  • Hooah! Dave5966. Welcome Home Brother! Vietnam - An Khe; Pleiku; Nha Trang; Chu Lai; Dec 68 - Mar 72.

  • My good old favourite helicopter, the sweet HUEY from Bell Helicopter Textron.

  • 'Chickenhawk'. About time they made a film of the book.

  • what is he checking at the back of the helicopter?

  • what a beautiful ship!

  • Boring!!!

  • @jeffrosamson then y watch it?

  • one word: SEXY!!!

  • ...Help is almost on the way !

  • Best sound and best smell, burning JP-4. 173rd Assault 1969-1970

  • @dave5966 I agree. Love the sound of those things. VERY distinctive. HHC, USATC and FTCKY, 1971.

  • Two kinds of helicopter pilots, those that flew Hueys and those that wish they had.

  • Great video, the crew chief would check the hell hole on startup, where most of your problums would happen besides the tail rotor. That is the best sound ever, if you are a old time vetran you will know what I am takling about. Phil

  • Looks like the tail rotor isn't spinning much at all.

  • @WheelsRCool thats kuz the tail rotor is so fast ur eyes slow it down so u can see it

  • @WheelsRCool It's an optical illusion. The framerate of the camera's recording and the RPM of the tail rotor match up just so to make it look like it's not spinning. There's a video of that optical illusion happening on the main rotor of a hovering Hind. Trippy, man.

  • Notice the crew chief looking in the side compartment on start up (looking for flames) then he locks the side door. Always grab the legs on the seat and shake them to make sure they are locked in before you sit down and buckle your self in or you might slid out the door still buckled to the seat.

  • Dude in front....step back!

  • @smokeyvalley1 his all like "i'm just gonna stand here and be cool cos i'm wearing camo"

  • hey tannerld if you don't mind me asking a kind of stupid question how far does the center wall stick out from the back of the crew area of those hueys I'm trying to make a 1:6th scale replica and need this info.............if you don't mind me asking................

  • I hate hi speed cameras...make the blades stand still :(

  • Tripods are nice....but, alomst useless when trying fo follow the F16 And18's they are just too fast.

  • @pjezierski very good

  • fantastic helicopter..its a life long dream to ride in a HUEY,....WOP!, WOP!, WOP!

  • next time use a tripod (I am dizzy)

  • Is that the canes that makes the tail look like it's going slow?
