? lol and I loved the scene where they're fighting in the doorway, and spock just reached his hand over!

  • You mean the one of the Kohm guard in "Omega Glory"? 0:25. One of my favorites too.

Even if that's not it: Watch the episode. Kirk walks the unconscious guard into the cell like he's walking a drunk buddy to his door. Kirk deposits the sleeping man, and rises to hear McCoy (who hasn't even looked up) saying good morning. Kirk's incredulous "good morning!?!?!?" response is a masterpiece of (yes, Shat fans) UNDERstated acting.

  • omg at 0:57 is the best part =D

he dont even have to fight xD just -pinch-

    spock is freaking awesome!

  • lolz I know right, He pinced the shit of of those people.lol

  • I so hope there is a bunch of nerve pinches in the upcoming movie, it's the greatest move ever. So funny to know that Nimoy himself came up with it on set while filming.

It must have been so much funnier do TV those days when people could actually do such things while shooting.

  • Actually, MoonPhantom, I think people can do this sort of thing now, and do. It's just rare that anything they come up with is so good. I agree with you (obviously LOL): The pinch is the COOLEST. Just soooooooooooo smoooooooooooth.

The most any Trek episode had was four (Piece of the Action); and that's more than any of the movies. They should shoot for the record!

  • No they absolutly don't in TV-series there's big enough to have a permanent time slot somewhere.

It works in that way that the writers is sitting in a room for themselves. if the actors wanna change something, like per sa make a neck pinch instead if hitting some one with a gun, they would have to consult with the director, who would have to consult with the writers, who must consult with each other before getting back to the director.

To make a TV-series today is very timely and orderly.

  • The nerve pinch went through the same vetting process that any idea proposed for a series today would. It was totally Nimoy's idea, but you can bet it went to the highest levels of the network for approval. Remember (and I DO ;-) ): this was the Sixties. Censors were all over the place. Remember Spock's pinch of Sirah in "Omega Glory"? She's out cold as cold can be...but she'd changed position somehow :-D to COVER HER NAVEL by the second shot! Even back then, NOTHING went idea-to-screen.

  • And I should add that right after the shot of Cloud William cradling an unconscious Sirah - with her navel discreetly covered - came a shot of a Kohm serving woman, with the navel in full-view niceness.

    Nobody's perfect, I guess. :-D

  • You can't deny that the process of making these things must have changed extremly much.

It only took a week for them to shoot each Trek TOS episode, In TNG they shoot about 3-5 minutes film pr day.

  • Oh, it has changed a lot. But much of the change is due to the major enhancements in special effects (and the time many of them take to shoot). There's no way the bigwigs at network, now, then, or ever, will let an actor just toss business willy-nilly onto the screen. Control is their thing.

  • I shoudl add that, at the shooting pace you note above (let's go with five minutes per day), that's 35 minutes in a week.

Take out the commercials...that's not much less than an episode! ;-)

  • just in this special occasion. according to an interview with Nimoy, Roddenberry was on the set when Nimoy came up with it. and thereby could grant permission instantly.

I like to tell myself that's why I work with B-movies. much more freedom.

(Of cause in reality it's probably because I am not talented enough for the big things)

  • Of course, given what we now know...you get them to bend over the script...nerve pinches...mind melds...and they wake up LOVING it! lol

  • Of cause if I putted all that in the same script, and filmed it on the purpose on earning money.... NBC could sort of sue me.. And I don't have the money to pay that... Here's what I'm gonna do. Hijack J.J. Abraham, use plastic surgery to impersonate him, and have total control over the next trek movie. People gonna love it!

  • MoonPhantom: you should have had control over this Trek movie. ONE pinch. Just ONE.

    Booooooooooooo.

  • I know it's incredible isn't it.

I am such an obviuse choice for making these movie, whey they never bothered to call me must be a eternal mysteri.

  • Honestly. So many opportunities.

Uhura was so moony over Spock it must have been almost beyond tolerance. She being pretty much the only crew member who hadn't been pinched yet, she could have gotten...oh, I'd say at least two. I mean, right after the kisses. No need cutting out any fun here. ;-)

  • DAMN that pinch is hard.lol

  • lol

  • Just had an idea. More of a project lol.

You see lots of Trek clips on here with the original dialogue and everything - no music or voice-over, the scene itself the way it sounded.

How about doing that with all the pinch scenes? No rush. :-)

  • Wow! You and annafrancesca1 own the pinch franchise on Youtube! And the music works great Although maybe "Enter Sandman" could work too lol.

    Thanks!

  • Not to worry. You still rock.

  • Thought of one more.

Remember in the first part of "Patterns of Force" when Kirk and Spock are gathering uniforms?

Kirk gets his with a karate chop. And Spock gets his...

(I believe you got the other two in that one.)

  • Well, I guess I'll be updating again soon :)

  • One more thing.

Keeping in mind that this series was set in what still is a pretty distant future...anybody ever note how many of these pinchees are carrying SWORDS...??

  • Whoops...looked again and think you dropped one by accident! The pinch on the door guard in "Piece of the Action," in the scene with the kid? It was near the end of the first version...but don't think it's in this one!

Just doing what I'm told in a noble cause...

    ;-)

  • Aw man!! You're right. How did I manage that?

  • Great job!

Now for that Scotty pinch...I know it's out there somewhere..LOL...

But you may have the most complete one there is at the moment..in a nifty 1:50. Kudos!
