Im confused. I thought blender 2.5 uses python 3.x?? I notice you used 2.6 in your path. Can you explain this difference? It's just a bit of a curiosity, related to the VTK and ITK python wrappers which haven't been updated to python 3
@patmo141....i see now, Scons uses python 2 but python 3 is what is built w/ blender.

Excellent Tutorial,
I wonder why you don't make a tutorial about Blender:
-How it is structured?
- What are its main section?
just make a tutorial of how you discovered Blender for the first time.
It would be great for us (Developer who wants to be involved in Blender development) to get such Video tutorial
And As they say: One picture is better than 1000 words.
Keep me in touch if you Do this Tut.
Thanks any ways.
you're the best team, keep working.

Very nice tutorial Nathan :)
Btw, here is the .gitignore i made for cmake:
.svn
*.pyc
CMakeLists.txt.user*
cmake-*
CMakeCache.txt
CMakeFiles
The cmake-* is for the various build file folders, which i prefer to keep in the base svn folder for compactness.

this is good for artists also who wants specialized builds or just build their own daily build of blender. because it aint that hard.
On OSX it's really easy get subversion on macports then it's jsut some terminal commands.
