  • I think the inventor was Victor Poncelet,a famous engineer from France who's name is on the Eiffel tower. He was also the first to reference the term"fatigue"to inanimate objects e.g. 'Metal fatigue' and also a measurement of power before 'horsepower' was called a 'Poncelet'

  • A Poncelet Wheel was a very effecite water wheel design. Usually compareable with most turbine types...

    Runs well for a 'show' wheel.

  • Great Job. Poncelet was a Belgien engineer who invented this type of waterwheel.

  • I can find nothing in any Poncelet biography that indicates he was Belgian.
