  • @ 9:12 does ato bolden say f that camera lol

  • I didn't move!!

  • Sounds like Chris Tucker

  • There is fault on both sides here........Drummond for his behaviour, and the French for using a proffessional sports meet to test a new sonic starting system. It operates based on the theory that a human cannot react in less than 100 milliseconds. Drummond reacted in 52 milliseconds which means he guessed the start and got it right! The system does not allow for reactions less than the allotted time. Since then they have disposed of this system and implemented a digital one.

  • False start = Impusling on the starting blocks less than 100ms before the gun shoots. Both of them did impulse too early. That's it, just hazard both did at that time.

  • I didn't remember Powell was here

  • Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windshield........Drummond was the bug on this occasion!

  • I remember this one.........it just got worse and worse.......he just keeps digging himslf further and further into a hole......the officials arent goning to change their minds.

  • @stegatops well, in track & field they can do it.

  • 5:07 encore un excellent pronostic de patrick montel ...

  • I DID NOT MOVE!!!

  • like a kid in a store that does'nt get a toy that he wants....

  • @hampzuz yeah, i kid whos been ytraining his ass off for years to even get to the toy store just to realize that hes not allowd to get the toy,

  • 5:34 "ulala la la la" xD

  • Childish unprofessional twat.

  • @jefflyall94

Easy for you to say. These athletes have trained their whole lifes to get there. Obviously both he and powell got unrightfully disqualified for false start, you cant even imagine how that must have felt for them.

  • This is the most beautiful action in the history of athletics (for me). John Drummond is my master. Likewise, I did. He did not move ... xD

Powel also did well going back to the block xD

    Yours!

  • He did not move. D:

  • He did not move... he reacted in 52 milliseconds!!!!!

  • the funny thing is that he didnt accually false start, experts have investigated that drummond reacted faster than possible for a human beeing - they said it was like he "sensed" the shot before it even had been shot

  • John Drummond doesn't like this

  • 'I Did Not Move: The life and times of John Drummond'

    Available from all good bookstores.

  • Un grand moment de sport !!!!

  • Lying on track like a boss

  • He did not move!

  • awww look at powell, didnt know what shit he d get into a few years down the line

  • respect for drummond, RESPECT!

  • It doesn't show it on this clip but his foot twitches in the blocks which set of the electronic system. Rules clearly state there is to be no movement at all, however he should of been able to run under protest instead of all that messin around from the officials !

  • haha jme rappelle de ce moment trop!!!! jcherchais la video g trouvéééééééééééé!!!

  • he really didnt move! WHen you watch closely you see that he start with the all guyz! Powell was clearly out

  • @raoulhery

Yeah! I don't know exactly how this system was working but if you look carefully at 2:52, he clearly did not move. Powell clearly started too early but Drummond did not. He actually still had his feet on the blocks while Dwight Thomas on the 3rd lane moved his back feet before him.

  • @irocedtube The system used to work in the way that if you moved "too fast", meaning... faster than you can react to sound, it would signal a false start. This system is no longer active. Drummond reacted in 52 milliseconds wich isn't possible, meaning he took a chance, still he didn't start before the signal wich tests have showed afterwards.

  • I felt so sorry for him because I remenbered he didn't move!!!! he's right to contest, by the way he's sexy je me rappelle regarder l'athletisme il y a 10 ans juste pour regarder les beaux gosses du sprint ato boldon, maurice greene et j'en passe lol

  • Video doesn't lie: Drummond did NOT false start.

2:51 shows Powell moving FIRST, of all things.

What an absurd call. The official should have been removed from the sport.

  • I Did Not Move: The J. Drummond Story

    Blockbuster right here^

  • powell looks much thinner here! Today Powell looks about 20lbs heavier than he does here, he's put on muscle like Bolt!

  • hello, Mr. i didnt move man!!

  • I was there!! right in front of me!! I'd never seen someone sadder!! it was aweful!!! they changed this stupid rule after that but unfortunatly someone have to be sacrificed... anyway bigups for these great athletes!!!

  • hes right, look at the replays, he did not move

  • @MrPresident2032 yea but he is only allowed to move 1 thenth after the gun

  • what did ato say at 9:10

did he tread lanes/was he dqed??

  • @jivetome get away from me ...(someting) ....

  • GO Drummond he was right!! these idiots wanna disqualify anyone just to make a name for themselves!!

  • What a G. Classic moment in athletics

  • DRUMMOND IS SO BEAUTIFUL GUY !!!

  • I FUCK ALL ASSES BITCHES I M THE BEST OF ALL TIME

  • en tt cas il est trop beau!

  • pathetic that refs couldnt handle the situation

  • i feel bad for drummond this was his real last chance to get a individual medal.. he was nearly 35 at this time.. and he has never won any individual medal in his over 10 year career.. only Relay.. so i feel it for him here.. and seeing how the finals was won in a pedestrian 10.07 who knows what might have happened had drummond made it.. sad sad

  • From my view, that was a fair start.

  • Fakinkäps! You took his dream away from him! Fuck the electronic start system. He did not move! They should've disqualified only Asafa Powell.

  • Ato Boldon, what a prick... 4:43 "Why me?" Does he realize how lucky is to have remained in that race... and to have won it with a pedestrian 10.09?

  • @LiveAthletics he said why me because he was also in the 1996 olympics finals false start drama that linford christie refused to leave the track.. many people think if it wasnt for all that drama ato would be olympic champion and not Bailey..all the drama and waiting and hooplaw threw him off his game and he came 3rd.. he was definately the man to beat at that olympics

  • this is why i say asafa will never get a gold medal...this was is year!

  • i feel bad...he trained real hard...and they take it away from him.

  • Its still a terrible thing, i mean, asafa powell just walked off and sat down, may have been hard done, but he didnt make a stupid fiasco like drummond

  • i dont think he moved...i mean he means it!

  • hahahah...get away from me your fucking camara..

  • Merci !!!!

  • What is classic is that it really wasn't a false start. He could've done it.

  • LMFAO>....this is a classic.. thank u drummond

  • I remember this watched live on Erosport LOL

  • this is so funny

  • how they disqualifying two people for 1 false start ???

  • they didn't, the first was a warning

  • Of course they did. They disqualified Powell and Drummond. This year they did the same on the World Champs in the quarter finals...

  • @WastemanDotCom

You can disqualify two people in one false start, you just have to be sure that they did not react to each other (so usually they are not next to each other)

  • @WastemanDotCom same time in tousand

  • Comment removed

  • @WastemanDotCom 2 false starts at 1 start

  • @WastemanDotCom

start reaction of both was too fast, under 0,12 second and that´s not allowed

  • does anybody have any movies from decoration from that championships? , that music was outstanding

  • 6:17

    rofl at the french

  • i hate that rule its so gay but this guy makes it funny loll

  • i see live ang it was amazing!!!

  • He's funny.. ^^

To be honest, the electranic Control System showed, that he moved bevore the allowed reaction time, wich is showed in the chart, where he and asafa powel is marked red because they were faster then the human reaction time.....

    so hi did move....

  • sorry to disagree with you guy, but u cannot DQ 2 people at the same time. That was utterly ridiculous.

Now the bit about the electronic timing is correct, however this was a complete farce.

  • move bitch!

  • One of the commentators real sucks ! real sad !

He said Powell & Drummond were allowed to compete again by the officials

    He fuckin' didn't move !

  • well thats is funny but i would actully like to know what they used to find out that he moved

but to be honest i dont think he moved

  • Magic moment of athletics ! I love this sport !!

  • das war echt geiL "I did not move" :D

  • Poooooooooor ;-(
