She has a good voice as a starting point, but the synthetic "instrumentals" don't help and her interpretation greatly diminishes the dramatic potential of this composition. It takes on a pop feel. Beautiful, yet strange. The spanish works only to a certain extent as the rythm doesn't match the music, which is a very distinct quality in Purcell's original work. The drama and intensity of Colleen's performance is good, though it would be interresting to hear her experiment with her vibrato. Maybe less of it could reveal more of her vocal strengh?
