This music was great. grew up with it but now that I listen to it it sound like alot of bitching. We struggle through life for different reasons but still we to be better ourselves. Just to put things into perspective.....you can listen to a song but until you experience it live you'll never fully feel the song. Ever gone berzerk in a slipknot pit? ever wanted to rip your own fuckin flesh off as Otep lays out her lyrical passions? I doubt that for alot of people.......but alot of other people understand what I'm saying.

Real Music is based on true feelings, You can feel the hurt the singer has went though which makes this music so much better. Everyone can relate in someway on another. The "new" music has no feeling, just people wanting to make a buck. thats why it sux.

modern music doesnt qualify as art. the "music" has no emotion or personal reflection since its computerized beeps and repetative, theres no emotion in the vocals OR the lyrics. and most of its talking about things 90% of the population doesnt understand. like money.

@beyondtheevils You can't label ALL modern music as the same, my friend. I know of several kids my age writing songs that are VERY powerful, and most of them have influences like Staind, Godsmack, Metallica, AC/DC, and so on. Just because the 'preferred' music isn't able to be classified as true art, doesn't mean all new music can't.
For reference, I'm fifteen years old.

@Playerc0 I agree. In the 50s, big band listeners hated rock n roll. While I am not a JB fan, its his music and there are kids who like him. I love R&B, classic rock, Jazz. I can listen to ABBA then Earth, Wind and Fire, and then put on some Bad Company or Led Zep, and turn around and listen to Keiko Matsui and Third Force. I think Staind is great. This is a good song and I want enjoy it. I think its ok to dislike todays music without bashing an individual like JB.
