Positive grounds for rationality? How rational is it to make an absolute negation? Not very rational at all. Common logical fallacy for atheists.
How do you get a "rational answer" when all you see around you is time+matter+chance. How can you come to a rational point of view when those molecules in your brain causing that thought is a product of time+matter+chance.
Also Sarfati's points were on the meaning of apologetics. ie. Having an answer to questions from bigoted, loud-mouthed atheist
Out of logic, I give a reasoned defence of rational concepts. against objections. Setting forth positive grounds for rationality. Not only showing that Christianity, Islam, and indeed all religions are wrong; but showing why atheism, or at the very least agnosticism is true.
Why? Because I hate people being manipulated and lied to. When there are rational answers out there.
Rationality is not a something to believe in. It is through rationality that Christians believe what they believe and learn to have Faith for what is beyond the compass of human rationality.
Atheists are cowards who think only what they know can be real, and think that they know what is real and what is not. Atheists think that human reason is reality. But reality is not the same thing as what a human mind can rationally comprehend.
Due to character and time constraints... " It is through rationality that Christians believe " -No. "And learn to have faith" -Absurd! Rationality does not lead to blind faith. "Atheists are cowards" -You are the cowards. Atheists accept the reality of death. You... Do... Not. Immortality?!?! "Atheists think that human reason is reality" -No. "But reality is not the same thing as what a human mind can rationally comprehend." -Yes. Cheers!
@L00NGB00W I am still right. Your "yes" and "no" jive is meaningless as argument. Christians accept revelation and rationality. Christians don't follow BLIND FAITH. Keep your stupid strawmen to yourself, please. Death is real, but it is not the end of existence. You think it is - with no evidence. Science cannot explain consciousness, neither can evolution explain the hyper-intelligence that humans bear out of proportion to our environmental needs.
@L00NGB00W Nope. We Christians respect reason and rationality and reality and revelation. You reject revelation. That makes you less able to understand this universe, but that's your problem.
Right back at ya. When you decide to abandon superstition and end your telepathy sessions with your bronze age invisible friends, then I might be more accepting of your viewpoint.
@L00NGB00W I didn't attempt to answer your comment in the intervening time. I do have a life. You would do well to realize that there is no time limit here. Again, throwing up red herrings is not argument. You make too many flawed assumptions. Get a clue.
Rhetoric? Red herrings? flawed assumptions? What are you talking about?
Are you even commenting on MY posts?
On second thought don't answer any of that, oh ancient one. I don't really care. And I'm sure you don't want to hear from an 'Extremist Materialist Fundamentalist'
@L00NGB00W You are correct that I am no longer interested in hearing what you have to say (If you ever had anything to say in the first place.). You have nothing to offer anyone on this topic but a bunch of loud and useless squawking. Be gone.

Eh? 1 + 1 is not= to 7
Absolute negation and truth.

Yes Christian apologetics.
I was referring to having an answer to bigoted loud-mouthed Theists.
Which is atheist apologetics.

Hmm, I guess that makes me an atheist apologetic.

"You think it is - with no evidence"
Pfft. You think Heaven and hell are real with no evidence. What's more likely?
An end to life when it dies?
Or two supernatural planes of existance? One of eternal pleasure, and the other of eternal torment?
Christians accept revelation and reality even though reality disputes revelation?
That's what we call living in denial.
The univerese and earth was created in 6 days. (blind faith)
That Is a physical impossibilty! Look into General relativity!!!

True, I reject revelation.
But when you consider that revelation is self-contradictory nonsense, then I'm not missing out on much.

@L00NGB00W So you say. But I wouldn't trust you to be right about anything. You're an extremist. A materialist fundamentalist.

Gee, it took you a month to come up with a response to my retort? I had assumed this conversation was over ages ago.
Have a good day Oh ancient one.
